"This is my fault though, I have to fix it!" Aubrey stated as tears formed in her eyes.

She rushed upstairs before anyone could tell her otherwise, put on some knee highs, boots, mittens, and a coat.

"I can do this," she told them.

"Good idea," Cylan nodded at Cassandra. He fastened his cloak and opened the door to the inn. He shuddered at the cold, "Let's get going, we don't want to lose any possible tracks."

"Wait." She said to Cylan..."Aubrey...please listen. If you do this, then you will die. You look ready to drop as it is. What if he gets out of whatever situation he's in, and comes here to find no one to help him, because we all left to find him? I would rather you stay here, where you can still help, than you go outside where you can die." She tried explaining. "Let us try to find him first. If we find nothing, we will come get you...Fair enough?" She asked, hoping Aubrey would realize how dangerous to her health another trip outside would be...

Cassandra nodded, and smiled slightly. She walked out into the bonechilling wind. The snow crunched as she walked through it. Where ever the Canid was, she hoped he wasn't outside...She followed Cylan as they walked behind the Inn.

Audrey retreated back to her room, she didn't trust staying here alone and without her crew. The men were a ton of creeps and the innkeeper didn't really seem kind either.

"Time to take this into my own hands," she said as she opened her window in her room. The icy winds strung her hands but she was determined.

Just as she was stepping out onto the roof, the someone grabbed her wrist. She looked back to see the innkeeper, smiling deviously. "I am afraid I can't let you do that, miss." Aubrey shrieked and broke away, running out on the roof. She slid to the bottom where the singles were and could feel the edge of the roof with her toes. The keeper was quickly approaching her, ready to grab and imprison her.

Cylan frowned at Cassandra, "Did you hear that? It sounded like Aubrey."

Still frowning, he wandered over to the inn and stood underneath her window. As his gaze travelled upward, he saw that she was on the roof, being cornered by the Innkeeper. "Hey!" Cylan shouted, grabbing his attention. He jumped up and grabbed the windowsill, before swinging up to the roof. He was a very good climber. "Stay away from her," he cried, before punching the Innkeeper in the face, knocking him out cold.
"Are you alright?" he asked Aubrey.

Aubrey ran, she knew Cylan was going to make her go back in. She needed to do this, for herself. "I will be okay!" She told them as she ran off. She didn't want it to be this way, she didn't want them to notice her. She wanted to get the job done. She wished she could do her thing and they could focus on theirs'.

Cassandra had followed Cylan to Aubrey's window. Aubrey was so determined to help the Canid...'I guess no matter what we say, it's not going to stop her.' She thought to herself with a sigh, watching her run off.

Haku was panicking again. This thoughts weren't very intelligible as he was going at 100m/h, but they went something along the lines of:
How the freak did I turn into a freaking dog?
How the freak am I going to turn back?
What if I never turn back and am stuck as a freaking dog forever?
How the freak did I get here?
When he finally figured out how to use four legs (in a way) and he found the door locked: how the freak am I going to get OUT of here?
Another thought struck him: what is everyone else going to think? He didn't really care much for them, really, but... The princess...
But more importantly, HOW THE FREAK DID I TURN INTO A FREAKING DOG?

The guilt swept over Aubrey in waves. Pulsating, it was agonizing.

She found a trellis down the roof and carefully she climbed down the icy ladder. This inn used to seem comfy and cozy, but now it was terrorizing her. Every corner she turned there lie another monster.

She thought of ways to contract the Canid, she hated owing people things, but because she caused this she at least owed him a safe rescue.

Then she remembered an old trick in her village. If a child went missing everyone would whistle for them, going in different directions. The frequencies were more ear-catching than screaming. Maybe the same thing would work for the Canid boy she whistled; his dog ears would pick it up and maybe he would yell, whistle, or even bark back!

One thing at a time. Calm down, Haku thought. He sat down and scratched behind one ear with a back leg. Aah! He quickly stopped.
Then he heard a whistle. His ears pricked up, and his mind immediately turned to his... Well, not exactly friends?
But then, it was probably just some old lady looking for her cat. He sighed and rested his head on his paws.
And did he want them to find him like this?

Then he thought of being stuck in here until he starved and started howling.

Isaac joined in the search for Haku. "Wolfie....here, boy...I brought you some chick-en..." he heard some faint howls. "Is that him, or a stray dog?" Isaac thought for a second. He decided to go look for it just in case.

Cassandra heard howling in the distance. 'Surely it couldn't be the Canid boy, could it?' She thought to herself. 'He seemed more human than animal...I can't imagine him howling...'

A few moments, Aubrey waited. The thought hadn't even crossed her, but was she responsible for the death of the Canid?

Then, a singular howl in the wind drifted to ear ears; it was sharp and filled with despair.

"I am coming!" She yelled. A tree caught her coat and untangled it from her body. Then a rough patch of snow caught her boots in it, the only option was to run in her socks. Quickly she slipped off her boots and ran to the boy.

It was a sight to see; a girl running in a short nightgown and knee high socks.

All the sudden, everything was dizzy but warm. Not a good sign; it never was but she was almost to the source of the howl. Hopefully the others were fallowing.

For a minute or two Haku attacked the door but he soon gave up. What kind of dog was he, anyway? A dachshund? Cause that's what it freaking felt like. A soft whine escaped him and he scowled. Everything came out sounding WRONG.
He flicked his tail.
HE HAD A TAIL.
He stared at it. What was it FOR?
He started chasing it.

[XD He will be really annoyed when he finds out he's a Husky... PUPPY XD]

The Innkeeper made up his mind. "Stupid softie," he muttered too himself as he got a large cleaver from the kitchen.

[SCARY DUN DUN DUN! XD]

Aubrey found a small shack in all of the snow. She ran towards it, it had to be the source of the noise. She slammed up against the door, but it was locked. Finally she found a small key laying in the snow and fiddled with the lock until the door opened. It was utterly dark in there and she couldn't she anything.

Isaac saw Aubrey dash past in her nightgown and her socks. 'What is she doing...?' he wondered, and then followed after her to the shack. He saw Aubrey open the door and he decided to catch up before something bad happened.

Aubrey felt tingly all over. "Haku?" She said feebly,"Are you here?"

Things were now hazy and the storm was not about to give. She felt so alone in the shack even though Isaac was there. It was empty and it made her feel vulnerable.

"Um, why is he a dog? Thats not supposed to happen, I'm guessing." he muttered and shook his head. Isaac held out the chicken leg he had been carrying. "C'mere, I thought you might be hungry when we found you, so I brought you a snack." he coaxed, hoping this really was Haku and not some stray. Isaac remembered something else with a grin. "Oh, and the door is open, so if my stench gets too overwhelming you can leave, okay?" he teased.

"A dog?" She asked. But, then where was Haku? Aubrey turned to Isaac and smiled but the smile slowly turned into tears.

"At least we saved a dogs life, but... It is probably too late for Haku," She said tears forming in her eyes.

Haku turned his nose up at the chicken leg. Like Ew, the human had TOUCHED it. Dud humans have no sense of hygiene?

Their backs were turned. Now was the perfect warning for the Innkeeper to strike.

Haku's eyes grew wide and he let out a warning yelp.
