Habitat: Grasslands/Forest
Height: 1.9 m
Weight: 70 kg
About an egg:
Raikhar eggs can usually be found attached to the trees or bushes. The fur covering them makes sure the eggs maintain perfect temperature, and also protects them upon occasional falling. Despite looking like an easy target for other predators, these eggs are protected by their awful taste. Not many creatures would be tempted to eat a Raikhar egg.
About the creature:
Newly-hatched Raikhars are very small and don't usually stray far away from their tree or bush, spending most of their time either hiding from larger predators or searching for food. At this stage they're omnivorous and can devour almost anything - there've been reports of baby Raikhars consuming Faymanita eggs with no visible consequences, although it's speculated that this leads to behavioural changes later, when an adult creature would purposefully seek and devour Faymanitas on regular basis.
Reaching teen age, Raikhars begin to grow rapidly. Their wings lag behind in development, but the strong legs compensate for that, allowing the creatures to reach considerable speed. To make the most of this, Raikhar youngsters move to more open spaces and team up with other youngsters. It is still being debated whether it's the size of the mane, the brightness of the tail markings or the pitch of the shriek that determines one's rank in these groups. Young Raikhars are highly territorial and aggressive, to the point when even larger predators can be attacked and driven away by them.
As their wings develop and they become airbourne, Raikhars' behaviour takes a turn towards calmer, even though the danger they pose when threatened does not diminish. At this point, they might stay in their group or leave to lead a solitary life. The shrieks they would use for communication during their teen stage usually become more complicated and variable, leading to many people even finding them pleasant to listen to. It's not that easy to accomplish, though, as the fully-grown creatures prefer to stay away from humans, and, if tracked and followed by one, can lash out in return.

Please correct me if I'm speaking broken English here somewhere. And sorry for the looks of this egg, I'm not too proud of it... The truth is, I almost forgot there was supposed to be an egg and drew it in at the very last moment, silly me 😃

@prairie
Halloween creatures, the best creatures 😊 Thanks! And yeah, I wanted to make the second one look kinda grumpy and intimidating in a "you-touch-me-I'll-bite-your-fingers-off" kind of way. But well, that's one of the points why the three stages are different - everyone can get their own personal favourite 😃 Glad you liked it!

I was spooked at first, to be honest. The stages were creepy but in a good away. I like all the stages. If this creature was available, I'll get it! 😊
