@dragrawr it'd be funny if that did happen the Velwurm also needs a shoutout so it has more of a chance of actually happening.

@sulvas Mh, mh. Makes sense. I've still got plastic straws squirrelled away in one of my drawers, they're striped in either blue, red, yellow, and green, but I can't buy them anymore.Paper straws here comes in a lot of variety, white, brown, black, striped, dotted, all sorts of other patterns and...

@hikanu There are still a lot of plastic straws used where I live. I looked at some paper straws and they do still use the iconic stripes in some cases. I'd imagine with that the straworm would just evolve to remove the bendy gray patch, since paper straws don't have that.@isis Thank you for the...

It's simple. Effective. Perfect. β¨Straworm β¨ The name really speaks for itself. It's absolutely peak worm creature design. I love it so much!
hikanu • 2 February 2024 at 7:09 AM
This is so cute and silly. I want. πHow does it fare against paper straws? If it was to lie around and not be noticed as anything but a straw. Paper straws is about the only thing available these days.

@cryogenics I'm not planning to update it for a long time, but if I do I'll consider the change. Maybe I'll be better at drawing by then (probably not).
cryogenics • 2 February 2024 at 2:59 AM
@sulvas nice concept. could you take the ice cube egg further by adding the straw into the ice cube. to show there is 'something' lurking in there. could be a curled up silhouette.
sulvas • 1 February 2024 at 9:54 PM
@heatherm19 Thanks, fun fact: I was going to have it be one of those super bendy straws, but i lacked the artistic ability to do that.
heatherm19 • 1 February 2024 at 9:41 PM
@sulvas Awww I love that it's just chilling in a cup in the teen stage. I also like how the adult has a bit more curve to it's pose.
sulvas • 1 February 2024 at 9:17 PM
@provo7demons I think it'd wiggle in fear at the sight of you if it was mid egg-laying.@twinkle I'm sure the straworm would be surprised too in that situation. Thank you for the kind words.@dibabeebees Thank you for the compliments, might just be iconic at fast food places/amusement parks though...
dibabeebees • 1 February 2024 at 9:13 PM
perfect, amazing, beautiful, iconic
twinkle • 1 February 2024 at 9:12 PM
@sulvasAwww thatβs adorable! πΈ My sister would be surprised to see an ice cube in her soda bottle that conveniently hatches into a straw XD

Okie Dokie. I have compiled all the stats I've taken over the last year.Totals This is the total amounts for 363 days from 3rd Feb 2023 to 31st January 2024. I didn't take notes the first 2 days, but after seeing a bunch of "Is it worth it?" comments I started. Didn't intend to ta...

I've decided to try doing a creature suggestion. Here I present to you the straworm! It's a worm that looks like a straw. A very simple silly concept I know.Art: http://tinyurl.com/4ycctjkxAbout the Egg:The Straworm eggs mimic ice-cubes, so if the drink is discovered before they hatch, t...

Going to put a few statements I voiced in the Blog here too; for the sake of it.I totally get the want for Creature Suggestor's Suggestions to be close to their original concept; however. As an artist who does artwork for sites like Eggcave, I do have opinions on how hard people are press...

Thank you everyone for the feedback!! I enjoyed reading what you all have to say. πAnd yes, @matcha drew the last stage. ^^I'd like to reiterate why I strongly feel the last stage should be a completely blank and transparent image. If the final stage was instead half of a creature, and the o...

ida92 • 31 January 2024 at 3:02 AM
@anarchy I like deer-based creatures and this one is no exception. π Also, I think sakura flowers are beautiful and a deer+sakura make a great combination. π
ida92 • 31 January 2024 at 3:00 AM
@daisycat This is a great idea, I love the final stage. π But the art on baby and teen is great too!
kataclysm • 30 January 2024 at 7:57 AM
LOL I think this idea is fantastic. (': The notion of a creature disappearing in its final stage clearly hasn't been done before and definitely ticks the box for a unique concept. I'd love to see it come to life for April Fool's, or even just as a monthly LE. I feel like the AF creatures can be quit...

I LOVE THIS IDEA (and the art too π₯Ί), I think it's definitely SO PERFECT for april fools πalso, I'm just imagining all the things we could do with travels now that there's a completely transparent creature.....;w; IT WILL BE SO AMAZING!!! I HOPE THIS BECOMES A REAL E...

@daisycat @matchaWow, this is so creative!! π± I agree with Matcha, I'm not sure if Ian would ever allow a fully transparent creature (Ian, prove us wrong??), but it would actually be perfect for April Fool's!! & then this way, we could finally have a gallery to at least show off our pretty/rare...

thanks for the ping! it would be amazing if eggcave actually implemented this LOL people sleep on travel art too much π€π€
ceraphi • 28 January 2024 at 5:23 PM
@daisycat Such a clever way to have an invisible creature! I support this π (there are so many travels I love that get covered up by creatures)
jlya • 28 January 2024 at 5:05 PM
@daisycat @matchaThis is such a cool concept!! I do love the April Fools creature idea. I don't know what to do with that last stage but I also love it xD
