Pokemon Roleplay: New Trainers

"Now through a Pokeball at the Poochyena and hope that they stay inside the ball," Sirius said, looking at the hurt Poochyena critiqually as if trying to see if it had been badly hurt or anything from the battle.

Cinder turned her head towards Kiara, she seemed to be yipping in encouragement. She leaped out of Sirius's hands and walked closer to the girl, her large brown eyes looking at her expectantly. She wanted the girl to catch the Poochyena already so that Cinder would have a new playmate.

Kiara grabbed one of the new pokeballs she'd just bought. She looked at it for a second, then threw it at the pokemon. It opened up and the poochyena disappeared in a flash of light. The button blinked three times and then stopped.

"Did I...?" she asked.

I debated her having to throw another pokeball, but why not give her a little bit of a victory here? XD

Sirius nodded in approval, "Congrats, you just caught your first Pokemon." He said, smiling at her and then looking at the Pokeball. "It was a good battle, and it's good to have another Pokemon, besides Bubble, that you can battle with in case Bubble has fainted or been hurt."

Cinder yipped and raced forward towards the Pokeball. She poked it with her nose and watched it roll a tiny bit. Barking in excitement, she began to roll the Pokeball around her in a playful manner.

Kiara quickly picked up the pokeball and clipped it onto her belt.

"True. And it looks like just a puppy, so it should be pretty easy to train, right?" she asked, not sure. She knew this was true of water pokemon.

Souke fiddled with his tail slightly as the electrike stood in front of him. To her battle position, he reacted by raising his paw, as a sign of surrender, a peace, so to speak. Yet, Joule was still electrically charged. The Abra stepped away a bit, out of fear, as Noah got electrified and tumbled to the ground.

"Ack!" Wren squawked, flailing as Noah smashed into him and both tumbled backwards in the tall grass. The boy, being lighter and on the bottom, waggled from under the blue-haired coordinator and sat up. "Yeah, you do that." he chuckled lightly at Noah's note and stood up as well. "Higher electricity would've stripped skin." he noted himself of the boy's slightly reddened hand and turned to glance at the two pokemon.

Souke stood completely still at the contact of Joule's paw, slowing his breaths slightly, as to remain unmoving while their paws connected. He had a slight fear of startling the Electrike again and only resumed his normal breathing when she'd moved away. To the Abra, it didn't quite seem as if the apology had been accepted, but he didn't want to confront Joule again - she seemed to always react feverishly to their encounters.

"You're telling me," Noah muttered. He tapped the pink pads of his fingers and winced at the sharp pain, like he'd been burned. "Maybe an electric type wasn't the best idea," he thought to himself. "A little late for regrets though."

"I'm okay," he assured his Pokemon, who stood next to him looking partially concerned and partially guilty. "We just have to learn to be more careful." With a grunt, he stooped down and picked up his bicycle, which had also fallen over.

Up a short ways ahead, Joule noticed two figures. She let out a short bark to get her trainer's attention and then jabbed her nose in that direction. "Oh!" Noah said. "Looks like Sirius and Kiara." He waved widely toward them and began to jog in that direction.

Sirius shrugged, "Maybe, it depends on the Poochyena's personality. If its a really stubborn Pokemon then it might be harder to train, but still trainable." He said and he then heard Cinder yip.

Cinder was looking at figures in the distance, yipping excitedly. "I think that's Noah," Sirius said, following the Vulpix's gaze and he waved back, "Hey!"

"Come on Souke." he urged the still flsustered Abra forward, already heading towards the group. The pokemon refused to budge at first, but after a pointed quirk of Wren's eyebrow, he reluctantly waggled forward, seemingly going as slow as possible. The trainer sighed. "Souke... we have to go."

The Abra paused in one place, waiting until Wren stood in front of him, arms crossed. He took a step foward and looked up at the boy, extending his arms.

Wren's eyebrows shot up to his hair and he stared for a while, wide-eyed.
"You want me to... carry you?"
The pokemon seemed to just stand there, waiting to be lifted, so Wren complied, albeit slowly, scooping Souke from the ground and holding him in his arms. Strange enough, the pokemon didn't teleport so Wren found it safe to proceed towards the group. He only hope the troublesome Abra wouldn't wreck anymore havoc with the rest of the pokemons.

Kiara greeted Noah with a cheerful wave. She held up the poochyena's pokeball triumphantly.

"Look! I caught a poochyena!" she called. "On my first try! The practice battle really helped and Sirius showed me how to catch it!"

She then remembered the pokeballs he'd given her money for. She pulled his five out of the bag, plus the premier ball and handed them to him.

"Here." she said, then indicated the premier ball. "I got this other one for free, and I bought a bunch for me anyways, so you can have this one too."

Noah eventually hopped on the bike to cover the last few yards a bit more quickly. He hated having to shout just to be heard. "Great job!" he congratulated Kiara, stepping off the bicycle and nearly onto Joule's tail. The electrike hopped out of the way at the last second, barking softly. Noah didn't seem to notice.

Not one to turn down a gift, he took the five Pokeballs and placed them the side pocket of his backpack, where they would be readily accessible. He kept the Premier Ball out a moment to look it over. "Cool, thanks," he responded, tossing it in the air once. "I love the color. I can't wait to get some seals for this!" He placed that in the Pokeball pocket as well.

After acknowledging Sirius with a nod and a smile, he glanced over his shoulder to look for Wren. The other boy was just approaching, carrying his Abra in his arms like it was a small child. "This is Wren," he said to Sirius and Kiara. "We ran into each other on the way to the lab. Wren, that's SIrius, and this is Kiara. Oh, and the Abra is Souke, and the Vulpix is Cinder, and the Horsea is Berry. Right?" He glanced up at the other two for confirmation.

Sirius nodded, "Yep, that's us." He said, patting Cinder on the top of her head when she leaped back into his arms. She looked at the new person with the Abra in his arms and yipped. Her big brown eyes were wide with curiosity, her little black nose moving slightly as she sniffed the air. When she was done checking out the new people Cinder went back to her comfortable position in Sirius's arms.

Sirius smiled and then looked at Wren, "Hey, as Noah said, I'm Sirius and this is my partner Cinder. I'm a breeder-in-training," he said in a friendly manner and then his attention went back to the Vulpix in his hands. She seemed calm but he was afraid that she suddenly leap out of his hands and run away if he glanced away for even a second.

"Yup. I'm Kiara, and this is Berry." She said pointing at her horsea who had reappeared on her shoulder. "I used to be an aquarium show coordinator, so I'm gonna try out some competitive coordinating."

Approaching the trio, Wren set the Abra on the ground again, watching as it waggled forward along with him, until they both stood in front of the other trainers. Giving him a last glance, he turned his full attention to the conversation, smiling as he was introduced.
"Yup, 'm Wren and I think you know the teleporting Abra, we almost bumped into you earlier." he chuckled sheepishly. Mirroring Sirius' smile, he turned to glance at the Horsea happily standing on the girl's shoulder. "You're trained water animals before?" he asked Kiara, looking at Berry. "Well, in that case, I can't wait to see you and your pokemon on the fields. It'd be a show to watch."

At Sirius' introduction, he chuckled. "Sirius the serious or Sirius the not so serious?"

Noah smiled brightly; everyone seemed to be getting along. He would have felt guilty for leaving Wren behind. The kid looked to be a little in over his head.

"I don't mean to hold us up even longer, but I need to check the Pokemart and see if they have any gloves," he explained apologetically, and held up his hands. His electrified fingers were still pink and singed. "I'd like to be able to touch my Pokemon."

Joule greeted Cinder with a sharp bark and a twitch of her tail. Noah got the feeling that Electrike might be pack Pokemon; Joule seemed more at ease when she was around other canine Pokemon.

"No that's fine." Kiara said. "The poochyena I just caught will probably need a stop at the pokemon center. And I'm sure Berry won't mind either."

Berry wasn't looking too bad, but she HAD fought Joule and the poochyena. Which reminded her... The poochyena needed a name.

"I think I'll call this one Alto." She said, half to herself.

Sirius looked at Wren and said, "How about Sirius the slightly serious?" He suggested, his fine light and joking. He modded as Noah spoke, "Good idea, I want to stop by the Pokemon Center and check it out." He said, his head also nodding in agreement as Kiara spoke.

Cinder turned as she heard Joule yip. She tipped her head to the side and then happily trotted over to Joule. She yipped and then ran forward and tagged Joule with her paw, she has forgotten about Joule's electric pelt.

Clothes: She wears a grey blouse and kacki shorts, she has a beanie on (With a picture of a pokeball on it) and nee-high socks (With a checkered pattern on them) and black dress shoes.
Other (appearance): She usually has a grey clip just below where her beanie starts. She has grey gloves with the finger tips cut off and a grey backpack.

"That's good," Noah responded, scratching at the back of his head. These were nice kids, he was growing to realize. Hopefully they were the kind he wouldn't mind spending a lot of time with. "It's never a bad idea to stop by the Pokemon Center," he agreed. "Everybody can get a refresher, and we can ask Nurse Joy what kind of Pokemon we can catch around here." He didn't want a Poochyena, he had decided since his first battle with one. He could only see their snaggleteeth and ragged fur and yellowed eyes. They were certainly not his style.

Joule bowed excitedly, but stood right back up when she felt a small jolt of electricity leave her. She whimpered once apologetically before trotting off toward Oldale.

"Sure you can come. I just wanted to stop at the Pokemon Center first. Me and Jason have been training a while and I want to make sure he's ready to fight when we head out again." Cody replied, pausing for a moment. "I think I heard about that Premier Ball thing too, I think I'd like to buy ten or twenty Pokeballs."

"Okay, so we should head out then!" Cody led the way as the two headed for Oldale Town, with no interruptions. Jason followed quietly, close behind his trainer.

Finally they had reached the Pokemon Center, which had been Cody's goal the whole time. Though he didn't mind bumping into Miles, he was a pretty cool kid. "Could you maybe fix up my Kirlia, please?" He asked the receptionist, gesturing towards his only Pokemon, Jason.

Vulpix yelped as she was shocked but she shook it off quickly and followed Joule. Her short legs moving quickly to keep up with the other Pokemon.

Sirius nodded, "Yeah, knowing the type of Pokemon in the area is always good. It'd also be good to get a feel on what to expect in a Pokemon Center as we'll have to go there quite a bit." He said nodding in agreement. He then look from Kiara to Noah to Wren, "So we're all I'm agreement, correct?" He asked them all, watched Cinder out if the corbernif his eyes as she got further and further.

Sorry! This roleplay slipped my mind for a little while. ^^; @hay7199 Thank you for updating, you're all clear to join.

"Correct," Noah replied, and started off after the two canine Pokemon. Even though Joule didn't really need to be healed, he didn't mind going with them.

Joule glanced over her shoulder once to make sure Cinder was following, and bounced a little in her step. She bounded right into Oldale and began weaving figure-eights around signposts and flowerbeds. This pattern continued until she heard the sliding door of the Pokemon Center open for her trainer, and she dashed over to meet him. The little electric type darted right in between Noah's feet and into the Pokemon Center.
