Haku found that to be a weak excuse, as not only were there very few items he could use on his journey, that wouldn't just slow him down, but most of the shops were closed.
Exasperated, he ducked in one of the few open one's without much hope. Unless he found something or came up with a good excuse he'd be going back empty-handed.
But then, why should she care? She wouldn't notice, right?

Cassandra went to the bedrooms, and knocked on Aubreys door.
"Everything alright? I haven't really seen you since the Trolls earlier. "

Aubrey smiled and nodded, "Yes I am, um, fine." She went back to her book and raised it up to Cassandra to see, "What do you make of this?" She asked. The page was filled with symbols of which Aubrey did not recognize.

[I am going to edit Aubrey's looks, she will still be pretty, I just see her looking different than earlier explained]

[That's fine 😋 ]

"Hmm...They look almost ancient." She said quietly, looking closer at the strange symbols. "I have seen symbols like these, only once before. There's an old man who runs an Apothecary in a place east of here. He had the same symbols in some books. He may be able to help."

[sleep is stupid, elves don't need sleep xD]

"We.. Should go," Aubrey was ill, since birth she was ill, it enabled her to do certain things. Mainly outside activities, fighting for her had even been a challenge too. Walking outside in the snow definitely was not a good idea but it seemed less important. "Right now. I don't want to wait," she added," You don't have to go but I want to know now."

Haku left the shop and stood outside, staring up at the cloudy sky from which tiny specks of snow drifted down. It was a mesmerizing infinity which Haku easily lost himself in. He loved snow more than anything else in the world. More than the red robin's birdsong or the dancing of flames under the stars. More than the feeling he got when he was by himself and could finally cut loose and run, run like he could run forever and he was alone, the only being in the universe, and all there was was him and the endless path, and the thrill of speed and the feel of the wind in his hair as he -ran.-
He thought about what those pitiful humans called running and snickered.

[We will NEVER sleeeeep. XD]

"We can leave tonight, but we'll need supplies. It's a treacherous journey to get there. It's three days by foot, about a day and a half by horse, But with the storm coming, the horses would not survive. We might want to consider asking one of the men to come along...It looks like one more fight, like we had with the trolls, will take everything out of you... "

"We should just start on our journey, otherwise we are going to get no where." She brushed her hair with a comb on the dresser,"Haku is getting supplies as we speak, but does he have to come?" She felt like a child asking such a question.

Cassandra smirked, she could see there was some tension involving her and Haku. "He doesn't have to I suppose, But we should find someone who can fight as well, if we want any chance of both of us surviving the trip. Tell you what, I'll go get supplies, and maybe another weapon or two. Pack everything you'll need, and I should be back within the hour. If we have found no one by then, we shall just leave."

Aubrey beamed, "Okay!" She gathered the book and her journal. She pictured Haku making it back to the inn to find everyone gone and him freaking out. "Deserves him."

"About three days East of here, and your welcome to come if you like." Cassandra replied, smiling as she secured her cloak.

Haku ending up falling asleep, and in a few minutes there was a fantastic ice sculpture in the center of the town, of a gigantic monsterous wolf, it's fangs longer than one of Haku's arms.

Stunned villagers were standing in clusters around the sculpture, staring in awe at it's glistening perfection.

Mystica tried to catch up with the parties ahead. They sure went fast. She privately muttered to herself, and swore that she would never sleep in again. She saw several of her comrades, scattered around, here and here, but the humanoid didn't know who to approach first. She tried to get the attention of a few of them "What's going on?" she asked, as loud as her quiet voice could possibly muster.

"I'll definitely come to get weapons," Cylan grinned. I have got to know where you ladies get those things and where on earth you keep them, he thought to himself. He flashed Cassandra a grin.

Cassandra grinned back opening the door, and getting met with the frosty, winter wind. She pulled her cloak tighter around her, and set off for the shops down the road.

Cylan nodded and followed after her, fastening his thick cloak tightly around his throat. He shuddered as the cold air enveloped him. He wasn't used to the cold, he had lived most of his life in a warm sunny place. He smiled a little bitterly as he realised that he couldn't really remember what the sun felt like on his skin. Pity. He should have paid more attention to the sensation when he'd lived in the sunny place, but like most people he had never really realised what he had until it was gone.
With a sigh he shook some of the mounting snow out of his feathery hair and pulled up his hood. Thankfully his cloak was lined with thick sheep's wool. He couldn't imagine how cold he would feel with anything thinner on. Realising Cassandra was already a bit in front of him, he hurried after her.

The snow swirled around in miniature mock tornadoes, sparkling in the light of the few, still lit torches. Cassandra huddled in the bit of warmth in her cloak. She had been traveling these lands for awhile, so she was used to the chill. Though she thoroughly disliked it. Where she had lived, where the Wood elves dwelt, was always cool weather. It was only ever Spring or Autumn. Never too hot, and never fiercely cold. Always perfect, and colorful. To a Wood Elf...winter was death. No life in the trees, no colors dancing in the sun, no embracing warmth. Just cold, white, nothing...And it was the nothing that made her so homesick. It was the silence of the snowfall that made her crave a sparrows song, the expansive white that made her long for the golden sunlight...

She slowed down a bit to let Cylan catch up to her. "You seem about as fond of the cold as I do." She noticed, laughing slightly. Her cheeks pinking from the weather.

"What fondness?" Cylan laughed as he caught up to her. He noticed the weapons shop [or is it a blacksmith?] ahead of them and smiled broadly. At least he would be out of the cold soon. "So what weapons are we planning on buying?"

She laughed at his sarcasm. "I think swords and bows would be the most effective. War-hammers and axes don't seem like they would work out to well, being as heavy as they are." She replied, glad to see the [weapon shop Or blacksmith ; either or 😋 ] was still open, and with a nice fire burning judging by the chimney.

[I think it would be a blacksmith, because they make and sell weapons 😊]
"Sounds good," He smiled, "I'm best with a bow, but I guess I'll have a sword too. What will you be getting? And what will we get the others?"

As he stepped inside the blacksmith's he smiled indulgently as the heat wrapped itself around him. Still smiling he removed his thick cloak and shook out the snow.

Cassandra removed her hood, breathing in the heat. "I'll be getting a bow as well, I'm rather good with one, And I need my sword sharpened, I'm best with a blade. I suppose swords and daggers for the others? Beginners with bows aren't exactly safe to be around..." she replied, looking at the various bows on the wall. Long bows, hunting bows...so many choices...

@smilies [lol, don't worry Haku will probably be saved from his ice-sculpture soon 😋]

Cylan nodded and turned his gaze to the bows on the wall. He already had a bow, but it was a bit worn and he wouldn't object to a new one. He spied a light but sturdy bow on the wall. It was designed to shoot light arrows quickly, which suited Cylan. Smiling, he ran his hands over it. It was exceptionally well crafted. "I'll think I'll have this one." He murmured.

Cassandra grabbed an Elven bow, resembling the kinds she had used in her homelands. She then went up to the blacksmith. "Can you sharpen this?" she asked, unsheathing a silver shortsword, that had what looked like willow treebranches etched down the blade, and golden silk around the handle. "Aye.." the smithy replied, nearly gawking at the sword. It was a sight to behold, and it rarely left Cassandras side. "Wonderful. Thank you. " she replied, with a smile, as she walked away to look for some daggers for the others.
