Halloween Mega Giveaway 2026!

hello all! i have some excess seeds from the halloween fair and so it's time for my first giveaway! big thanks to @/christine13531 for hosting them in in the previous years, i'm happy to take up the mantle for these event giveaways! there are multiple parts that you can participate in, so please read them all!

> everyone has a 2500 seed allowance to select anything in the prize shop with!
> for creature requests, please let me know if you have a preference on gender and stolen date, otherwise i'll get a random gender to you as soon as i can

> i couldn't figure out how to give out the snop or ocktin so I suppose a raffle will do. players who haven't had the chance to obtain either of these can enter a raffle for a snop or ocktin! (they are separate raffles) the raffles will end on oct 30 @ 12am ect and the creatures will be stolen on oct 31.
> when entering the lottery, please ensure you'll be able to claim the prizes on oct 30. i will ask for a gender preference but if a response isn't given on time i will randomize it. you also have a week to claim it; otherwise the raffle will be redrawn.


> when i started on eggcave people had the practice of changing their status to "lights on!" for other players to comment "trick or treat!" so that the player can gift the halloween prize bags to each other. it was so fun but i don't really see players doing that anymore...but i shall bring it back!
> my lights are on! comment on my wall with a "trick or treat" once every day for a randomized gift bag! i would also like to invite any other player who'd like to participate in this tradition, as i found it a very fun community event back when i was new 😊


and disclaimer: i will be working hard to keep this going for as long as possible; i will probably allow notifications to build up so that i can gather enough seeds and mass gift all the players (at least once per day)! if i miss out on anything feel free to remind me through the forums/pms

@prettyiggy since i can only buy one ocktin, that will be raffled off at the end of the month! i will add you to the list.
there is a separate 2500 seed budget where you can pick anything in the prize shop for me to send over!
finally, the lights on event is where you post "trick or treat" on my wall once per day to get a random gift bag!

Okay, great, thanks for clarifying! My brain is definitely muddled today. I'll take the 2500 seed budget, how would that work if I want an Ocktin & you can only get 1 per/person? Would you send me the 2500 seeds so I can add 500 for the Ocktin? Or will I need to choose something else? Sorry to be so concrete...

@prettyiggy the ocktin/snop is not something you can select as part of the 2500 seed budget because they both exceed that amount. rather, you can enter your name into a raffle for them at the end of the month. you can do both the raffle and the seed budget

for the 2500 seed budget, you can select one or more items from the prize shop, as long as the total price of the creatures/bags/travels are less than or equal to 2500. is there anything else you want in the shop that's not the ocktin or snop?

@myriadium Oh throwback I forgot lights on/lights off used to be a thing, that was really fun. Awesome of you to bring it back and host this giveaway ^^ I've been focusing on getting enough seeds to get travels and creatures from years I missed, but hopefully I'll get enough to also join in with having lights on for trick or treating!
