✔️ Tropoki - [Summer/Tropical] Creature Suggestion

Summer is a time of Vacation and relaxation for many. Many people choose to spend their Sumers visiting the tropical Southeast beaches and jungles of Ark. While there, you can relax and take a load-off on the sunny beaches, cool off in the crystal clear ocean waters, or explore the lush jungle life. As you are walking around, you might spot some of the local monkey creatures gathering fruit and coconuts. Why don't we learn some more about these tropical monkeys?


Introducing the Tropoki!
Tropoki are beautiful creatures that adorn their fur with tropical flowers and leaves. The Tropokis' closest realatives are their desert cousin species, the Shawloot. Tropoki keep their original coconut half their whole lives. They use the shell for gathering water, food and other materials. Tropoki typically have two offspring at a time, as stay with them until they have finished most of their adolescent life, much like humans. The SARC has predicted that the Tropoki species has adapted to having a higher rate of having two offspring due to coconut halves used by the species to hold their eggs.
Tropoki's diet consists of only fruit, their favorites being mangoes. Popular tourist areas in the tropics of Ark sell mangoes to tourists to give to Tropoki. However, this poses a problem for locals, as Tropoki will hang out in the area and demand food. Some people have even reported Tropoki taking belongings until food is given. For this reason, the Town Hall is in the process of placing a law against feeding wild Tropoki.

About Tropoki Eggs
Tropoki eggs are placed inside coconut halves by their parents. The most common explanation to why Tropoki do this is because it provides a hard base for the otherwise soft egg so they can easily place them securely in trees. The parents of the Tropoki egg use tropical flowers and leaves to help camouflage the egg in the surrounding vegetation. If a Tropoki's coconut shell is broken, the parent can easily find another; but until a new coconut is found, the egg will stay with the mother at all times.

@prairie Wow! I was hoping someone would make a monkey suggestion for June! 😱 This is absolutely perfect!! The description and design- You definitely have a talent for drawing and have amazing ideas❤️
First stage is my fav ❤️ 😊

One suggestion (feel free to ignore):
The white seems a bit too clean. Maybe make it a yellowish white? Idk just my opinion!
Otherwise this is great!

I like making underused animals in my creature suggestions. 😊 We really don't have enough monkeys. XD
I'm so happy you like both the design and creature! 😃
On the white being more clean, I would say it would be Ok for there to be a light creamy yellow color in some areas but not in all. The monkeys design is based off of the Common Squirrel Monkey, same as the shawloot's design, and I wanted to use white to set the designs and colors to be more diverse than the shawloot. I chose to use more white in the design because it also lightened things up more, and made it look more tropical like to me. 😃

And lol, I actually did base the monkey's stealing of items off of the behavior of actual monkeys in Bali, Indonesia who will hold tourist's items ransom in exchange for food. 😸 xD
