Supercharge your item collecting! Every couple of days, a randomly retired item on Egg Cave will begin appearing in the Donations Center. This includes retired event items. Note that Cash Shop items cannot and will not appear as part of this new feature. (You can, however, donate a Cash Shop item from your Inventory if you so choose.)
These items will appear to be donated by the official Egg Cave account @eggcaveteam.
You can now select Inventory items via checkboxes and send them all directly to the Donations Center. For your safety and so you don't hit a wrong button, you will need to click Confirm on a new confirmation pop up.
A 60 second cooldown has been implemented between collecting items from the Donations Center. In addition, when moving items from your Inventory, the confirmation pop up only appears for when you're donating items (since, in this case, items are physically leaving your account).

@Ian, when I attempt to send a couple of items to the donation center via the "Send to donations" button, I get an error message saying "No Shop Space - You attempted to send 5 items but have 2 spaces left. You will need to expand your shop size." Just wanted to let you know 😉

@shadowsearcher there will be one retired item appearing in the Donations Center every couple of days. Just at once. We expect them to go quick and only be there for a few minutes.

This is great! Hopefully there will be more items in the donation center now 😊 I agree with riceboysleeps that players should only be able to get one item every couple of minutes. Seems more fair that way.

@Ian I still see that the donation center is barren. I think it's because some people take a bunch of items. Can you make it so that there's a delay in between when people can take items? Maybe a few minutes?

@ian Will you ever consider putting a cooldown on items that can be obtained from the donation center? I would donate a lot of items if I knew a large portion of items will not be potentially claimed by a singular player.

Donation Center is usually barren. 1 retired item every few days is not going to fill it up. Most people just give their items away to people they know vs using donation center.

I mentioned a cooldown not for that singular item that will be released occasionally, but for donating my own items into the center. I always refrained so because there are players who will hog all the items. (1/3)
Since the donation center was brought up, I figured it is an opportunity to ask for one to be implemented. Maybe players will be more willing to donate? I cannot speak for everyone though. (2/3)

I agree with @poptarts, I would like there to be a delay in between when people can take items from the donation center. I would also be more willing to donate if the items weren't taken immediately by one or a small number of people. Thanks for working on this @ian 😊

@ian On mobile the send to donation center text and send to the shop is really close together, and the confirmation text doesn't confirm whether you're sending it to one or the other (both are just generic "are you sure you want to do this?") Can this be changed please?

I was saying that about the cool down due to those who comment saying it's barren when it always is vs people had already taken everything. So yes on that basis alone and only 1 item being donated every few days is no reason for a cool down. If donating does it really matter?

Cool down for shops...still fully stocked more often then not. Usually when not the shop cleared out on it's on. Not implemented cause it's not needed. People asked for cool down for that. Releases cool down for that. Wow still some in there and so on.

@ian This is a great improvement to the donation center. I would also vote to add a cooldown for taking items. Imagine the money tree on Neopets if people could take as many items as they wanted. It would be bare all the time, too. Fix that, and it'll be excellent 😊

Forgotten fact about Money Tree on Neopets it is mainly filled with junk and you can get multiple items before cool down. Cool down is not really needed there as well for that fact alone. People who want to sit forever and can will get the items cool down or not.

Subeta has a huge free give away and due to the amount of players cool down is used. Then again huge groups of players will attack in stages during cool downs and work around that to help each other. Just mainly limits sites page views for advert potentials vs hoarding etc.

@sapphire12 I agree!! Its confusing me a bit when the "confirmation" button appears for each one! If I click it fast and it only says "confirm" for shop, strongroom, and donation center, then I have no idea which one I clicked and I get nervous that I chose the wrong one. @ian
