@dcmaster oh yeeesi agreei know the downsides......it's gonna be real hard!i think maybe a compromise?like the creature's price does go up as the rarity encreasesmaybe a LE rerelease date? or week? or something like thatlike, a special day/period of time where (not toooo rare) LE's are...

@dcmaster thanks for the ping ^^But tbh, I don't really like the idea of rerelease. Sorry βΉοΈ I still think the csp and the end of the year sale is a good idea, tho.π

@wonglikiu821Thanks for reading and replying c:Definitely! Maybe there could be a time of year where it's a week of rereleases similar to creature release week like a creature rerelease week. Could you guys help with pings please? I need more opinions π Thanks so much!Pings:@orderedch...

@budgieI think Lyralopexs are worth more than 600 CC at this point. They're pretty popular, as well, so around 1k CC if the Rotehar was 1k a couple months ago. The Tervita's value is probably the same as the Rotehar because of the rerelease in December (I honestly can't tell which creature is more...

@chiroptera Gotcha
chiroptera • 10 February 2018 at 3:54 PM
@raccoon I don't understand what you mean exactly, but I believe any creatures that currently have the "retired" tag shouldn't be available again.

@degongI don't really know how I feel about the idea of a Macbot/Doovoo, ect. rerelease. π I mean, on the one hand, I would like to get one of each, BUT half of the reason I want one is because they are so rare. :lIf they weren't as rare, I wouldn't want one as much. Also, like @chiroptera...

@chiroptera Not trying to start an argument, but I'm curious on what you think of non-cash shop rereleases? For example a contest or a raffle.
chiroptera • 10 February 2018 at 3:33 PM
@degong I'm strongly against the idea of rereleases, especially for creatures of this rarity; you've mentioned one of my reason in your fourth point. This isn't some cheap 20 dollar creature; collectors have spent several hundreds of dollars for them (I think, since the onny recently sold for 80kcc...

@degong I personally don't really /want/ a macbot myself, but I do agree that certain creatures are insanely difficult (read: impossible) to find. Let alone find one UFT, and have it be something the average person could actually afford. We need to have highly controlled re-releases as to no...

@degong Rereleasing is such a polarizing subject, however I am among the players who is strongly in favor, especially when we're talking about creatures such as the Macbot where you can't even find one for trade. I think your points are spot on for the most part. I think ultimately what would end up...

Before you all come with your pitchforks and flaming torches, let me explain.1. I'm not not asking for a Macbot common free-for-all. All the Macbot needs is one or two days in the Cave (or CSP), and that's it. It can even be available for, say, three hours, if this really makes you twitch...

Wotcher. Before you comment, chill for a sec, sit back, relax, deep breath, and here's a story time for you. I've been here since 2011, and I LOVED the Roo (still do), and I was having trouble getting one, so one day, 25 of November, 2011 (This date is important tho), I made an eggcave topic cal...

@immortalravenI don't know if it's just me or whatever, but I find that adoptables tend to end up the same... They don't innovate or whatever. Which is the original reason why I had an hiatus on here, moved out and then came back. I tried this site, Neopets and PokΓ©Heroes. They're all nice in the...

@immortalravenI was here when Egg Cave started and I do remember when things were much more fun. Like I previously said (maybe not on this topic) Ian should review his rules and the direction he wants his game to take. And you're entitled to dislike Neopets, but it all depends on perceptions. Neop...

I have taken a long hiatus I'll admit it. Returning to Egg Cave has been fun, but I've stumbled on a lot of negative things. Including the topic about creature rereleases. I'll be honest, I'm in the middle of it all. I understand those who want rereleases and I understand those who don't. I'll put a...

Thanks @momokie - I like that idea about leveling up with the retired creatures too!I mean, there's ways for re-releases to be done with it being fair to everyone. Someone mentioned a voucher/ticket system - vouchers could be earned (a voucher for logging in every day of a month? or completing t...
momokie • 19 April 2017 at 9:20 PM
@theonlypandora Ya know..... I really like that idea cause it wouldnt be an influx all at 1 time because everyone has different anniversary dates. It could be date incentive: 1st and 2nd year anniversary only can choose from retired creatures from this year to that year and the more you stay on...
theonlypandora • 19 April 2017 at 9:16 PM
So, just throwing this out there (and I only skimmed this thread so I don't know if it was suggested or not, my apologies if it was!), but what if each player was granted one retired creature of their choice as an anniversary gift each year? The user would *have* to log in on their Eggcave anniversa...

thank you to everyone so much for sharing your opinions, i hope you feel welcome here to be as contradictory as you like! i have to read the posts again thoroughly before i can properly reenter the discussion but i hope we can keep this topic a lively open place for the community's thoughts on this!...

@iceiceice I agree so much with that! We have tons of new creatures but it keeps getting harder and harder to find the old ones and that is quite sad because most of them have values that are just too high or usually they just sit in abandonned caves... it would be nice to give everyone a chance to...
murfijs • 14 April 2017 at 4:49 AM
@spectaclenest i like your idea its soo cool
iceiceice • 12 April 2017 at 1:38 AM
we should have creatures re-relreased lol. It's kind of ridiculous how we just keep on adding more and more creatures and "moving on" from the old one.
jirachiwishmaker • 12 April 2017 at 1:04 AM
@flowerlynxEggcave has never done a rerelease ever, but they wouldn't do it on a recently retired creature. It'd only make sense that they'd do them on older creatures and if they do that rerelease that doesn't necessarily mean it's gonna be cheap again either. Also it's gonna be a one purchase,...
flowerlynx • 12 April 2017 at 12:42 AM
Creature re-releasing has some good things, but many bad things to go along with it. Imagine this scenario. You have sold something on eBay, and decide to use all... let's say, $100 on CC. You buy some rare creature with it. Now, the next week or month, eggcave re-releases that same creature you'd...
veritaspunk • 11 April 2017 at 11:56 PM
@daisy1664 I've resigned myself to the fact that I can't get caught up in this and have ultimately accepted that having a full collection of every creature is just not plausible unless I have a decade and 1000's of dollars ... I just didn't join at the "right time" ... kinda like stocks...
quetzalcoatl • 11 April 2017 at 10:50 PM
@sky I agree 100% Those methods sound like great ones. Because a creature re-release needs to be controlled for sure. otherwise, those users who slaved and sacrificed alot to get those dream "rares" ... will most likely get upset (i know i would in that case)... as it makes them no longe...
ethereality • 11 April 2017 at 7:18 PM
@sky I totally agree β€οΈ Your methods are really cool!
sky • 11 April 2017 at 4:26 PM
I'm for and against re-releasing creatures. However I'm going to agree with @Motivecat"[i]What we do need though is a way to cycle rare creatures back into circulation so that they do NOT become "virtually" extinct. Your suggested way is a horrible way off putting rare creatures bac...

@degong I actually really love the idea. That way, you could have a dream creture, but it'd be impossible to trade off. It is very creative as well as thoughtful.
