@jupiter_hollowAs Orion walked in the room, he froze instantly. /Oh, I have a roommate./ The boy didn't look at him, so Orion tried to pretend like he didn't notice the boy in the windowsill either. He walked over to the bunk bed. The sheets on the top mattress were rustled and undone, so Orion assumed he had to take the bottom mattress, not that he minded it.He bent over, trying not to gag on the smoke. The drawers under the bottom bunk that weren't bursting with clothes Orion started filling with his own stuff. There wasn't much space, only four small drawers for the both of them. But Orion managed to stuff his clothes in the drawer. Orion shoved his suitcase under the bed as his roommate left the room. Orion checked the time. "9:30," he said to himself. He laid down on his bed and pulled out his phone. Four new texts from Mom. He couldn't help but chuckle. He didn't know what to think about his roommate. Eventually, the smoke smell clogged up his throat and he stepped out on the small balcony. The stars shined bright up ahead. He lifted his hand up and produced a small current. Brilliant purple-blue light danced across his skin, sending shock-waves through his bones. Sparks mingled with the stars. It was as if he was up there, the stars themselves birthed from his fingers. Before he knew it, his whole body was tingling with sparks. And he fell asleep huddled on the balcony.

JUST FOR INFO, I AM ON A PHONE AND THEREFORE TWICE AS INCOMPETENT IN MY WRITING SO NO JUDGEY OKAYY? XD@dada_dragonNodding tersely, Misha pulled his suitcase inside after himself and promptly took the carpet along with it by accident. The room's layout provided that a chair and a desk would go along with that carpet and by the time he had taken three steps, the fabric had gotten caught up. The chair tipped first but Misha had the reflex to prop a foot against it before it had fallen."Woops" he intoned, proceeding to move the furniture upright and toe the carpet back in its place. He would have had the decency to look embarassed had it all not been a daily occurence. There wasn't even any collateral damage. Hopefully the other boy would grow accustomed to his antics. For now, he opted to assign his unfortunate motor skills to the weight he dragged along. Smiling sheepishly, he motioned to the suitcase. "Sorry... this is kinda heavy." He moved the suitcase onto his bed, nevertheless, and with little effort, then began unpacking diligently to prevent himself from either standing awkwardly or going to sleep directly after arriving. Both seemed horribly embarassing."Um... Sorry, I'm Misha." He mentioned over his shoulder, trying to make some sort of small talk. "I uh... what about you?"@glazzie @cutebirdy79 @skittlejg @epicthings451 anyone up for continuing this? Can we skip directly to morning? There's nothing major going on anyway. Draco and Arsenic are sleeping in Arsenic and Strider's room so Nick can go to his dorm peacefully. Strider and Alexin are in the 'medical wing' and as far as I know everyone has arrived and can go to sleep just fine. =P-Only bothering to raise one acknowledging brow at the other boy, Eytan made his leave before any attempt at a conversation had taken place. He'd given little credit of decency to his roommate before he'd gotten to know him past appearance but he was currently in something of a hurry and therefore allowed himself to be a shallow judgemental douchebag. Because in all honesty, the other had looked annoying.Speaking of which, he hadn't encountered anyone decent in over an hour and was beginning to get increasingly bothered with Alexin's absence. As much as he was a patient person most of the time, the situation that necessitated Alexin's attention was suspenseful. He had assumed the dove had things under control since he hadn't sought out his help yet, but then again, he tended to overestimate his own capabilities, which wasn't brought on by egoism but a dislike for asking help of others. He exited the dorm hallway with an itching need to whip out another cigarette, which was gradually dulled by curiosity. The hallways were surprisingly empty for the most part, which both calmed him and invoked a certain suspicion in him. He'd witnessed the insane outburst of a certain toxic parahuman a bit earlier and now wondered if everything had went alright up here while he'd been downstairs. He found that he cared very little.Stopping short of the medical office, he prodded the pack of cigarettes in his pocket at the sight of a sign inhibiting smoking and sighed. A knock on the door was shortly answered by a tall balding man that seemed to be fully human and then some. His feathered arms were regarded with an awed gaze that he felt was out of place in an academy as this one."Looking for Alexin and Strider. Both have wings. They been here?""Still are." The man answered with surprising curtness and authority for a person his age, especially considering his reaction to seeing a parahuman. Eytan didn't regret assuming he was an old geezer without his wits but duly noted his error of judgement. He pondered little on it however."Uh, i'm a friend." He said and was shortly let in with surprisingly little suspicion from the man. Apparently tall dark and brooding had lost its edge these days.He inwardly snorted at the thought, then smiled at the winged duo in the far corner of the room.Strider lay in the hospital bed with Alexin sat on a chair by his side, both boys fast asleep. The white-haired parahuman was propped uncomfortably against the back of the chair, which didn't phase him in his sleep. Strider looked stable, so he assumed sleeping arrangements hadn't mattered much to Alexin. While approaching, he noticed a third person occupying the room. She was red-haired, tall and tanned and was currently staring at him in surprise. He paused, feeling the need to explain himself."I'm a visitor. Here to check on- uh" he motioned towards the two boys. "Won't be long."The redhead acknowledged his request with a brief nod, but her expression didn't change. She seemed a little shaken by his entry, but he didn't pay any attention to strange reactions. He was looming, large and unconventionally winged. Figures."Hey." He called out to the small pale boy, prodding his shoulder lightly to wake him. Alexin stirred immediatelly, expression turning sour as he made to lift his head only to be stopped short by a cramp."Hey.""You're hurting your neck."As if to sheepishly admit doing so, Alexin rubbed the back of his neck and shoulders, then shrugged."I'm fine. Sorry for falling asleep.""I can wake you up if he does. You can go sleep in the meanwhile." Eytan ordered rather than offered, verbally shooing off his tired friend. He was shortly cut off by the redhead that had somehow managed to wedge herself in the small space between the bed and Eytan."You can both stay. Alexin's presence is required during the first 12 hours after the panic attack for obvious reasons but there are more than one extra beds." She helpfully pointed out and then actually pointed to the extra beds nearby. At that, Eytan eyed both her and the winged parahuman for not having made use of them earlier. He threw a glance at the old man who had resumed his previous fidgeting around the room as if nothing had happened. He seemed to pause lightly when the woman looked at him, however."I see no problem in making room for two. We need one of you around to calm our patient down, but there's no harm in more company. Unless of course, the gentleman would hinder his recovery, which I highly doubt." The old man eyed Eytan in his own turn and the vulture had to do a double take at the hint of playful suspicion there. "Right?" The geezer further inquired and he nodded diligently."Oh, thank you." Alexin breathed out sleepily, functioning at the intellectual level of an airhead. He allowed himself to be navigated into one of the beds by Eytan, unceremonially falling back asleep. The vulture made quickwork of the sleeping arrangements without much trouble, but didn't settle to sleep until well past midnight after having gotten his nicotine fix in the hallway outside. Truly today had been insanely packed with misfortune for a first day. He had the ache in his left arm and leg as a testament to that, as well as a mild headache that threatened to stick for the next few days. Lehigh Academy was filled with trouble.

Ethan ran his fingers through his hair. He could already tell that rooming with this guy was going to be... Interesting. He seemed awkward and clumsy, but harmless and maybe even a bit friendly... A stark contrast to the others he had previously encountered..."My name's Ethan." he said. "Part black bear, if you're curious."It felt so odd being open about that, after keeping it a secret for so long... @jupiter_hollow

@dada_dragonMisha's ear twitched in curiosity just as Ethan had assumed. He'd been able to guess which animal the fluffy rounded ears on the boy's head belonged to. He itched to grab his own tail and fiddle with it, to display it as proof or just to satisfy his habit or playing with it."Imma fox." He chirped back, stuffing his clothes in half the shelves of the small wardrobe their room was equipped with. Better than nothing. "I'll uh- leave you half the shelves. D'you mind?"
dada_dragon • 16 November 2014 at 3:43 PM
"I just need one shelf for my books." He answered, pointing at the one shelf, which was barely half-used. "You can have the rest."He hoped there was a library in this place... He'd left most of his books at home and had only brought a handful of his favourites. He watched as Misha unpacked his stuff. Ethan wasn't very good at being social. Most of his time was spent keeping Aykay under control and most people avoided him because Aykay was insane and so he was guilty by association in their eyes..."So..." He said awkwardly, "How did you find out about this place?"@jupiter_hollow
jupiter_hollow • 16 November 2014 at 4:02 PM
@dada_dragonThe boy craned his neck back past the wardrobe door to smile at Ethan."Oh, thanks! You're a bookworm?" He inquired light-heartedly without putting much thought on the possible offence the other may take of his words."It's weird that you'd rather put books in the wardrobe rather than clothes... But I guess everyone with their own preferences."He wasted no time in unpacking, emptying his suitcase, diligently closing it; then took a seat on it. The thing was large enough to contain most of his belongings and therefore, large enough to serve the purpose of a chair too.Misha took his shoes off before bothering to answer the question, getting comfortable and taking his tail in his lap before opening his mouth."My dad. He had trouble taking care of me and decided the people here would do a better job."
dada_dragon • 16 November 2014 at 10:42 PM
"Yeah, I suppose I am." he said, still watching his roommate unpack. "Books are a much needed distraction from supervising my hurricane of a sister. I just kind of put them where they fit. No use taking up room elsewhere when they fit perfectly fine next to my clothes... I didn't really bring much when we got kic- when we left home..."He looked down at his knees. No need to unload all his problems on this guy after they first met... Besides, it wasn't as though their mother had wanted them to leave... It was just easier to kick them out, using Aykay's worsening attitude and Ethan's constant defense of her as an excuse. Aykay didn't know this of course... He and his mother had decided it would be best for her not to worry about that..."Our neighbour suggested this place to us. She's like us... A ferret-type, really sweet."@jupiter_hollow
jupiter_hollow • 18 November 2014 at 5:31 PM
@dada_dragonBehind the curtain of his curls, Misha blinked thoughtfully, pausing in his fidgety antics. Soon he lifted his head with a small pitying smile."I'm sorry you got kicked out." he sympathized, having picked up on the little slip up despite Ethan's attempt to alter his wording. He, on the other hand, paid little attention to the prospect of insulting the boy with his bluntness. He wrung his tail awkwardly, not knowing what all to say to the other without sounding insensitive, oblivious to the fact that he perhaps already had. "But - ...I mean it's nice that you're taking care of your little sister. That's very sweet."Thinking a bit, he continued, moving onto the other topic Ethan had opened. His initial reaction to his description of their neighbour had been to laugh, but the likening to an animal brought on some suspicions."She sounds nice too. And accepting."he smiled. "Was she a parahuman? Or uh- did you just live in a really friendly neighbourhood?"
dada_dragon • 18 November 2014 at 9:55 PM
"She's not really my 'little sister'... We're twins." he said. "And yeah, she was parahuman. Her mom and ours were friends..."He smiled. Lily was a nice girl. Even Aykay had gotten along fairly well with her. She still called her 'freakers', which Lily didn't like, but Aykay didn't go out of her way to avoid contact with her, so that was at least something..."But enough about me, did you know any other parahumans back home?"@jupiter_hollow
jupiter_hollow • 18 December 2014 at 5:20 AM
@dada_dragonMisha raised his shoulders a little bit defeatedly."There isn't much to know about me. I had no parahuman friends. We lived in a small town. Not many rich folks." he spoke blandly, trying to stir clear of the topic of hometowns, then went silent after he'd said enough. "Sorry, I know it's kind of rude and all... but it's a bit late. And... we can go on talking about this for ages. I mean..." he fiddled with his tail and when he looked up he had a bashful smile. "I know I'm kind of in awe to be here... So many parahumans in one place."
dada_dragon • 17 February 2015 at 3:43 AM
"Maybe too many..." he mumbled to himself. He grabbed his pillow and flopped down onto his bed. This was only the first day and already he could tell that keeping Aykay away from Draco was going to be his new full time job...Maybe this was a bad idea... Aykay didn't need an excuse to act up, and this was looking more and more like a ticking time bomb of opportunities for her to get into trouble...And here... he was sure she wasn't the big fish anymore.@jupiter_hollow
