Cassandra and Cylan were nearly finished at the Blacksmiths, and soon it would be off to the general traders for food and clothing. The journey would be perilous indeed if they were not prepared for it, especially now that the weather was really setting in. Snow was piling up outside, making traveling potentially deadly, but making the scenery look as though frosted in diamonds.

[I'll be posting more once "Cylan" comes back on because we are still in the Blacksmiths XD]

Aubrey figured she would time lapse this whole love thing by going out to see if Cassandra had any results on what the book said. She wondered what the potion would do to him in an hour.

Aubrey grabbed her coat, she knew it was a terrible idea for her to go out but it seemed like she never traveled. Her village never let her up to now for fear she would be too weak.

She walked out into the crunchy show with her coat and sheepskin boots on. Her neck was adorned with a plaid scarf her mom had made for her before she died. Aubrey nose and cheeks soon became red and her nose became drippy. The snowflakes fell upon her eyelashes in the dark winter night, her only guides were the scarce light of the street lamps.

She was stunning, Haku found himself thinking. Wild. Beautiful. Her flowing raven black hair... Black? Haku frowned. He felt like he was missing something. He tilted his head to one side, curious. "Did you colour your hair?"

To keep herself company Aubrey started singing despite her weak state. Every step lingered on and on, painfully.

"I wish I could be.. Normal," she sauntered towards the city lights. She only hoped she could find Cassandra before she froze to death.

Cylan nodded uncertainly, "Sorry if that was too personal."

Together they went up an paid for their goods. Cylan was very pleased with his new bow and he also puchased a new quiver.

They left the store. "Where to now?" Cylan queried.

"It's alright." She smiled, wiping the stray tear away.

Cassandra sheathed her finely sharpened sword, and slung the pack of weapons over her shoulder.

"Well we need food and warm clothing. So, hopefully there is a general trader around here somewhere." She replied, walking through the ever increasing snow.

Aubrey's steps dragged, slowly. The sidewalk became steep and she fell. The snow flew up around her her breath let out a big puff of smoke.

Slowly she recovered from the fall, getting back up and spotting Cylan and Cassandra. "You know", she thought, "they would be good friends or even more."

She patted her mittens to get rid of extra snow. "Hey!" She called to them, "Wait up!"

Cassandra turned around to see who was calling out, it was Aubrey.

"Hey." She called, walking towards her. "What are you doing out here? It's freezing! We won't be much longer, Just getting the last of the supplies."

She was worried how badly the cold might effect Aubrey, She looked ill sometimes, and very tired. The biting cold certainly couldn't be helping any.

"Lover boy?" She asked laughing. She pulled out a handkerchief from her cloak, handing it to Aubrey.

"Who in the world are you talking about?" She giggled at the thought of some silly love struck boy traipsing around the Inn.

[I dunno... Oh, wait....]

Haku felt really sick so he excused himself and went to his room. He brushed some hair out of his eyes on the way and jumped back in shock, like he'd been burnt, which was pretty close to reality. Finding the bathroom, he pressed a damp cloth to his forehead and stared into the mirror. What was wrong with him? He could still smell that scent... Was it something in the drink? He swore he'd never drink that stuff again, although to be honest he didn't put much stock into swearing, and often broke them. It's promises he keeps.
The mirror rippled in waves like the ocean. He blinked rapidly and gripped the basin with his free hand to steady himself.

The man huddled in deep conversation with the innkeeper.
"What? She gave it to a Canine half breed? What do I pay you for?" He hissed.
The Innkeeper twiddled his thumbs nervously. "And um, that stuff was meant for use on elves, not humanoids... The side effects...." He gulped.
"Well, if he dies, it'll be on your land," the other man said nastily. "And you'll be the one facing an inquiry."

"Oh dear, Love potions are horrible things, haha." She laughed picturing the Canid swooning about. The snow was falling heavier by the second, more of the torches went out...Leaving the road dimly lit.
Cassandra snuggled into her cloak, trying to warm up. She looked at Aubrey who looked near frozen.

"You should get inside before you catch your death. You can come with us to get supplies, afterwards we should all eat something, and rest up. Navigation is much easier in the daylight. "

Cylan nodded in agreement with Cassandra. Aubrey was beginning to turn blue. "Let's buy some clothing first, Aubrey you look like you're going to freeze to death."

Audrey made an small whimper of an agreement noise as her teeth were now clattering. She walked steadily in front of Cassandra and Cylan not to let any hint of how bad her struggle was.

"Maybe...I should go back to the inn, I feel kinda guilty for giving him the potion," she blushed a bit but it was almost obsolete due to her cheeks being red of coldness, she did feel bad for him but truly she didn't want to get sick. She quickly walked back to the inn, trying to stay warm and avoid a cold.

She noticed the air feeling warmer even though snow was still falling. It was ovbiously a fever, and with it came dizziness. She opened the inn's door with weak, shaky hands.

Once she saw that Aubrey made it safely into the Inn, she turned to Cylan.

"We should hurry up and get the supplies before this storm gets any worse." She suggested, Her nose tingling from the cold.

Aubrey went to her room to take a bath, anything to warm her up. Walking by she noticed Haku's door open but didn't think much of it.
