I walk for a long time. It seems like 5 miles or so. But who really knows. I hit tall grass somewhere and start to walk. I see a limping figure, it looks somewhat like Melody! "Melody?" I whisper only loud enough for the figure to hear.

It's not "getting dark." That's exactly the example I used for what not to do. xD And Melody isn't "fleeing for the woods." There are no woods where she's going. ;P

Vira fell asleep on the treetops. When she was pretty much awake, she looked out on the horizon. She could see some shadows moving along, but she didn't think they were human. Vira hopped down from the trees and thought of robbing other tribute's campsites. Then she could find her next victim, or maybe a new alliance.

Melody ~ 11

The sun begins to set behind the long, flowing grasses. It casts orange streaks across the sky, resembling the color of crisp autumn leaves on the soil beneath District Eleven's orchards. Wind pushes down the grass blades, and the very few trees in the area shake. My legs brush the grass as I limp across the field, hoping that Lauri has given up on following me. While the pond is still within my view, hopefully I am far enough to avoid being spotted.

/I guess not./ I think as I hear a human voice nearby. My eyes dart toward the direction of the sound, and I look around until I see a figure. I slowly sink into the grass in my attempt to hide until the danger has passed. I squint, trying to make out the person. /A tribute? Who, though?/ I ponder.

"Melody?" I whisper, but this time in a higher voice. "Its Tess...." I say in a regular talking voice. I have my knife at the ready in case it isnt Melody and I get attacked. I walk a little farther and closer until I can see her face. I was right, its Melody. "Hey Melody!" I chirp, but I'm still in my lower voice. "You uh need some help there with your leg?"

My attempt to obscure the tribute's vision of me by hiding in the grass has proven futile. My breathing quickens slightly as the girl nears. I make out the features of Tess. "Hey, Melody!" she says, calling my attention toward her. I peek out from behind the blades of grass. "Hi, Tess," I whisper, cautious to keep my voice down with other tributes nearby. "Lauri and Jade are by the pond," I continue.

I just noticed how illiterate I have been on this roleplay. xD Thanks for clearing that up

I snuggle down into my sleeping bag, and lay the blanket over me for extra warmth. My pillow is very scratchy, with all the grass in is.
I fall into a haze, then wake up, punch my pillow a few times that try to sleep.
This happens so much, soon, it's as soft as flour, which is worse.
I take of my blanket and fold it up into a pillow, which makes me chilly.
I always keep my sword in arms reach, after all, it's the first night in the arena, and who knows when someone can attack, and who knows you could be trusted? *Coughjadecough*
