For a worker, this place was pretty decent, Ray acknowledged, a little jealous. He bet she wouldn't need to replace the front door any time soon, at least. Darn, they even had cushions, he noticed, on entering. He sat down without a word, but never ceased fidgeting, apparently unable to digest the situation he'd got himself into. He paid little attention to the conversation.

Can we just go on with the story instead?XD

Looking around, it seemed that there were other people in the home. Frost answered the girl's question.

"Who am I? Well, that's a good question that I would like to answer myself. All I know is that I am a daughter to the allies of the Avengers, my parents were killed while helping, and I was abandoned at 5. I now roam the streets, knowing that I can't work in the factories. My name is Frost and I pretty much don't like Loki and her group. I have information on our uninvited guest too." Frost took a steady breath.

Frost looked around to see if Ray was still here. He was sitting nearby.

Margot sat quietly as she listened to the girl's story, her eyes falling shut eventually--not that she could have noticed through the goggles. It eventually occurred to Margot to take them off and allow her eyes to adjust to the darkness.

The girl's story wasn't an uncommon one, Margot reflected bitterly. Her eyes fell eventually on Ray, who had followed them in but hadn't spoken a peep. "You okay?" she asked with concern largely absent from her voice. It wasn't as if Ray was in any more trouble than the rest of them . . . and he hadn't been the one who'd electrocuted one of Loki's servants. It occurred to Margot that she ought to be far more alarmed about her future safety, but at the moment, she felt strangely calm.

"Let's hear it," she added, turning her head to glance at Frost once more. Anything they could get on that strange girl with the sword would be useful.

Frost was surprised. She didn't expect Margot to listen for so long.

"Well, for starters, you really shouldn't go back to work tomorrow. In fact, we should flee right away. That girl wasn't just any person. That's Loki's daughter, Sylvia. I know that because, well, you pick up a thing or two after roaming on the streets for so long."

Frost glanced wistfully at the food. "I heard that she may be coming to patrol in that part of the city, so I've haven't gone out to get food in days-until I saw you. You seem like one of those Avengers, but they don't exist anymore."

Frost looked at Ray, but he didn't respond.

Ray showed them his palms like a surrender gesture. "Yeah, and go where?" he shot the girl a curious look. Avengers...? He didn't understand, so he discarded it.
Frost may be used to roaming the streets or whatever, but he sure wasn't. Besides, if they had Chitauri on their tails Ray really didn't fancy their chances, at all. They may as well turn themselves in, for all the good it would do. Ray hadn't actually done any damage, and he now had time to think up a good story. Who knows, likely as not this Sylvia would be more reasonable in the sunlight... Or maybe not, if she was really Loki's daughter. He sighed, defeatist. He'd thought things were bad BEFORE. His life only seemed to get decline.

Frost coldly looked at Ray. She never had a fondness for boys. "Flee, of course. Not unless you're really thinking of turning yourself in, are you? Now that we bumped into Sylvia, no one is going to help or pity you. You can avoid that by escaping."

She looked back at Margot. "So, what do you say? Either we leave or I'll leave alone..but I think I rather have allies with me." she continued grudgingly.

Still shocked, Sylvia watched as the three people ran out of the alleyway. She sheathed the sword and made no attempt to follow, but instead watched from the entrance of the alley the way which they ran. She examined their clothing, hair, skin tone and occasionally faces when(if?) they turned aroun to look. "I'll get you three tommorow...", she said aloud. A crow cawed from it's perch on the edge of the ruined building.

The fact that Frost didn't actually address his question wasn't inspiring much confidence in Ray. He refrained from pointing this out and thought his options over once more. What really did he have to lose from trying to escape? Well... The torture would be a lot worse. Though, there was a chance that they might NOT be caught, before dying some other horrible death at least, and that option (probably) involves zilch torture. BUT that chance appeared so ridiculously slim... He was a fast runner, yes... But going on the run sounded like so much WORK. It would be easier, so much easier, to just give up... Yes, why not? Run away? The idea was ludicrous. They wouldn't last a day. Forget it!, Ray thought, suddenly angry.
"Maybe I am! Running away would just postpone the inevitable. And like banks, Loki charges a hell of a lot of interest," he sulked at the thought, then started for the door. "I've heard enough. If you've any sense, you'll hand yourself in, and maybe they'll let you off easy. Otherwise..." he left that to their imagination.

"Loki's daughter," Margot muttered under her breath. She shook her head, her expression one of quiet disbelief, though there was a kind of sad acceptance in her eyes. "I'll be damned." Then, Frost said something very odd, something that struck Margot with disproportionate significance--that she'd looked like an Avenger out there, prowling around the city. The corners of her eyes tightened as she examined the girl anew, wondering exactly what she had in mind for them.

"Give me a minute to think," she murmured after a moment, shifting so that her elbows rested on the table and her hands clasped in front of her face, obscuring her eyes. She didn't see Ray stand up, although she could certainly hear him.

Running away would postpone their capture, and potentially make their sentence far worse. However, Margot noted, throwing in the towel would also serve to postpone a certain inevitable fact. "Loki's not going to last forever," she whispered, the realization suddenly dawning on her.

They were one city out of many--it didn't matter whether they were in Loki's backyard or on the other end of the planet. A great volume of people were ready for change . . . herself included. "Loki's not going to last forever," she repeated with strength, facing Ray as she rose from her seat. "I need ten minutes to get some stuff, then we're out of here," she added hastily in Frost's direction.

"And you are?" Ray muttered under his breath, as he stepped outside into the cool night air. Empires had lasted thousands of years before, after all. This Sylvia would probably take Loki's place after he died... Besides, Loki was so powerful, he wasn't likely to croak for a long time. Ray didn't care much about change if he was going to be ancient when it happened. He scuffed his foot against the pavement. No point going home, and he'd broken the curfew so badly it wouldn't really make a difference if he trod on the pieces and said goodbye up the lousy city. He couldn't help but fell GLAD he wouldn't have to suffer through another day of that horrible work. He idly wondered what Mel must feel like, neither of them coming home... Or maybe Sam did find his way back. He liked to think so, that maybe at least they were alright.

She was quite sure that there were thousand, if not millions, of more important things that she could have been doing at this very moment. Despite the conveniency of living a normal life (the norms of life nowadays were quite twisted so she didn't exactly know what normal meant), there she was, standing in the middle of an abandoned street and recieving punches and kicks.

She'd underestimated the guy, she noted herself. He was far more powerful than she'd been informed. His stamina was amazing, the speed with which he did his moves and the ferociety of his punches... It was a challange to fight against a pro like that, but she didn't so much as smirk while his attacks rained on her.

His extended leg and the upcoming kick to her chest was successfully blocked while, on her own turn, she aimed a fist to his face. The jaw of this man was strong and probably an incorrect hit would hurt her hand, but her attack was well planned and she soon heard the crunch announce the breaking of his jaw and nose. The unsuspected move startled the man and he stumbled back clumsily. The audience (the other fighters and an array of passer-bys) was surprised as well, seeing as for the past few minutes, she'd been the one beaten by the man. Of course, she'd been successfully faking being hurt and now that her opponent had let down his guard, she attacked full on.

His distraction eased her task greatly because by the time he'd realised what was happening, he was already on the ground. Scrambling up, he made a fairly pathetic attempt to regain his dignity and sloppily swatted at her. She leaned left, avoiding the fist, which went over her shoulder and took a hold of the man's arm, holding him down while an array of punches poured down on his face, chest and also every bit of unbruised flesh. Despite being battered and blood-caked, the man continued standing and even attacked her again. His dizziness soon vanished and he regained part of his stamina, managing to block some of her kicks and punches.

His fist was once again blocked and a few kicks to his stomach answered. She dipped low to avoid the elbow aimed at her face and highered herself to knee his stomach again. Her stamina was monstrosous, her moves were well planned, she seemed to be using so little energy and made such simple attacks, but she overpowered one of the pros of the fighting guild.

The man was already half conscious, she could tell by his darkened vision and the swaying in his posture. Deciding to finish things quickly, quicky used his distraction to punch him in the stomach again. All her ttacks aimed at his abdomen must've tired him to the limit because the man tumbled down to his knees, clutching his middle.

With a smirk she approached him, making sure to glance sideways at the other fighters of the guild and throw them a victorious smile.
"Hey." she called out to the man and waited until he had looked up. She spun around, swinging her hard leather boot in his direction and aiming at his face. The shoe connected sharply with his already broken facial parts and further shattered his nose and jaw. His head snapped back from the intensity of the hit and, after he half-consciously glanced at her blurred figure, tumbled down on the ground, face first.

She finally calmed herself down, easing the adrenaline that pumped in her veins and slowed her breathing. Her chest wheezed every now and then, hence the few broken ribs that she had.

A look to her left and she caught a glance of the snarling expressions of the other fighers of the guild and one particularly large buff man, who was already readying himself to attack. They were all ready to pounce. However, they all calmed down after a second and backed off as a tall, black-haired man came forward and scolded them quickly.

She didn't miss the chance to devilishly smirk at him either and, with one last glance at the crowd, limped away and out of the street.

Ambling aimlessly down a random street, Ray chanced upon some kind of commotion. This early in the morning? he wondered, and went in for a closer look. Some kind of streetfight. Ray watched in awe as the girl who couldn't be much older than himself dealt some serious blows then finally fell the older, powerful and much larger man, whose injuries made hers look like fairydust. Now, if he could do karate like that, then maybe he'd think twice about giving himself in. Of course, getting that good would have taken dedication and a lot of practice, making it unachievable for someone like Ray... "That was some fight," he observed to no one in particular as the victor made her way past him.

With a loud sigh, she headed back out into the street, this time into the direction of the other side of the city. She walked slowly, with careful footsteps, as if she were afraid the electric shock would come back. Suddenly, she tilted her head to one side and stopped. Somewhere nearby, she heard the faint sound of applause, and a few short cheers.

Sylvia quickened her pace, and headed towards the noise. Soon, she arrived at the edge of a street. She stood in the middle of the road, leaning on the sword that she un-sheathed and pulled out moments before. Watching the fight carefully, withought a blinking eye, she waited for the small crowd to notice her.

Now would be a good time to call some chitauri as back-up, but again she remembered that they were busy tonight. As she came back to the real world, ignoring any stray thoughts, she trained her eyes on the fight occuring. She was slightly surprised at who seemed to be winning. A girl was kicking and throwing merciless punches in the direction of a man. Her movements were timed perfectly, and were quick and she had a lot of strength.

Finally, the girl won after the man fell down and was knocked out by a quick kick to the head. Sylvia continued to lean on the sword, watching what would happen next after the girl won. She got a series of applause and turned to leave. {Humans were such interesting creatures... } Sylvia thought to herself.

A mere moment later after she'd exited the street, she caught a glimpse of two figures, that were unconveniently blurred, hence the black spots in her vision. She let ot a tired sigh. She had no desire to deal with more people since she'd definitelly had her share of commotion for today. She felt warm liqiud fill her mouth and leaned down, pulling her hair from her face and spat blood onto the ground.

She must've looked pityfully, with her busted and bloodied nose and uncannilly twisted (and probably broken) arm. The wheezing in her chest didn't help her condition either.

"Who are you and why are you here?" she asked tiredly.

Suddenly, Sylvia twisted around to see..

Ray was it? The annoying little human she had almost strangled. A short chortle escaped her lips at that thought. She shifted her weight back on the ground and picked the her weapon up. Sylvia turned back around to face the girl as she limped towards her in a voice that was the very definition of tired.

Sylvia's response was just as cold as hers was tired.

"May I ask you the same thing?"

Oooh crud. Ray instantly paled at the sight of the girl from the alleyway, whom he recognized in a flash. But he wasn't going to run... That wouldn't do him any good. Besides, maybe he was right about that morning theory, because she hadn't tried to kill him yet... Though she clearly hadn't got any sleep, which really should only make a person more irritable. Well, she appeared to be more interested in the streetfighter, which was just fine by him. He may as well hang around, as he was interested in her story too.

A smirk was firmly plastered to her face, although the exression wasn't mocking, but rather sarcastic and synical. She let out a ragged chuckle, her voice hoarse.
"Me?" she asked innocently. "Oh, I'm just a street fighter. No more, no less. If you got some trouble with me then go talk to these guys. Get in line with the people who want to f*cking kill me." she said quietly, more to herself than to the girl and righted herself, glancing sideways to the visibly scared boy. She raised an eyebrow. He was sheet white and seemed to be looking warily at the girl.

A couple of people from the crowd was turning and watching them. "My dear...."

"You should know well enough that no one is allowed out in the streets until after the sun has risen." She said sweetly. "Last time I checked, if anyone was caught out at a time like this, were sentenced to death."

"But I thought it would be best tovlet the crowd go, considering how without workers, everything around here would be so much more difficult." A short pause, and the narrowing of eyes.

"I'm willing to settle with you instead."

Sylvia held the handle of her thin sword in one hand and had the blade of it on the palm of the other. She narrowed her eyes at the girl that won the filthy street fight.

A smile settled on her face and she raised an eyebrow at the girl with the strengely twisted scepter.
"And what are you? The bad cop who's gonna catch me?"she let out a chuckle. "Well, good luck with that princess."
And with that, she darted back into the street where she'd fought, passing the guild of the fighters. She saluted them mockingly and ran into the first alley she saw, which happened to be exactly the alley that led to the park. She smirked to herself, urging herself to run even faster.

She was a good hundred meters away from the girl, there was no way she could be caught now.

Sylvia was about to start to chase after her, but with a slight smirk remembered her teleportation abilities. She recognized the alleyway that the fighter was running through led to the park. "That's all I need to know...", she whispered.

In a moment, Sylvia was gone. All that was left was a small dark gray haze where she had once stood. She reappeared around the corner where the girl would arrive shortly.

Ray watched the fighter dash off, leaving them in the dust. He couldn't decide whether he wanted Sylvia to give chase or not. It was like asking someone whether they'd rather get their life over and done with or not. It was HARD.
He could of course, easily catch up with the streetfighter, if je ran. Maybe it would get him brownie points or something with Sylvia. But he couldn't be bothered.
Then Sylvia suddenly vanished into thin air and you know what? He found he COULD be bothered. He ran after the streetfighter, wondering what the heck had just happened.

That reminds me of how a guy once teleportated and came out of the same door five times without going back XD

She looked over her shoulder to glance at the girl and smirk at her but she was nowhere in sight. Ruturning her gaze back to the path, she was met with Sylvia! The girl was standing right in front of her.
"Augh!" she suqeaked, stapping back quickly and looked at the girl with surprise. She hadn't predicted that, she definitelly had never seen a person with teleportating abilities.

"What the heck are you?" she asked in surprise.

She heard a set of feet running towards them both and guessed it was the boy from earlier. She didn't even bother to look at him, since she knew all too well that she shouldn't turn her back to the girl.
