Melody ~ 11

Lauri nearly trips over me. She unsheathes her sword to face me, with a sad expression on her face as if she were overcome by disappointment. I draw my silver, shining knife as a defense. Unless something interesting is going on, Lauri and I will most likely be shown on TV for the moment. I have to remain alert, and I wipe my face of emotion in order to assure the audience that I can take her on.

After an hour or two, I began pacing, just for something to do. The wind slammed against the hills, and even though I was sheltered, I scowled. It was unnatural, the wind. It didn't flow like it should, and it was angrier than it should be from my location.
I sat down and sighed, then froze, suddenly remembering they were filming me. Gods. Well, me being the boring person I am, I doubted I was on television.
I recalled Sylvannia's stratergy and smiled, realizing I must have ruined it from the moment the Games had began, from running like the wind. Oh wellllll...
I turned my attention back to the problem at hand.
I didn't have any food, I only had the drink bottle of water, and the wind and the sun really didn't help by dehydrating me.
I was used to this stuff, but usually I knew all the nearest water supplies. Without them...
I'd have to leave to find water and hopefully food, and sooner would be much better than later.
I thought i'd seen some tributes heading west, so I decided east it would be.

As I am lifted up into the arena I look down at the ring, which melody did have to return after she decided she would be my ally, the buzzer rings and when the sixty seconds are over I jolt. I have such long legs that I can go somewhat fast. I only manage to grab a knife or two- they were in a pack- and jolt out of the bloodbath to the hills. I open the pack and find aknife and a change out blade. I shall wait and try to find Melody at a later date.

Blah, I have writer's block. D; The roleplay's looking kind of slow, so we'll do a time skip to night after the Melody and Lauri scene (unless other RPers are doing anything important.) We may see some mutts tonight. 😉

Melody ~ 11

A short amount of time has passed, and already I've come across a tribute. Not surprising, though, considering this is the Hunger Games. Any number of competitors could be lurking in this grassy area. I make a mental note to get back into the forest as soon as I can. Perhaps I'll find Tess there.

Lauri appears to be ready to fight. Her long range gives her an advantage, too. Something seems to be wrong, though; I glance down to see a large earwig climbing up the leg of my pant. I shriek, finally shaking it off after it bites me.

I'm praying that I will win. I grab my dagger and make a campsite near a river. I think that most of the people here are thirsty for blood. I'm scared. I jump over the stream and run, looking for my next victim. "Nobody really cares if I fail and die. I have no friends." I hide under a bush and wait.

Lauri randomly charges, slicing through the air in random places and making it slightly easier for me to dodge her attack. The earwig bites are stinging my leg, and it becomes stiff and hard to move. I turn and continue my journey to the other side of the pond, where I see some trees. The clump is too small to be the forest that I saw, but hopefully I will encounter it. The grass whistles near my feet as I race away, although I am limping significantly.
