Lily was feeling better as she set to work. She carried on practising with Will and every time she performed her spell, the teacher would clap his hands and say, "perfect spell, Hazel!"
Lily thought suddenly, "Why not try blocking Will's spell?"
As Will shouted, "Expelliarmus!" Lily took a deep breath and shouted, "Protegro!"
Will watched in awe as a protective sheild expanded around Lily. The teacher looked up as the class stopped shouting. He saw Lily's charm and said, "Hazel, I would like you to go to Proffessor Dumbledoor's Office after lesson. Carry on everyone."
Lily's heart fell as she removed the protecting sheild. What was wrong?

"Professer Quill? I don't have a partner." Ruby stated to her professer.

Ami: She shuffled nervously from foot to foot. Professor Snape leaned over to inspect her potion.
"Your potion is too thick. But otherwise... good." Ami sighed in relief. Prof. Snape moved on to her other friends.

Professor Snape continued from Ami's cauldron to Sarah's, looked down his hooked nose at it, and continued on towards Tiff's. "thank god!" thought sarah. if he didn't comment it must mean there wasn't anything seriously wrong with it.

Ami: She noticed that Robbie was looking even paler than usual. He was fidgeting from foot to foot, breathing heavily, his eyes darting about nervously. Ami frowned. What was wrong?

If the "Dark Queen" is his mum, let's just say that he's nervous about what she's planning? ((He's not too pleased to be her son))

Lily sat on her bed. It was late in the night but she still couldn't get to sleep. She krept past the four poster beds and down the stairs. Her faivourite armchair, like all of the rest, was empty and Lily sat down. Whisper came and rested on her lap, purring softly. "That is how you should get to sleep." thought Lily sipping a mug on hot chocolate and feeling drowsy at last...

All of a sudden, Tiff heard a small voice in her head.
~Tiff! Tiff! A new enemy is rising!~ Tiff shook her head.
"Frost, will you not talk to me when I'm in class?" Tiff muttered to herself.



(I use ~ when a bird is talking to Tiff.)

Sarah yawned over her potions essay she was working on with Ami and Tiff and felt herself nodding off to sleep. She dreamt Tiff chattering with a bird, and heard something about a "new enemy" and "special powers." Suddenly, Sarah felt a flash of pain and woke, startled. "Sorry Sarah, you were twitching in your sleep, so I though I'd wake you" Ami said, giving a concerned look to Sarah. (@ashlinnhi this ok?) Sarah yawned and responded, "just a nightmare, nothing unusual" before staring at Tiff, gaping, as she saw the bird from her dream perched on the window ledge.

Ruby was forced into praticing with a dummy, a practice dummy. It had a fake wand held in it's hand and she had to disarm it.
"Expelliarmus!" Ruby shouted, the wand flew from the fake hand and hit the dummy's head. She had to feel a bit proud of herself. 😸

Tiff snapped out of her staring when she heard Ami's voice.
"Oh... Erm... I actually can talk to all birds. It's that Frost is probably the most talkative bird I've ever met. But, today she doesn't seem to be like usual..."

Lily walked past corridoors and through doors. She walked out into the gardens and thought about her first year so far. It had been great and wonderful, full of magic. But her nightmares and futre seeing had got worse. Now all Lily thought about was the mysterious figure of smoke and she couldn't help feel like there was something that connected her to this female. She had tried to re-read her notes and understand some more but all that she knew was that the woman was trying to a, get really powerful, b to find Lily and c to do something conected with a door and prophecy. Lily sighed as she came to a cherry tree and looked out towards the gleaming castle. A sudden voice interupted her thoughts.
"What are you doing here, Hazel?
Lily turned and saw a boy with a pointed face, black hair and brown eyes walking towards her. From what Lily had read of her notes, this boy was Kyle Waters and he had attacked her on her first day of school. Mastering all of her courage, Lily said "What do you want, Waters?"
As soon as she said this, Lily wished she hadn't. Kyle looked hurt and Lily thought that maybe she didn't read everything in her notes that day. Kyle looked nervously at Lily and said a little shakily, "Well in my common room, we had a letter on the notice board. In 1 weeks time, there will be a Halloween Party for all houses. And everyone has to come with a partner from a diferent house." Kyle paused and Lily suddenly had a strange feeling about what he was trying to get across. Kyle carried on, "I was wondering if you would like to come to the Halloween Party with me."
Lily was shocked. There was an uneasy scilence between the two. For a split second, Lily thought of saying that she already had a partner but what if Kyle asked who?
"Of course I'll come with you. Just - just to make sure, you aren't fooling me, are you?"
Kyle shook his head with a bright smile on his face. "See you around, Lily."
"Bye, Kyle."
"Call me Ky." he said with a grin. Lily returned his smile and watched him walk off. Then, another boy turned up. It was Will, his jaw set and his hair toussled. "What did he want?" he asked.
"He - he wanted me to come with him to the house Halloween Party." Lily replied. By now, Will was looking bitter and sad. "And you said?" he whispered. Will looked at Lily and she felt herself go numb with sadness. "I-" began Lily but Will was already nodding and walking away. "Will. Will!" Lily shouted after him.
Will turned and spat at her, "How could I have ever thought we were friends? You - you. I told you secrets, we were so close, everything was perfect! Go away, Lily. I never want to see you again. I don't want to KNOW you. You are the most despicable, mean and cold-hearted person I have ever met."
And with that, Will left Lily crying by the Cherry tree.

Allie was enjoying a walk in the castle grounds, when a very angry looking boy passed her, almost colliding with her. He seemed to be too busy frowning to notice anything or anyone on his path.

'Wow, I wonder what happened with him... He looked familiar too... Oh, he's a Gryffindor!' Allie thought, noticing his robes from behind.

She continued walking, but quite soon she registered a sound that didn't fit the sunny weather well. Someone was crying. Stepping around a corner Allie found out it was Lily.

''Lily!'' She called, rushing over to her and embracing her.

''What's wrong?'' Allie asked her. To herself she mused if this matter had anything to do with that boy she had seen earlier.

Tears streaming down her face, Lily answered, "I was -hic- taking a walk -hic- in the gardens -hic- when Kyle -hic- Waters came up to me and -hic- asked me to go to the Halloween -hic- Party with him. -hic- then Will turned -hic- up and asked me what Kyle want-hic-ed so I told him and -hic- he got - hic- angry and then -hic- he said...aaahhh." Lily weeped. "He said he NEVER wanted to see or KNOW me Ever again."

Allie listened the hiccuping Lily, at the same time holding her.

''Oh my... But...'' Allie had to collect her thoughts first. Will must have been that angry boy.

''I think that's awfully rude of Will. Wasn't it said that you have to go there with someone from different house? And Will is a Gryffindor, right? You did nothing wrong here, Will did. Now, how about we go inside, get you cleaned up and find ourselves some sweets?''

Allie said to Lily, wanting to cheer her up. That Will sounded like a huge jerk. To say something like that when it was clearly impossible for Lily to go to the party with him.

Ami: As she walked out of class, an unhappy looking Gryffindor boy stalked past.
"Hey... don't I know that guy? He's friends with Lily..." Ami thought. "I'll see what's wrong." She followed Will, and then tapped his shoulder. He jumped, and turned around angrily.
"Go away! I don't want to see -" He stopped abruptly. "What do you want?" Ami was taken aback.
"I was merely asking what was wrong." she said coolly. "But I can see that you clearly want to be alone." she started walking away. "Oh and if this has hurt Lily Hazel in any sort, you'll really regret it." Then Ami strode up to the Astronomy Tower, and into the Ravenclaw common room (that's where it is right?). There was a notice saying: "ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS! In one week, which is the 1st November, we will have a Halloween Party in the whole school! Invite a partner from another house, and join in the fun! Anyone WITHOUT a partner will have a marvellous time in detention with Mr. Filch. Happy Halloween!" Ami's heart started beating really fast. Invite a partner from another house? Her mind whirled around all the boys that she knew that were from the other houses. That was about... 20. Ok, they weren't really her friends, she just... knew them. None of them were that good-looking... except for Will. Her heart sinking, Ami sat with Tiff while Sarah worked on her essay.

"Hardly any of the boys seem good-looking."
