Aykay adjusted her earpiece. It had come loose after transforming so much... she had to get ahold of Margot. She didn't want to admit it, but she had no idea what to do next. She pushed the button on the side to speak."Margot?" She said. "This place is on fire. We're on the floor just below the main level. How is it going up there?"@silver_winged@meixiaotian@leafpelt@bunnyshadow@skylark

Never had Ray wished to have a gun in his hands. Though he didn't say it out loud, he harbored a deep dislike for the weapons which could slay so easily from a distance, and that Chitauri so often wielded against him. Having been shot more than his fair share of times, he knew all to well the pain they caused when they didn't take the life, and the damage, often permanent; among the slaves he had encountered numerous people who had been maimed and crippled by Chitauri guns. At least, it seemed to Ray, when he fought close-up, hand-to-hand, his opponent had a fighting chance. He'd thought of guns as almost dirty and dishonorable.Honor?Still, he couldn't help but respect them now that they were on his side; or rather, working with him. They were darned useful. Ray cast Aizel an admiring look. Where had she got them, anyway? Loki kept a tight grip on his weapons, one reason why Ray had never stolen any. The other being, well, he didn't like them.Honor.Was this really his side? Would Ray continue as a rebel after this? It was really a question of honor. Before, he had dismissed honor as immaterial. It was funny that now he had the chance to follow in Stark's footsteps and join these new, "Avengers", who would fight for, "freedom and justice", or whatever it was, and do what was, "right"... Now that he started caring about his HONOR.He waited silently. This was a pretty bad time for philosophy.But... Weren't the Avengers also fighting for honor? So what, he was fighting for honor, and in doing so had none? Ah, this was so screwed up. He wasn't even sure if he knew what the word meant, darn it all. What did Ray want, yeah? He quickly searched himself, and decided; what he wanted was to help the people, the slaves, who were living in crappy conditions under Loki's tyranny. And get himself some good quality coffee. So there you have it, he thought to himself, steeling his resolve and focusing again on the situation at hand.

@silver_winged @bunnyshadowAaron dazedly sat up, his head to his shiny forehead which was covered in beads of sweat. A extremely loud crash and a bright flash of sudden daylight blinded Aaron, and he covered his eyes with his arm. The metal-clad figure who made the hole kept going through each floor, but there was a dark-haired girl who still lingered after the metal figure. "What the crap?!?!" Aaron shouted- but it was just as useful as shouting in a howling blizzard. There were extremely loud artillery bangs that probably came from the metal figure, and the loud crashing of buildings crumbling on top of itself as the metal figure made hole after hole. Aaron, without thinking, grabbed Margot and flung to the nearest cover- a trapdoor that had sprung open in the breaking of the ceiling. They landed on some stiff cushions and were immediately plunged into darkness as the trapdoor closed behind them. Seemingly frozen in time, Aaron listened quietly for any giveaway sounds of the dark-haired girl. He was still holding Margot while on his back, as they had landed that way. After some debris tinkered down- surprisingly loudly- the room above them was dead quiet... other then the obvious and distant crashing below them that faded away as the metal-clad finally stopped.

@skylark @asi @dada_dragon @silver_winged~~~Sylvia scanned the room as Andrew continued blasting his way through the building. She almost winced every time she heard a smash as he broke through the floors. Did he not realize he was ruining the building?Sylvia was about to continue on her way, when she heard the whisper of a voice. She was about to shrug it off, when she decided to better not. What had happened the last time she had done that? She was about to call out to Andrew to stop, but decided better not to give away that she was still lurking in the room. Sylvia took quiet, slow footsteps around the room, her green eyes glaring into anything that could have hidden someone. She looked behind a fallen couch, and almost hissed aloud when she saw nothing.Sylvia continued her examination, stepping over the trap-door that had been there only a few moments before.

Aykay checked the earpiece for damage. There didn't appear to be any, so maybe there had just been a glitch or she hadn't pushed hard enough on the button or Margot wasn't wearing her earpiece... In any case, it was worth another shot."Margot, we're just below the main level. We've successfully set fire to most of the basement levels." she said into the earpiece. "Did you find anything up there?"@silver_winged @skylark @bunnyshadow @leafpelt @meixiaotian

@asi Rubbing the trigger impatiently, Aizel jittered from her place under the stairs, waiting for more Chitauri to emerge from the partial veil of dust and smoke that still spread over the room. One big bunch of sillhouettes was gathered in front of the entrance, either trying to find the source of intrusion or busy in examining the alarm system. One or two monsters waggled around the hall, shoveling about the piles of garbage around, but came off as fruitless too, when they didn't find anything. And all this time, nobody had bothered to notice the buff chitauri laying dead in the very middle, an obvious pool of black blood under it.She sighed -her doubts had finally been justified- Chitauri really didn't have a brain... Heh. At least it was the only explanation that would simplify why the body had been passed a few times, without anyone seeming to give a crud about it. It was interesting to watch, of course - a few dozen metallic half robots wandering around like headless chicken. However, she doubted the lack of a mind caused this, Chituari were intelligent... usually. Maybe the smoke had disorientated them. Aizel noted that down mentally. That would definitelly come in handy in case of any future encounters with the fugly things. She was still delighting in the view, when a startling buzz rang out along the lenghty hall. Glancing up, she noticed the ceiling tremble before raining a few layers of chipped paint over everything. The walls were slightly shaking too. It sounded like a machine of some sort was rumbling in the higher levels of the building. The entire confusion seemed to make Aizel snap out of any musings and set to work. She used the Chitauri's lack of orientation to her advantage and crawled from under the staircase. Noone seemed to acknowledge her so she tip-toed over to the fallen Chitauri, stripping it of any useful belongings. She stole it's weapon- one of the large electric 'staffs' and a small round device she detached from the creature's chest. It didn't seem valuable, but she kept it anyhow.Leaving the body and crouch-running the distance to Ray, she only glanced at him as to fling the staff his way - she hoped he had good reflexes. Least he could do was make himself useful. This time she went on without glaring and instead, kept a stone face. Feigning ignorance to the trembling walls around, Aizel was set to shoot again, littering bullet boxers on the ground. One Chitauri down.Two...Four...How many had they been?

@skylark @bunnyshadow @dada_dragon Just as she was about to dive away, something caught Margot around her waist. Her breath caught in her throat before she could even scream. She wriggled to turn around, ready to punch and bite and elbow her way out, before she realized it was only Aaron. She got the barest glimpse of his face before the two of them fell into a dark pit in the floor. She winced as the two of them hit the floor of the shelter. Aaron was beneath her, so he took the brunt of the fall; she couldn't help but feel thankful that they hadn't landed the other way. Up above them, small tapping sounds echoed from the girl's heeled boots. She was moving around slowly, most likely looking for them.Margot remained as still as she possibly could, and shallowed out her breathing to reduce its noisiness. She kept her eyes open to allow them to adjust to the darkness. In the sparse light coming down through the hinge of the trap door she could just see the outline of Aaron's face. It suddenly occurred to her that he still had his arms wrapped firmly around her waist, and she could feel the warmth of his breath on her neck. She suppressed the urge to roll her eyes. Hopefully he wouldn't get any ideas. This wasn't the first time she had found herself in the arms of a boy under the cover of dark, but she certainly had not visualized its reoccurrence this way. This boy was no Rob, that was for sure."Margot," a voice rang out, "we're just below the main level." It was coming from her earpiece, she realized, and quickly pressed her hands over her ears to muffle the sound. Aykay's message continued, and Margot had to resist the urge to hiss at her to be quiet. She could only hope the headphones weren't so loud as to attract Sylvia's attention . . .

@silver_winged @jupiter_hollow @skylark~~~When Sylvia had circled the room once more, she stomped her foot and snarled. Little did she know she was right on top of the trap-door once again. She was more than a little mad that she had found no one, and stood and breathed for a few seconds before deciding to continue on.She was about to head down after Andrew, when she saw slight disturbances in the air. They were much like heat-waves, and she narrowed her eyes in response. They seemed to have been coming from below ground. The waves arched towards a spot in the ground, close to the couch.Sylvia tilted her head to the side, obviously curious. Hesitantly, she walked towards the target location. She stepped forward, putting her heel down first, slowly and quietly, but still surely. Sylvia knelt down on the ground, and put her head close to the floor, ear facing the ground.Faintly, she heard a voice.

Luckily, Ray had excellent reflexes and caught the random stick thing, because Aizel's aim was a little too accurate and it would have brained him.Five seconds later, when he realized what it was, Ray struggled with the urge not to drop the thing then and there. A Chitauri weapon. One part of Ray was disgusted by the thing, and himself for still holding it, but he didn't want Aizel to know that. Another part of him almost, well, liked it. He didn't want to think about THAT.He remembered Margot using something similar against the first Chitauri horde they had encountered. Quickly he located the trigger mechanism and, closing his eyes, he fired. With a few rapid strikes he eliminated the rest of the Chitauri. Aim, was, after all, judgment and maths, so his was perfect.Ray then flashed over to the stairs using his incredible speed. He didn't bother waiting to see if Aizel was following before climbing onto the next level of the tower.

@bunnyshadow @skylarkMargot held her breath, listening closely for the sound of footsteps above her. They tapped around the room, ceased for a moment, and then suddenly grew closer. The light filtering in through the trapdoor's hinge winked out. Sylvia was right on top of them.Cold panic began to creep its way down Margot's spine. Sylvia had vowed to kill her should they ever meet again, and right now, a thin panel of stone and wood was all that separated them. "Think," she urged herself mentally, her open eyes flitting around to examine the pitch darkness. "THINK!"She couldn't distract Sylvia; making noise would only get them caught. What about jumping out as soon as the door opened? No, Margot realized, waiting to be found was not a wise idea. What if Sylvia decided she didn't need an interrogation? She could easily flip open the trapdoor and open fire. Game over, just like that."There has to be a way out of this," she thought miserably. As quietly as she could, she flipped herself over to face upward. If she was going to go down, she would at least go down honorably; maybe she could act as a shield to Aaron. Poor kid didn't deserve to die this way. Then, again, neither did she.The thought hit her suddenly, and her eyes widened. Sylvia was right on top of the trap door--what if they could open it first and throw her? It was gutsy, to say the least, and there was no guarantee it would work. However, it was better than waiting to die. She shifted so that her feet were pressed firmly against the trap door, and her legs were bent as much as possible. She sucked in a deep breath, clenched her teeth, and then slammed her legs outward like a jumping frog.
bunnyshadow • 23 November 2012 at 2:03 AM
@silver_winged @skylark~~~Sylvia stood and moved partway off the trap door. She crossed her arms and glared at the ground, as if deciding whether to open it(somehow) or just wait outside for them to come out. The Asgardian did have eternity. Just as she uncrossed her arms, the door was pushed open. Letting out a high-pitched yelp, she stumbled backwards. She lost her balance, and almost fell over. Luckily, the couch was close enough so she could put an elbow on it and straighten herself.Sylvia scowled, and turned towards the hole in the stone floor. In the same motion, she pulled her sword from it's sheath, and took steps towards the open door, biding her time.
silver_winged • 23 November 2012 at 3:07 PM
@bunnyshadow @skylarkAs soon as the door was open, Margot lunged onto her feet. The light stabbed at her eyes, so she tore her goggles over her face to provide some shielding. There was a ladder built into the wall leading up to the opening, and she dove toward it, flipping the switches on her electric gloves. She had been able to shock Sylvia the first time--in a fight like this, it was better to stick with what she knew would work. Before she even had her head above the gap, she shouted out to Jarvis, "LIGHTS OFF!" The computer didn't bother to ask questions. Every light in the apartment winked out simultaneously, while all the blinds drew shut. Margot activated her heat vision goggles using one of her knuckles, careful not to accidentally touch her face. She had done that once, and her pride had hurt nearly as much rest of her.She quickly located Sylvia in the dark; she was standing next to the trap door, with a long, cold object in her hand. A weapon, Margot figured; she skirted around it with light footsteps and rushed toward Sylvia with outstretched hands. She was about to find out just how good demigod hearing was.
dada_dragon • 23 November 2012 at 4:09 PM
Aykay began to panic. Had something happened to Margot? What was going on up there? She'd been under the impression that the top level was the least of their concerns..."Margot, are you there?" she asked, trying to not let the panic show in her voice. She looked up at Pyra and Frost, giving them a look that indicated that something was not right. "Margot, we're almost at the main level... I..."She heard a loud metallic crashing noise above them, growing louder and louder. Something was doing massive amounts of damage to the building and seemed to be getting closer somehow.Whatever it was, it was powerful, and it was probably not on their side...-The metal man.- said the voice coyly. The voice startled her at first, as it had been silent for so long, but her initial shock vanished immediately when the significance of the words hit her.She remembered him... He was the machine master's companion... The one with the metal body... She knew he was powerful from the stories the other prisoners told, but she'd never seen him fight... Whenever she saw him, he remained silent, and yet still managed to fill every prisoner with fear...But worst of all, if he was here... there was no denying it...She lowered her hand from the device, shaking."She's here." she said, her voice unsteady.@leafpelt @meixiaotian @bunnyshadow @silver_winged @skylark
bunnyshadow • 23 November 2012 at 4:39 PM
@silver_winged @dada_dragon~~~Sylvia had had just enough time to comprehend the words, when the room sank into darkness. Her eyes adjusted quickly, and she could barely make out the silhouette of the human in front of her. It was a female. Why would she want all the lights off? Sylvia knew that the human eyesight was terrible in the dark, and that some where even afraid of it.Maybe this one had something that helped her. Possibly something the Midgardians called night-vision something-or-other? She'll just have to fight assuming the girl did. More importantly, how was she able to have all the lights flicker off with only a command? It couldn't possibly have been the girl herself, because she had said it aloud, and it sounded a bit more like an order. All that occurred to her in a fraction of a second. Her thoughts came to an abrupt halt, when she could here the barest noise of footsteps. The human was no longer still, and had begun to rush towards her. The midgardian didn't seem to have weapons of any sort, but still seemed to have decided to attack. Sylvia decided to take the safest route. Defense, instead of offense. She would tire the human out. When the mortal was close enough, she ducked and slipped sideways, holding the sword out in front of her, ready to slash off the human's hands had she decide to attack again.
silver_winged • 23 November 2012 at 7:26 PM
@bunnyshadow @skylark @dada_dragonMargot scowled as Sylvia sidestepped her attack. She barreled forward, still off-balance from her lunge, before he caught herself against the tipped couch. That girl was fast, she thought to herself, whirling to face Sylvia yet again. The demigod had her sword held out in front of her defensively; it would be difficult to draw close. The dark had to have disadvantaged her at least slightly, Margot thought. Otherwise, Sylvia would most likely have gone on the offensive. Margot would work with what she was given. As quickly as she could, she darted around Sylvia. With swift jabs she kicked fallen objects, sending them skittering across the floor and hurtling into the walls. At one point, she must have caught some glassware, because it resulted in a loud smash. Under the cover of chaotic noise, she searched for something that could deflect that damned sword of Sylvia's."Margot, are you there?" Aykay's voice came up again. "Yes," she urged mentally, "just stop talking!" Margot could only be thankful that it was too loud in the room for the transmission to be heard. Then she laid eyes on the free-standing fireplace. There was a sturdy-looking poker on a rack next to it, about as long as Sylvia's sword. She couldn't be sure it would hold, but it was worth a try. She grabbed the poker from the rack and then kicked the rest of the fire instruments over. They clanged loudly as the hit the stone ground, rolling around and smashing into each other.
bunnyshadow • 23 November 2012 at 7:57 PM
@silver_winged~~~Sylvia stepped back from the fallen objects. She smirked at the human. What was she doing? The human couldn't stop her forever. The demi-god jabbed her sword down on the ground, staring towards where the loudest of the noises were coming from. The midgardian wasn't stupid, the items dulled her hearing significantly. Suddenly, the loud clanging of metal hitting stone ground caught her attention. She looked towards the source, and spotted the silhouette. The human was now holding a long metal rod."You can't possibly think you could beat me with that." Sylvia said coolly. "Your only human." she said with a laugh.
silver_winged • 23 November 2012 at 9:47 PM
@bunnyshadowMargot gritted her teeth, unwilling to let the demigod's words get to her. She held the poker out in front of her like a sword. Sylvia didn't have to know that she had never fenced in her life. In fact, the thought occurred to her, there were plenty of things Sylvia didn't have to know."I'm afraid you're sorely mistaken!" she replied, using the grandest voice she could manage. "I beat you using naught but my bare hands whence we met upon the streets, and better-armed am I now!" She took a few steps forward, swinging the poker threateningly. "I am Wednesday, daughter of the mighty ruler Thor!"Wednesday, she would admit, was not her best imagined name. She could vaguely recall that the days of the week were of Norse origin--Thursday was Thor's day, for example. It was the most Norse thing she could come up with under the current situation, and she'd stand by it."Approach if you dare, daughter of Loki!" she announced. "Mine people of Asgard know your father is naught but a cowardly snake, and so you should be too!" Taunting her might not have been the wisest decision, Margot realized shortly after the words came out of her mouth. However, it had seemed appropriately Thor-y at the time, judging simply from her parents' stories.
bunnyshadow • 23 November 2012 at 10:45 PM
@silver_winged ~~~"One of Thor's?" she asked incredulously. Impossible. Her eyes narrowed and she laughed aloud. "Do not joke with me." she said menacingly. "If you truely are his daughter, might I ask why I have never heard of you, nor seen you before the last fight?"The demi-god refused to be angered by the person's words. She bore nothing of resemblence to Thor, nor did she wear clothing that stood for him. Sylvia knew the girl was lieing. She had to be lieing. "And if, my father is such a coward to those of Asgard, then then they know nothing. The last I heard, the asgardians did not care for anything my father did."
silver_winged • 23 November 2012 at 11:10 PM
@bunnyshadow Sylvia didn't seem to be buying it. However, Margot was not one to give up so quickly."Why so thick and slow, serpent-girl? Wouldst you or your father know of me, surely you would have sought my death! Instead I remained hidden until I had the power to resist Loki's tyrant rule. My father may be banished," she said, pointing her "sword" toward Sylvia, "but I am not."The Aesir cared not of Loki 'til he made effort to usurp their Lord King! Thence he fled, hid behind a borrowed army, and wrongfully enslaved the Midgard. Still in this realm, he hides! Like a coward! Like a weasel!" She strutted forward faster now, attempting to project otherworldly confidence. "Remember you not my lightning touch? Doubt not my message! The emissary of Thor has been sent, and Midgard's avengeance is on the horizon!"Thoroughly aware that she was now making up words, she slashed forward with her fireplace poker.
bunnyshadow • 24 November 2012 at 1:47 AM
@silver_winged~~~"Are you ready to prove it?" Sylvia asked, simply. She was still completely sure that the girl was bluffing, though there was the tiniest of doubts in her mind. Her explanation made perfect sense. The demi-god stood her ground, even as Margot walked towards her. The lightning in her touch could have been an simple power, much like the girl from a while ago that could shape-shift into a striped creature. She picked up the sword, but not quick enough. Sylvia seemed to have been caught off guard, just as the maybe-not-human slashed at her. The fireplace poker cut her, creating a long gash from her shoulder, all the way to her waist. Dark blood quickly seeped from the wound, and her hand loosed on her grip of the sword. The sword clattered onto the ground with a loud clang, and he demi-god fell to the floor with it in a loud thump. She opened her mouth, as if to scream, but no noise came out.
dada_dragon • 24 November 2012 at 2:28 PM
Aykay dropped the transmitter. Her hands were shaking so badly that she lost her grip. She quickly scrambled to pick it up and shakily put it back on her ear."We... we need to get out of the tower..." she said, at the same time wondering how that would even be possible. "It was foolish to come here... The machine master and the metal man are here... they... They are more than any of us can handle..."The machines were one thing... She could handle a small group of those with no problem. But those two... The machine master was the emperor's own daughter... and the metal man was powerful enough that he fought alongside her..."We need to get out..."@leafpelt@meixiaotian@bunnyshadow@skylark@silver_winged
silver_winged • 24 November 2012 at 7:42 PM
@bunnyshadow"As ready as the oak is tall!" Margot replied, just as she slashed with the makeshift sword. The attack worked even better than she had anticipated; rather than just forcing her to back away, the rod struck Sylvia from shoulder to waist and even knocked her down. The demigod's sword fell to the floor with a series of metallic clangs, and Margot hastily kicked it away. She sword went skittering across the apartment, burying itself behind the kitchen bar."Too easy," she thought to herself with a smirk."See now, traitor's spawn," she declared, approaching once more with the rod trained toward Sylvia's neck. "The righteous need not jest." The smile began to fade off her face as she heard Aykay continue. The tiger-morph had begun to assume the worst. She flicked the transmitter on with her knuckle, trying to pass it off like she was pushing her hair behind her ears. In the dark, it would be near impossible to tell otherwise. "Run away you need not," she said, suddenly all too conscious of how ridiculous she sounded. "Still tall I do stand, and much do you and I have left to do."
bunnyshadow • 24 November 2012 at 7:52 PM
@silver_winged ~~~Sylvia glared up at Margot, black fury in her eyes. She reached up and grabbed the rod. The demi-god seemed to try to snap it in half, but her arm fell to the ground with a muffled thump, her strength having failed her. She watched with narrowed eyes as the girl pushed her hair behind her ear with what Sylvia took as a taunt."Whoever said I were to run?" she retorted, but softly, and with a slight wince.-I felt bad so I added to the post. xD
silver_winged • 24 November 2012 at 8:25 PM
@bunnyshadow Margot silently clenched her teeth as Sylvia grabbed at the fireplace rod. With tight knuckles she gripped it soundly, mentally willing it to hold. When the demigod dropped her arm, she let the tip of the rod hover above the girl's neck. Thank goodness for wrought iron, she thought to herself."Running is what cowards do, and of coward's blood you are," she replied, thinking that she should have turned the transmitter off. however, trying to do so now would just look awkward. "Now, the Avengers of old remain in this building, do they not?"
bunnyshadow • 24 November 2012 at 9:30 PM
@silver_winged~~~Sylvia laughed coldly, the empty room echoing the sound. She pushed herself up into a sitting position, ignoring the rod completely. "Why don't you try to kill me?" she asked, ignoring Margot's questions completely, while looking down at the gash. The demi-god looked at it for a second, before running her hand down it. Wherever her fingers touched, the wound closed, and in the end, she looked as she was before the fight had ever began.
silver_winged • 24 November 2012 at 9:35 PM
@bunnyshadow Short post . . .-"You cannot question the dead," Margot replied succinctly, staring daggers down at Sylvia. The girl was able to heal wounds, just like Aaron. That was not optimal."I have allowed a reprieve from your pain, so now answer me you must. They still live here, do they not?"
bunnyshadow • 24 November 2012 at 9:41 PM
@silver_winged~~~"Do you truly believe that I could die by your hands? Much less die at all?" She asked, her lips forming an amused smile. Sylvia stood and brushed herself off. "I suppose that would be a fair deal." she said. "If only you were not the one that had caused the pain."
leafpelt • 24 November 2012 at 9:45 PM
@dada_dragon @meixiaotianFrost had started to recover from the smoke. She coughed once and said frostily, (Ha. XD Get it? Frostily?-Nevermind.) "As much as I want to leave this forsaken place, shouldn't we at least find Margot? If they are here, that means they might have already found the others. Besides, can you really leave them? I-When we find them, we'll be glad." She avoided Akyay's and Pyra's gaze and stared at the ground and had almost said the possible. Her voice grew raspy from talking and the smoke."If we leave them now, they'll probably kill us later, and I still want to to live." Secretly, she really didn't care if that Fang lived or died. She HATED his existence, his guts, and the next time she saw him, she'd slash him until he was minced meat...
dada_dragon • 24 November 2012 at 10:01 PM
Aykay was relieved to hear Margot's voice. So she was alive. This, however, did not lessen the fear she felt knowing that somewhere in this building was the Machine Master...She turned to Frost."Margot is at the top of this tower..." she said, still shakily. "How could we even get close... This was... It wasn't worth this... We'll all be caught..."She felt pathetic. She was being childish, but she didn't care. This place had haunted her in her nightmares ever since she escaped. Why had she even agreed to come?@silver_winged@bunnyshadow@leafpelt@meixiaotian
silver_winged • 25 November 2012 at 4:15 PM
@bunnyshadow @dada_dragon"Please Aykay," Margot thought to herself self-consciously, "never mention any of this again." The microphone would most likely remain on for the rest of the fight."Surely you jest! I unseamed you from nave to shoulder using only a fire tool, and paralyzed you using naught but my hands! I have the power to bring you great pain, a power no mere mortal could wield." She held Sylvia's eye contact fiercely, and stood her ground, despite every sensible part of her screaming for her to run. "And might I remind you, daughter of Loki, that even great Lord Odin fell, and thy blood is not so pure as his. Death stands before you, and it seeks answers. Tell me, else I smite you now: where are they?"
