Thank you all for participating! I just haven't updated my posts yet, but I see you all.

It has been going really well so far and I'm excited to see the results, but I reckon we can all do one better. I'm enjoying our fun, but I realised that a good strategy for this attempt is to prioritise posting while I am not online, ergo I miss out on a bunch of the fun. That makes me sad because I too wish to go all out in our marvellous mayhem and to inch ever so closer to the goal of a million posts.

So knowing this, I will have to figure out an improvement for a future contest. How can I ensure some method to the madness and not to mention increase the prize pool in a way to have users question my sanity? Oh my munchkins, I have put much thought into this in the last few days and have decided that the most delightful solution would be...

Achievements.

My desire is to reward participation and exactly that I will do. I definitely do not have the details planned out as that will be a future me problem to gleefully go over. Would I have hidden achievements, how difficult would any of the achievements be, what sort of prizes and how would I ensure it is fair for everyone? My labour of love may end up being a headache of horror but that's a future me issue.

For now, it is game on as usual but if anyone does have ideas for this future event, I would love to hear it! This current event is not changing at all but our future will be so stay tuned for this future event.

@mastergemma A mix of hidden achievements but visible milestones might be nice. You could have a hidden one where someone who starts a new specific page number (hidden) gets a bonus prize. It'd be easy to check since they'd be the first post on the page.

For more visible achievements you could do milestones. Base it on post number or amount of new pages since the contest began. Those it might be better to be added to the prize pool instead of going to a specific user. Might also be nice to have some kind of goal that involves the amount of unique participants. Could even base it on the amount of unique users that posted for the day (might be hard to track).

I think it's just a nice idea to have some that aren't based on count, so people with less time can still win stuff for participating.

Those are just some random ideas I had.
