"Ehhh...?" he deadpanned. Having managed to slowly back himself into a corner (while Aizel swore such that a sailor may flinch to hear, let alone the delicate ears of poor little Sunshine), Ray had been quietly praying his existence might slip her mind; unfortunately, his luck soon ran dry. On her accusation, his simple exclamation pretty much covered it. It was his fault? How had she worked that one out?? "What did I do?" he protested, sounding tired and looking somewhat sulky. He had just missed out on what could have been an entertaining show, after all; what a disappointment! That mystery-girl, enigma, she had definitely piqued Ray's interest all right. He was dying to find out more on the bewildering events which had just transpired...His gaze was drawn back to the spot. Aizel had said she had missed, but he knew his eyes hadn't lied; the pinkhaired, plushie-girl had definitely been hit. And he also happened to know that it shouldn't have been humanly possible to make the jump she'd executed directly afterwards, even without carrying Angel's deadweight, let alone with some kind of bulletproof armor? (And there HAD been a wound). All in all, it made no sense whatsoever; he was stumped.Although; hadn't he, numerous times, heard some of Margot's group babbling something about, "powers"? If so, this mystery-girl had them in spades.

@asi Oh, by the way, I forgot to say - Ray is a Pervert XDDD jk. At least he's not into Aizel, right?"You interrupted." she stated flatly, now sounding deadly serious for a change. "Before the girl came, I was about to shoot her and you interrupted." she reffered to the tme where Angel had been in her aim and the boy had halted her for some reason. Despite having a grudge on Pinkie too, Aizel had raged because of the enemy they'd lost - if nothing Angel could have been a wonderous information source. Rightening herself in a standing position, she bent down, gathering the twin guns from the ground and defeatedly tucking them under her shirt again. Her temples still stung, but taken she'd bshed her head into a brick wall with full force... well, that wasn't painless in all means. In the end, she had a permanent headache, an unexistant dignity and one boy Sunshine that she wanted to gruesomely murder... What a day!She drew in a sigh of exaperation, wiping the red liqiud for her forehead and turning to face Ray, blank expression plastered on her face. "Move." she deadpanned, mirroring Ray. "We have places to go" Mentally, she added 'incomplete mission' to the gloriously filed events of today.

@jupiter_hollowHuh? Well, *shrugs* he is a guy X3 I'm a bit confused on the definition, but I think it means all of the male gender 😸"Oh," was the only suitable response Ray could find, after several minutes of fishing. They were still meant to distract the Chitauri, weren't they? ... Great. Ray started to wish he'd ran off after that enigma girl or something, anything more appealing than working (now alone, not in his contract) with Aizel against a couple hundred ugly slobbering metal monsters. In fact, now that he was at Stark's Tower, Ray saw little reason to stick with his orders; he'd stand a much better chance trying to sneak up undetected, confident he could make his way up without disturbing so much as a discarded sock... Yet Aizel would probably thrash him within an inch of his life at the first hint of such a suggestion... And it would be... Awkward, having the girl accompany him...From the start, he'd intended to explore the tower alone.Nervous of any unknown mind-reading abilities she may have, he started off in the direction of the skyscraper, basically paranoid of Aizel and with his legs feeling like jelly..Could he... Give her the slip?Honestly, Ray didn't know what to do, only his moral code wasn't being very vocal.Turning a corner, he sighted a Chitauri patrol. Taking cover in the shadows of a wall, and not sparing a moment's hesitation, Ray flashed past them in an instant, his speed allowing him to pass unseen. He waited for Aizel to follow.

Aykay looked at the machines above her and the fire below her. She didn't know where she should run. Fear clouded her judgement and all logical thought seemed to have switched off.She looked fearfully at Pyra and frost, who both seemed annoyed that she wasn't making a move. She had no idea where Fang was.-She'll get you... the machine master will get you...- said the voice.@bunnyshadow@leafpelt@meixiaotian
meixiaotian • 9 October 2012 at 8:18 AM
Pyra snarled. Her thoughts raced in fear. What was wrong with her?! Tiger-girl all big and powerful wasn't even doing anything! Okay, maybe that was an over-reaction. Still! Any second the chitauri would fire. Or get reinforcements. She nudged Frost."Get them," she said quietly. She didn't have time to explain why Akyay had panicked-Was panicking and freezing. She didn't know herself and WHY ON EARTH WASN'T SHE MOVING?! Her brown hair turned back to the ravaging fire. Oh yeah... There was that too. Wait-how did it follow them up the steps? She ran backwards, closest to the fire. The least she could do would be to try to shield them from it. Wow, it smelled foul...
bunnyshadow • 12 October 2012 at 10:08 PM
@asi~~~Angel took silent steps towards Kitty, then sat down besides the pink haired girl, that was currently stretching. "I'm okay." she said. "Thank you for saving me." Angel added, this time so soft you could barely hear it. She turned to look at Kitty, her eyes filled with what seemed to be sadness, maybe even regret.
asi • 12 October 2012 at 10:24 PM
@Bunnyshadow Lalalalaa~ /braindeadKitty nodded once, her eyes not leaving the other girl's. She didn't particularly like the look in them; what was it? Honestly, she wasn't too good with human emotion. Actually, she'd never been very good with feelings, period.Brushing her discomfort out of her mind, she then opened her mouth and recited a phrase which could floor anyone who'd ever watched/read half as much bad alien fiction as Ray had; "Take me to your leader." She said-no, demanded- it so seriously, too.
bunnyshadow • 12 October 2012 at 10:41 PM
@asi Angel- D:~~~Angel took a breath in at the thought of the pink haired girl's request. -Take me to your leader?- she wondered to herself incredulously. -It would have been funny if this was a film, but....- Angel shook her head. "No. His majesty would kill both of us."
asi • 12 October 2012 at 10:58 PM
@bunnyshadowOh, yes? How very.... Hospitable. West allowed herself a small smile on her usually stoic face, before continuing; "I'm prepared to take full responsibility," she intoned, not particularly in the mood for slamming anyone through walls today. That got tiresome pretty quickly, she found, but so far, it had been fairy effective on humans. While less hot on emotions, she'd become adept at uncoding their gibbering answers.West wasn't sure exactly who this girl worked for. But it sounded plausible. His majesty...? Her lip curled noticeably at the audacity of the title.
bunnyshadow • 12 October 2012 at 11:06 PM
@asi That post made me giggle like crazy. xD Post on the discussion board 😋~~~Angel was ready to say no once again, but stopped herself. The girl was willing to take full responsibility... -Maybe if I bring this girl to him, he'll forgive me for failing.- she thought. "Fine." Angel said after a moment's hesitation.
asi • 12 October 2012 at 11:28 PM
@Bunnyshadow"Fine," she echoed indifferently, then gave a haughty gesture for the other to lead her... Wherever. It couldn't be within walking distance, could it? Considering the reverence with which the girl referred to her boss, West expected a more elegant solution. She waited with a hint of impatience expressed only by a slight crease of a frown.
bunnyshadow • 12 October 2012 at 11:32 PM
@asi~~~Angel bit her bottom lip. "We're on a roof." she said. "I can't... jump down like you can." Angel added.
asi • 13 October 2012 at 12:06 AM
@bunnyshadow>>>West, who had been standing and staring (whoever said Asgardians can't multitask?) blankly at the girl, her expression clearly reading; 'does not compute', and thoughts such as, 'are all "his majesty"'s servants so incompetent? Or is it humans in general?', running through her mind, suddenly lurched forward, falling to her knees and gripping the ridge of the roof with both hands (she let go of Muu, the cat plushie, who slid down to her knees). A sharp pain in her head, her world went dizzy, West choked, coughed, made a unpleasant sound like a cat hacking up a hairball- recovered slowly. She breathed heavily for a few minutes- the strange attack of sickness obviously tired her out unnaturally- before her brain cleared enough to ascertain that it was merely the aftereffects, not her previous illness making a real comeback. She was alright, fine...West stood up again, pretending to brush herself down as though nothing had happened, though she couldn't hide the shakiness in the movement. D- she stopped herself from cursing internally. C- confound it...Her mood somewhat soured, she picked Angel up again (and Muu too) like she was only a paperweight and jumped smoothly down from the building, dropping the human unceremoniously as soon as it was unnecessary to retain the contact. Seriously, who was the one who'd been shot earlier?
bunnyshadow • 13 October 2012 at 12:14 AM
@asi~~~Angel watched as the girl lurched forward, and began to make noises that sounded alike to a cat hacking up a hairball. She had remembered from years ago a cat that had stumbled by and made the same noise. Angel raised an eyebrow when the pink haired girl simply stood up when her seizure(or whatever it was) was over, and pretended that nothing unusual had happened. Once the girl and herself had touched down on the ground, Angel looked around silently, examining her surroundings. Then, she began to head off in one direction, at a brisk pace.~~~ONE DIRECTION.
asi • 13 October 2012 at 12:54 AM
@BunnyshadowInwardly miffed (that she had to walk) yet curious (how close was her boss? And who were they?), outwardly impassive to the extent of resembling a brick wall, she followed the girl, wordlessly. As they walked, West allowed her eyes to lose focus and glaze over, as she thought of other things. Things she missed from home, mainly. Her huge plushie collection, most predominately. But West wasn't those people who cared much for their surroundings; it wasn't where you went, it was who you went there with that mattered. Preferably plushies. And then there was the reason she was here on Earth... Evidently West DID like companions; she just had difficulty finding good ones.
bunnyshadow • 15 October 2012 at 10:28 PM
@asi This Ones' A Lazy Post 😋~~~After what seemed to be eternity, Angel stopped. They were almost there. "We're close." Angel said. Right now, they were nearby the slaving grounds. There were a few cries in the distance, and the sounds of a lashing whip. She continued walking. Before long, they had arrived at the part of the city of which the emperor's followers lived. They passed large, clean houses with perfectly groomed lawns. Angel stopped at least a couple of houses away from the large palace that was the emperor's home. "Here." she said, nodding towards it.
asi • 16 October 2012 at 12:30 AM
By the time they FINALLY arrived, West's feet ACHED, and for the last twenty minutes of the journey she had only distracted herself from her discomfort by wondering what you'd have to do to get a good foot massage in this country. The truth was, gigantic clunkly space boots weren't great for long distances. Luckily it was evening and rather cool out, or no doubt she'd have come down with one of her dizzy spells. Along the way, she had paid very little attention to the scenery, although she did notice that the air smelled a little... Less polluted? That was good, those factory fumes had nearly suffocated West the first time she'd approached them.As for their destination, mm, it was nothing special considering what West had seen before, but... She supposed, this being Midgard, it was something. She pondered about how they were meant to enter. This person sounded- and looked- like they had a pretty big ego, and it probably wasn't a great idea to offend them by just barging in. "You will announce me?" West questioned her guide.
bunnyshadow • 16 October 2012 at 12:47 AM
@asi~~~Angel shifted uncomfortably, constantly switching her gaze from Kitty to the palace. "Probably not." she said awkwardly. Angel really wasn't looking forward to meeting the emperor, especially since she had failed the mission. "I'm sure you can announce yourself."
skylark • 21 October 2012 at 4:03 PM
@silver_wingedAaron squeezed though the small opening and tried to drop down. Instead, he kinda slid down, his belly blubber catching on the smooth sides of the metal ventilation. Halfway down, he stopped sliding. Starting to panic, he kicked feet and almost cried out Margot's name before he remembered that would be a bad idea. Sighing deflatedly, he tried to think of a way to get down. Snapping his fingers in an epiphany as his face lit up, he drew all the air out of his lungs, effectly shrinking his to cage sigfincantly. He dropped down quickly with a half-crash, a small dent where his left foot took most of the landing. As he saw Margot shush him with a glare and drop into a seemingly empty room, he crawled towards the opening. A squeaky noise resounded through the entire vent as his exposed skin rubbed the metal. Silently cursing himself, he stretched his shirt over his hips and waited quietly for Margot's signal.
asi • 21 October 2012 at 4:32 PM
West sniffed. "Very well," she nodded once before setting off at a brisk stride (one that should have been impressive and confident, had she been taller. On West, it merely looked cute) towards the palace. It was obvious that this girl had no knowledge of the formalities of the higher circles. Did this mean that this leader, despite his title, had done away with them, or was it just that this girl was too lowly? No matter. She knocked very loudly on the door, with unnecessary force.
bunnyshadow • 21 October 2012 at 9:38 PM
@asi @skylark Aaron you fatty. XD~~~Angel shifted uncomfortably as she watched Kitty walk up and knock on the door. She let out an exasperated breath before chasing after Kitty. Once she was besides Kitty, Angel began to notice how unnecessarily loud she was knocking.
dada_dragon • 23 October 2012 at 12:02 AM
A servant heard the knocking and hurried over to the window in hopes that it was not some rebel group, but no. It was Miss Angel... and a strange girl that she did not recognize...She hurried over to the door and opened it, bowing low at the two visitors."Miss Angel." She said quietly. "I was not aware that Master Loki was expecting any guests today... Was this visit arranged prior?"@asi@bunnyshadow
bunnyshadow • 23 October 2012 at 12:22 AM
@dada_dragon@asi~~~"Unfortunately not. I've brought someone that hopes to meet Emperor Loki. Is he present?" Angel glanced over at Kitty, then at the bowing servant as she waited for an answer.
dada_dragon • 23 October 2012 at 12:33 AM
The girl hesitated."He is indeed in today, but if I may be so bold to speak..." she eyed Angel's companion uneasily. "It might not be wise to visit him today without appointment... he seems... preoccupied..."She looked up at the two of them nervously. Loki took out his foul moods on those slaves nearest him and she certainly did not want to have to announce two unexpected guests...@asi@bunnyshadow
asi • 23 October 2012 at 1:03 AM
West gagged for the second time that day, but for a completely different reason. Loki, did that slave girl just say Loki?! Truly?! Well, West had thought about it, but... She really had been expecting it to be some conceited, egotistic slob of a human. Was it really allowed to be so easy? He'd up and vanished, only to end up... Here? This was a little bit of an anitclimax. The hunt was the best part, after all. Besides, it wouldn't be so good if she skewered the wrong person, especially one with so much power and presumably secruity (if she would just take a look at her surroundings? Ah, no). Yes, that would not be ideal. Better to make sure...Aah, perhaps Loki wasn't an uncommon name? She wasn't sure if she could believe Loki was HERE yet. Or maybe they had said, "Lowe", "Louie", or even, "Luke". Humans and their accents. "You say... Loki...?" she inquired to Angel. "You did not mention a name before."
bunnyshadow • 23 October 2012 at 1:28 AM
@dada_dragon @asi ~~~"I didn't feel the need to." Angel said turning away from the servant entirely. She examined Kitty's face. "Do you..." she trailed off, then decided it could be a possibility. "Know him?"
asi • 23 October 2012 at 1:42 AM
"Hehehe," she hid a smile behind one paw, her eyes sparkling, but West did not answer. "In any case," she quickly returned to her normal blankness and the topic, "I do not merely hope to see him- so if you would be so obliging?" there was a trace of warning in there, but West was careful to not sound threatening. She was well aware a prison cell would not be good for her health, no matter how short the stay. She looked expectantly at slave girl. One thing that immensely irritated West was those of lower rank who were TALLER than her. That was, of course, most people. However, she did control a subtle hint of arrogance and superiority in her air, unneeded considering her usual aloofness.
dada_dragon • 23 October 2012 at 12:59 PM
The girl bowed, shaking. She did not wish to deliver this message to Master Loki, especially as this girl seemed so... hostile almost. But it was her duty and she'd be punished if she didn't oblige, so either way...She walked slowly up the stairs, dreading his reaction. As she approached his door, she hesitated before knocking and entering."Master Loki, Miss Angel is here with a ..." she hesitated. "With a guest..."@asi@bunnyshadow@skylark
skylark • 26 October 2012 at 10:04 PM
@dada_dragon @asi @bunnyshadowLoki looked up from his throne from whatever it was that emperors do. "And? Are you just going to let them.. dwindle around? Catch a view? Perhaps scout out sniper locations? Therefore, threaten MY life?" He pointed to himself at this, and sighed deflatedly as he rubbed his temple. "Guards, bring in our.. UNexpected guests." he added crisply, and glared at the servant girl. "I'll deal with you personally.." his eyes narrowed, "but later." Loki looked back down at his work.@bunnyshadowAndrew sneezed, waking himself up. "Oh, geez.." he rubbed the sleep out of his eyes. The ship was powering down, and Andrew could see that they just landed on the Stark Tower. He saw Sylvia nearby, but he couldn't tell if she was awake in the darkness.
dada_dragon • 26 October 2012 at 10:17 PM
The girl bowed low, shaking. She had no control over her life anymore. It really was just a matter of time...She walked over to a corner of the room and waited for him to be done with the visitors."Master Loki, would you like me to get you anything?" she asked, knowing this would not spare her punishment, but it was her job, after all. And it would distract her from what was to come...@skylark@asi@bunnyshadow
