@silver_winged ~~~"You did not best me with a tool like that." she said. "Do you belive it would be that easy to defeat me?" Sylvia tilted her head to the side, searching Margot's face for an expression. "What if this isn't me? What if this was an simple spell of illusion to distract you while my allies go and kill your friends?" The demigod stepped forward until she was only inches aeay from the girl. After a few seconds, she spoke."Your thoughts tell me that you wish to run. A daughter of Thor would never have thoughts like those. This is all an act, much like I suspected." Sylvia paused, letting the words sink in, the corners of her lips tilting up in the amused smile that was there before."Are you afraid?"-Not one of my best replies xD
silver_winged • 25 November 2012 at 5:17 PM
@bunnyshadow Margot stared straight ahead as the demigod continued. She bit down hard with her teeth to keep her mouth from trembling, though the strain showed in her jaw. Her shoulders began to twitch as Sylvia advanced, but she still refused to flee.If this thing was indeed an illusion, Margot had been wholly duped. The shame dawned on her slowly; she could have been wasting her time tussling with a trick of light and sound while the real Sylvia raced downstairs to catch up with Stripes, Aizel, and even Ray . . . everyone she had dragged into this mess.Of course she wanted to run, she thought miserably. Who could have known that Sylvia read thoughts? Who could have hoped to stand up to a sword-wielding demigod in a Chitauri hive with nothing but a fireplace poker and a poorly-developed story?Margot felt tears sting at the corners of her eyes. Even as a child playing cards, she had always hated losing. And she hadn't quite lost yet."Courage," she snarled, drawing in close, "is not the absence of fear." There was barely an inch between their two noses. "Courage is not ignorance or foolishness. Courage is doing what you have to do, even when you're afraid." Her voice had dropped nearly to a whisper. "Especially when you're afraid."Turning on a dime, she grabbed at Sylvia's face with her hands.

@silver_winged & @bunnyshadowAaron had no option but to left go of Margot's waist when she kicked open the trapdoor. Light flooded the small trap area, but only for a few seconds.. enough to get a visual. As the darkness surrounded them again, the trapdoor closed behind Margot. As the girls fought- or, rather, taunted each other- Aaron was quickly making his way to what he thought was another opening to the room above his head. As he got closer, a faint blue glow emitted from the secret room. Aaron's knees were skinned and his hands raw, but that didn't deter him from his mission of satisfying his curiosity.
bunnyshadow • 25 November 2012 at 6:51 PM
@silver_winged @skylark ~~~As Margot grabbed Sylvia's face with her hands, the illusion dissolved with a dark chuckle. Nothing was left of the demi-god that had once been standing there. The sword, and blood have disappeared as well.In reality, Sylvia had been following Andrew as he exploded his way through the building. She was moving slowly, taking slow breathes. Along with keeping up with Andrew, she had been concentrating on keeping the illusion with Margot from fading.
silver_winged • 25 November 2012 at 7:30 PM
@bunnyshadow @dada_dragon @skylarkMargot's hands passed through Sylvia's face as if it were smoke. The demigod dissolved, daring to chuckle as she did so. Nothing, not even the blood or the sword, was left.In tortured rage, Margot screamed an obscenity into the now-empty room. Not only had that been a massive waste of time and nerves, but Sylvia was still loose somewhere else. "Lights on," she growled, and Jarvis flooded the apartment with light once again. She stood there for a moment more, allowing her eyes to adjust. Her chest rose and fell heavily, and she clenched and unclenched her fists as she tried to get a hold of herself. What was their next move?"Aykay," she said, trying not to continue shouting. It occurred to her that the tiger-morph would have heard her little outburst. Oops. "Everything is fine on the top floor." The tone of her voice suggested exactly the opposite. "Your team has a new objective: move into the prison and start breaking people out. We need all the backup we can get. I'm going to stay up here and investigate; if I find anything, I'll keep you updated." With that, she switched the transmitter off.Now to regroup with Aaron, she thought to herself, flicking off her electric gloves. She went back to the trap door and flipped it open, only to find that the boy had disappeared. "Oh, for the love of God," she muttered to herself, staring down into the shadowy pit. Where the hell could he have gone?Reluctantly she dropped down into the trick room and took a look around. This room was larger than she had originally anticipated, though it didn't leave many places to go. She followed the line of the room until she could hear sounds in front of her. "Aaron?" she asked. "Where is this?" She couldn't help herself from sounding testy.
dada_dragon • 25 November 2012 at 7:51 PM
Aykay heard margot's outburst, then her slightly more calm instructions."Understood," she said into the transmitter. She turned to the others. "We have a new objective. We are breaking prisoners out of the prison..."She was a little more calm now that she had relatively clear instructions. There was, however, the fear of the machine master and her companion..."We could be facing something worse than the machines up there..." she continued. "The Machine Master is somewhere up there, as is one of Loki's strongest allies..."She realized that the only reason she knew this was from the voice, which she would rather not explain to the others. It would be a little unusual saying that the voice in her head told her so...@meixiaotian @leafpelt @bunnyshadow @silver_winged

@silver_winged @bunnyshadowAs Aaron kept going, the blue glow was growing brighter and bluer. A split second later, he screamed as he fell 25 feet into a large and very cleverly concealed metal room. The scream resounded throughout the entire building through the ventilator shaft, sounding like an estranged bunch of ghosts. @asiLoki glanced at West as she made her overly-dramatic entrance. As she talked, he sipped his wine. When she finally finished, Loki folded his hands and looked at her with an raised eyebrow.
silver_winged • 25 November 2012 at 9:05 PM
@skylark Margot didn't receive an answer. Instead, Aaron continued on ahead. She stayed patiently behind him, barely detecting a glow of blue light from in front of them. She raised her eyebrows, intrigued, and suddenly Aaron disappeared with a loud scream.Margot stopped cold, arcing her neck to look forward. Their tunnel had dropped off suddenly and dumped Aaron twenty-some feet down into a hidden room. Carefully, she pulled her body out of the tunnel feet first, and made a steady landing."What on earth is this place?" she whispered to herself, looking around. She had expected Stark to have some private work rooms, but this was the last thing she had thought they might find.
asi • 25 November 2012 at 9:29 PM
@skylark @dada_dragon @bunnyshadowWhen there was no reply forthcoming, West resumed her full height (which wasn't much) and looked at him. Slowly, she too folded her hands and mimicked his expression perfectly, as if to say, "don't look at me, look at you". She then allowed her eyes to roam meaningfully around the room. If that hadn't just been begging for her over-dramatics, she didn't know what did.
skylark • 25 November 2012 at 9:44 PM
@asi @bunnyshadow @dada_dragonLoki chuckled, and waved a hand to a seat. "Please sit, before you become an impersonating jester." His mood changed considerably as he offered West some cheese and wine. @silver_wingedAaron groaned, massaging his broken back. As he healed himself, he sat up. "Whoa, what room is this..?" The blue glow was a large computer screen. As Aaron sat in the chair that was in front of it, he quickly typed something on the shiny keyboard. The whole 20-something foot wall lit up with multiple computer screens, and the entire room was bathed in a blue-whitish glow. All the screens connect together to show 'ENTER PASSWORD'. "Oh shoot.." He looked at Margot, who had followed him.
silver_winged • 25 November 2012 at 9:51 PM
@skylark"Wow," Margot mouthed silently, giving the room a sweeping glance. It was massive and empty, with sterile metal floors. Covering the walls were countless large computer screens, all glowing bluish-white. She watched as Aaron sat himself at what appeared to be the main hub.The big display of screens prompted them for a password. Margot's shoulders fell--of course it wasn't going to be that easy. Had she known Stark well enough, she could have made a guess, but all she had heard were stories."Jarvis?" she asked, staring up at the ceiling. "Any idea on what the password might be?"The computer was silent for a moment, as if he was thinking. "I'm not able to access that information," he replied finally. Margot let out a deflated sigh. "However," he continued, "try typing Pepper Potts. That's P-E-P-P-E-R P-O-T-T-S."Margot raised an eyebrow and gestured for Aaron to try it.

Kita wasn't sure what to think. This girl exuded confidence and arrogance. Usually, those who visited the emperor were fearful or at the very least intimidated... this girl was either deluded or...Or perhaps she was strong enough to not have to fear him... but that seemed inconceivable....@skylark@asi@bunnyshadow
bunnyshadow • 25 November 2012 at 10:17 PM
@asi @skylark~~~Angel had remained quiet throughout the entire conversation, lurking somewhere near the back of the room. She looked at a servant girl that was also in the room, and prayed to god(no-pun intended xD) that the emperor won't blow a fuse at how the pink haired girl was talking to him.

Aaron's eyebrows were burrowed together in doubt, "How do we know it's not another atomic bomb?" Suddenly feeling that Margot will backhand him, Aaron quickly typed in 'PEPPERPOTTS'. 'PROCESSING...' appeared on the multiple screens as the computers hummed. @silver_winged
asi • 25 November 2012 at 10:33 PM
@SkylarkWest smiled slightly in return; for West, what you'd call a "happy" smile; then did as suggested and sat down. She eyed the so-called "cheese" somewhat suspiciously; it wasn't something she'd encountered before, but she took some and nibbled on the corner, and decided she liked it. The alcohol, however, she lightly declined, bashfully claiming that she was "still too young".For a few more seconds she slowly chewed on the cheese, then said, "So this is Earth..." she murmured, glancing around. She wondered, for a several moments, why he had chosen to come here. West's gaze returned to Loki. She then took some more cheese.
silver_winged • 25 November 2012 at 11:29 PM
@skylark"What do you mean 'another'?" Margot asked, but quickly Aaron typed in the phrase. The computer screen paused for a moment, and she stared hard at it, as if her willpower could legitimately change the outcome of the situation."PROCESSING..." the screen changed to read."Yes!" Margot cheered, looking back up at the ceiling. "Good guessing, Jarvis!""Thank you," the computer said. The realization that she didn't have to look up to speak with Jarvis tugged at the back of Margot's mind. After a moment, the screens changed again, but this time they all showed something different. It took Margot a minute to realize what she was seeing. There were countless different views displayed on the screens. Some of them showed Chitauri patrols rushing around. A big section toward the bottom showed nothing but black. A screen toward the top showed the main room of Stark's apartment, with the tipped couch and the open trap door. Margot's mouth fell open."It's a surveillance feed," she murmured incredulously. "We can see the whole tower from here."
dada_dragon • 26 November 2012 at 1:52 PM
Aykay turned to the other two."I suppose we should go up then. The main level is next. After that, we start getting into the prison levels." she shuddered involuntarily. She didn't want to even go there. "The lower levels are just normal human beings, mostly just people who fought with bricks and whatever spraypaint is left in the world. The levels above that are the rebels who caused a little more of a scene... fires, riots... all that kind of thing. The upper levels.." she hesitated. "There weren't that many people up there... but that's where anyone with any sort of powers was kept... I was on the lowest of those levels when I was here, so I don't know how powerful those on the top level are..."How had she managed to escape this place the first time? It had been nerve-wracking, that was for sure... but looking back, it seemed too easy... But then again, she wasn't exactly a priority prisoner...She transformed into her tiger form before she could change her mind and headed up the stairs, knowing Pyra and Frost would follow. As long as they could avoid Sylvia and her companion, she would be fine...@leafpelt@meixiaotian@bunnyshadow@skylark

The blast of eletric sparks passed right next to Aizel, sweeping her along for a second. Nearly all of the standing chitauri were melted off or conveniently blown away from the shot's intensity. Aizel herself was caught by surprise in mid shoot as well and a few of her bullets were directed accidentally at the ceiling when she stumbled forward. Absorbing the shock quickly, she spun to face Ray... or rather where Ray was /supposed/ to be standing. The boy already rushed up the stairs to the next level. For a while, Aizel stared after him with a raised eyebrow -- clear disbelief. He was bailing again. AGAIN! He'd gotten them in enough trouble. First coming across the Chitauri, nearly getting them killed by Angel (yes, she had to admit it was partially her faul too but...), then this, setting off the alarm. He rushed himself and her into danger without giving it a second though, then always ended up slipping away to once again wreak havoc. And now, for probably the fourth consecutive time that day he seemed to run forward head first. Annnnd Aizel had to follow after the kid. Yeah, they were a team. Such a team... Psh.The 'shocked' expression melted from her face and she snarled furiously. Her eyes were flickering red - she saw crimson flash in front of her vision as her feet raced up the set of creaking stairs, chasing after the boy. He didn't go far before a steaming hand grasped his shoulder and spun him around to face her."What are you?!?! Suicidal!?" she hissed in his face quietly, tugging him aside as to not be standing directly on the stairway. The pull might've been a tad bit too sharp than expected but she couldn't care less -- a bruised arm was what he deserved..."What, you think you can just run around like a hero?" her voice had calmed down drastically, toning down to a mockingly questioning drone. "Stop prancing around like a princess and disappearing every chance you get! Because like it or not, we're stuck together and you're pissing me off with your constant stunts. You get us in trouble, then you run off randomly. And then there is more trouble... You want to get yourself killed or something?" her last question was suggestive and for some reason, her tone fit with her curren position - holding the guns tightly in her grasp. She watched him expectantly, as if waiting for a positive answer... And even despite everything, she didn't seem angry, nor annoyed. Instead her expression was tauntingly cold and nonchalant.

"Oww..." Ray yanked his arm free and rubbed the sore spot while he waited patiently for Aizel to finish her lecture. Mmn, being told off like this made Ray feel seriously nostalgic; she sounded so much like his sweet adoptive mother. He looked up once she seemed to have stopped. "Oh, you're done?" he questioned. "Good, because I scouted this floor and it's Chitauri-free; they must have all came down thanks to the alarm. But there are definitely going to be more on the higher levels... I think we should start setting the prisoners free...." He gestured to the cells which made up the level. "A few of them look like they have dog collars they could lend you," he finished evenly, his only response to her rant.Running was what Ray was best at, that and machines. If she had a problem with the way he did things, then she'd have to take that up with Margot next time they got divided. In the meantime, if Aizel really wanted to collar and leash him, she'd have to catch him first. And considering he'd have time to once-over the whole floor while she ran up the stairs, he didn't figure he'd have that much of a problem.Ray blinked his innocent pale blue eyes at her once before stalking off (so slowly, for her benefit) towards the first cell. It wasn't anything special. With his custom gauntlet he figured it would be pretty easy, and so in that manner he pulled the door off its hinges. Huh. He put the door carefully to the side as the ungrateful prisoner fled the cell and made straight for the exit. He shrugged at that.

@silver_wingedAaron stared at the multiple screens in disbelief. He was incredulous that they had found the eyes of the building. Not taking his eyes off the screens, Aaron whispered, "Unbelievable. Do you know how this could help us..?" Something caught his eye, on one of the screens in the upper row. Fire was all around, eating through the carpeted floor and there was a thick haze of smoke. Some chitauri were dead on the floor, and others were dazed. Aizel and Ray were see scurrying up the stairs. The screen before it showed Aykay, Pyra, Frost, Fang in the basement with poor lighting, going up the stairs. As Aaron's eye moved down, he could see that metalman was right above the second floor, Sylvia close behind him. "What'd we do now?"@bunnyshadowAndrew broke through what seemed like the third floor. @skylarkQuiet as a mouse, a girl with raggedy red hair tied up in a bun slipped through the majestic gates of Loki's castle. She paused for a second to look at the glorious red doors, twice as tall as her, and then without a sound, she shared a glance with the guards and slipped in.Shaula paused inside, eyeing the magnificent sculptures and art. She stopped and grabbed a small statue and slipped it into her trench coat. Grinning like a maniac, she opened the doors to Loki's throne room.Respectfully, Shaula stopped and bowed to Loki. "I have brought you goods, Loki." Her voice was smoothed over a cold, emotionless tone, and she met his gaze evenly. She stepped back for a second, waiting for Loki to talk.

@skylark~~~Sylvia poked her head over the edge of one of the floors. "How am I supposed to know?" she demanded. "Your the one that blew up half of this stupid tower." The way she was acting now was almost exactly opposite of how she had made the illusion act. It seemed that, now that she was done with Margot, she had decided to go back to her usually feisty, more-demanding personality. Suddenly, she pursed her lips. "There are a few rebels up there." she said, flicking her head up. "Another few in the basement level." She now looked back down at Andrew. "And another few around where...." Her eyes flashed momentarily. "You are." Sylvia paused. "Maybe a floor below."

@bunnyshadowAndrew rolled his eyes. "Yeah, and I'm Thor and Stark's son! No way the rebels could've infiltrated this tower. We all know it was once the base for the Avengers, but soon it will be the base for Loki! You see, Loki wanted a skylight. That's why I nearly wreaked half the building. It looked terrible without it, anyways. All dark and dingy and gross." #epicpost #epicline@catLoki was sipping his wine when Shaula came in. He set his glass down, "Hello, Jones. @skylark Shaula lifted her head up high and narrowed them. She quickly made a decision, and she walked into the room in a few large strides. Her gaze, cold and serious seemed to glare down at everyone. "So, going on? Why the fancy occasion?" she asked.

@skylark~~~"I'm serious!" Sylvia hissed. The demi-god jumped down the hole, only this- close to pouncing on Andrew. "It looks even more dark and dingy and gross with dust, dirt, and rubble everywhere."

@leafpelt@meixiaotian@bunnyshadow@jupiter_hollow@asiAykay reached the main level of the building. The place was in utter confusion... there were scattered machines, running about like they were confused. She could see trace amounts of smoke and there was a strange scent in the air that she couldn't quite place. She realized that at this point, it would be wise to just keep running. The machines weren't organized enough to stand their ground, so it would be possible to get to the staircase without much resistance...She didn't bother to look behind her for the others. She knew they were stronger than her, or at least more confident. She ran quite a distance before a machine spotted her. She ran into and over him before he could aim his weapon. She was halfway up the stairs before the other machines caught on and by the time they drew their weapons, she was already at the top.

Oh. An interruption.West gave the newcomer a searching look, with her sapphire eyes guarded yet curious, and her expression an excellent poker face. In return, the human's gaze was frosty and a little arrogant. Of course any mortal which was worth Loki's attention would be interesting without exception. She played vaguely with a lock of her amaranth hair while Loki greeted the arrival. She didn't at all mind. West was generally rather appreciative of things spontaneous, unexpected or simply random, and she had a bit of a habit of being so herself. She was also used to being a part of the background, and she didn't mind that either, so long as she could remain at Loki's side and in his favor... And she'd rather like a room with a nice view....West zoned out.

Margot switched the transmitter on. "Sylvia and a guy in a metal suit are heading right for you guys. They're on the second floor now, coming down through the middle of the building. Be careful." She switched off the transmitter. The screens displayed the building in its entirety, although they seemed a little jumbled up. She found the basement floors by the broad display of black, either from fire-consumed cameras or copious amounts of smoke. Somewhere above those, Aykay and her team were moving up through the bottom of the prison floors. The prisons used to be office spaces, evident by the floor markings where cubicles used to stand. They had all been torn apart to make room. The broad windows had been boarded up completely and sealed with dark tarp to prevent any light from coming through on the outside rooms. They were lit with a sterile fluorescent glow. Cages were made of solid metal, and situated all over the prison rooms. Most of them had only one Chitauri left to guard them, as many had run off to deal with the fire or the trespassers. A few of them were left completely unsupervised.-c
