Ruby had felt a great wave of betrail if she just murdered someone and was thrown into Azkaban, a prison that holds criminal witches and wizards and drove them insane.
Walking over to the Sytherin table, the Sytherins were rather loud about her arravial. One of the third years actually sneered at her then turned away. How could she even be in Sytherin?

Sarah:
Professor McGonagall called "Sarah Zackson!" Sarah hurried forward and grabbed the hat, setting it on her head. The hat was so huge, however, that it slipped down until her nose was holding it up. "Muggle born, eh? I can see you want to prove yourself the the rest of our world, integrate into our society. Lots of knowledge, and a thirst for more. Well, it had better be, RAVENCLAW!" the hat yelled.
Sarah quickly jumped up, and went to the cheering ravenclaw table in a haze. Sitting across from Ami and Tiff, and turned to see the rest of the sortings.

Ruby clapped for her Sarah after her sorting being polite, bit the other Sytherins sushed her quiet.
She could stop staring at the sorting hat as if she could be resorted, to her surprize the voice of the sorting hat wispered in her head..." I to make this a challenge for you..."
What had that mean? A challenge? Being a Sytherin sounded terrible!

"Yumemi Shangmu!" Professer McGonagall shouted. Yumemi slowly walked to grab a hat. As she picked up the hat she placed it on her head. "Ahh I see you are very hard-working and loyal. This shall play a big role in your future. I saw you shall go to HUFFLEPUFF" the hat has exclaimed. Yumemi was okay with being a hufflepuff it's on okay house she thought as she walked over to the table with the other hufflepuff people.

gazing across at Ruby with the slytherins, sarah smiled sadly. She thought Ruby looked confused and horrified, but sarah wondered if she could have misjudged her friend. but she had always been so good at analyzing people, could she really have been that wrong? she doubted it, and resolved to think about it later. perhaps she would ask ruby, if ruby was willing to talk about it.

Ruby didn't notice anything around her much, she caught Sarah smiling as if it was her funeral.
She had waved to her and looked away. Wanting to be closed off from all life in the room at the moment.

Slightly startled by Ruby's dismissal, Sarah turned back to the sorting. Nearly everyone she had met on the train had been sorted already, but she wondered what would happen to Alyssa, if she was still walking here. Turning to Ami and Tiff, she asked if they should tell someone to go get her.

(I wrote myself into a corner here... Alyssa was originally going to *not* fall off the train, but then I came up with that and decided to go with it. And then the trip takes a while by train, so it should take even longer by foot. And so she probably won't get to Hogwarts until tomorrow (in the RP). And I don't really want that, but I'd like her to make it there on her own. I don't know where to go with this...)

Sarah looked over her sholder at Scarlett and waved, hoping that just because they weren't in the same house, not all her friends would leave.

The line of first years dwindled as they were sorted, with only 8 kids left. Two boys and another girl had joined Ravenclaw, but Sarah recognized none of them.

Scarlet saw Sarah waving at her and she waved back happily. Than she had an idea, she got tree little pieces of paper and a type of pencil and wrote on it 'compartment girls meet at the hall after reception?'and added a little smile at the papers. Then she wispered 'Wingardium Leviosa' and made some movements with her wand. One little paper started to fly really carefull next to the floor and fell on Sarah's hand that was laying on the table.The next one went to Yumemi. The other little paper went to Ruby's hand.

Scarlet kept staring at Ruby, Ami, Sarah, Yumemi and Tiff for there answer.

Than she asked Allie and Lily "girls meet at the hall after reception?"

Yumemi saw the little piece of paper that was heading in her direction. She grabbed it and it read 'compartment girls meet at the hall after reception?' it read. Yumemi knew it was from Scarlet, as she has seen her write it and send it to the other girls. Yumemi have Scarlet a smile and a thumbs to signal that she would go.

Sarah jumped as something touched her hand. Looking down, she saw a paper lying there, and quickly read it. She looked around and saw Scarlet smiling at her, so Sarah got out her quill and, flipping the paper over, wrote, "Yeah! Got to talk to teachers about Alyssa 1st though. Will tell Ami and Tiff." Then Sarah got out her wand and thought, 'wingardium leviosa' so the paper floated back to Scarlet, before turning to Ami and Tiff and whispering that the girls were going to meet in the great hall after reception

@windchill Yeah I was thinking of putting Ami in Sly, but Slytherin to give her a nasty shock, but then... I'd rather she was happy ^^

"Oh yeah, I love that kind of stuff! It might also be a chance to play a trick..." Her eyes drifted over to where a boy was staring at her (oh...). She poked her tongue out at him. He looked away sheepishly. After Henry Potstock was sorted into Hufflepuff, the Headmaster stood up.
"Welcome, to all the first years! To everyone else, welcome back! Everyone please remeber that (rattles off all the rules and such). Let the feast begin!" Food magically appeared on the golden plates in front of them. Ami tucked in immediately. It was sooooo good.....
After she was stuffed, professor Dumbledore stood up again.
"Now, prefects, please excort the first years to their dormitories. Good night everyone!"

Allie followed as the sorting progressed. That girl, Ruby, she now knew her name, looked awfully shocked to be sorted into Slytherin. Idly she wondered why.

Two girls Allie briefly remembered meeting went to Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff. Then she saw Scarlet waving her wand and whispering something, making a few pieces of paper fly away from her. Allie saw those papers flying to the other vaguely familiar girls. At first Scarlet stared at them, but then turned to look at her and Lily. She asked if they would stay behind to meet after this occasion.

''Sure!'' Allie answered, and smiled. She felt like she was really going to make some friends, and that made her extremely happy.

Soon after the sorting was then over, and the professor with long silvery beard stood up, proceeding to hold a speech. Thankfully it wasn't a very long one. Allie was getting really hungry at this point, she hadn't been able to buy anything from the train trolley due to lack of money. And according to the plates in front of them, they would be getting food. At least she hoped so.

Allies hopes proved to be right, because right after The Silver Beard had finished his speech, the plates were suddenly filled with seemingly endless varieties of food. Her eyes widened in wonderment. Some foods were familiar to her, but some weren't. Since Scarlet had seemed to know about magic world, Allie turned to her, inquiring about the unfamiliar foods.

Allie brawely tasted and tried everything unfamiliar on the table. The familiar ones were also insanely good. There was also desserts!
After everyone had eaten, the food disappeared, and plates were spotlessly clean again.

The Silver Beard then asked prefects to escort first years into their dormitories. Allie already stood up, but then she remembered the meeting. She wanted to go with Scarlet and Lily to avoid getting lost in the crowd.

Tiff stood up and followed the "prefects." They were easy to find. One was calling for first years. So she followed them.

Amira* The Ravenclaw girls' dormitory was filled with blue and bronze. Silk curtains hung magically in the air. Ami's bed was a four-poster; same as everyone else's. After everyone had gone to sleep, she crept out of her bed, and sat by the huge window. It was so peaceful here, not like a home, where her parents hit her for a mere loud footstep. Ami felt like she was truly at home, right here, at Hogwarts.

When they called all the first years after dinner Scarlet remembered that there was something important that they couldn't loose about the dormitorys. It was some knid of code that her mother told her.
So she thought that instead of meeting in the hall, they should go with the teacher.
When the first years students started walking she said to Allie and Lily "we should follow the teacher and meet tomorrow at the breakfast or something like this. Our teachers are going to explain important things that we can't loose" with that she walked to Yumemi, Ami, Sarah and Tiff to say the same thing.
She saw Ruby at the last of the queue, so she walked to her. "Hey Ruby can we talk tomorrow?We can't loose what the teachers are going to say. Oh and we still here ok? Nothing changed" She said with a frankly expression. She could see that her friend was sad.

Lily looked over to Ruby and felt a tidal wave of pity and unease. After all, the sorting hat had wanted to place her in Slytherin. Following Allie, she headed towards the prefects that would soon lead them to their dormitaries. Lily couldn't wait. Giving Scarlett the thumbs up, Lily wondered if Ruby will be able to still be friends with them.

Scarlet told Allie that instead of right now, they would meet tomorrow. She said there was some important information to hear from prefects, so they should follow them.

Allie was a little disappointed, but not much. After all the meeting wasn't completely cancelled. And actually she had wondered, how they would find these dormitories if they stayed behind.

The first years led by a prefect started their way upwards. At one point they had to stop, because the staircase switched places! There were also paintings, and their residents actually moved, and spoke too! Allie couldn't help but stare at them, completely awestruck. Some paintings even greeted her.

After climbing seven floors, as Allie had counted, they stopped. She peered around the people in front of her. They had paused before a large painting, which portrayed a luscious lady dressed in pink robes. She was giving the first years a hard stare.

''This is Fat Lady.'' The prefect said, and someone giggled.
''Yes, yes... But anyway, she guards the Gryffindor dormitories. She will let you in with a password, which changes regularly. We will start the year with 'Dumbledores socks'. Understood?'' Then without waiting for an answer the prefect boy turned and walked in through the door, which Fat Lady had revealed from behind her upon hearing the correct password.

The room was gorgeus. There were lush armchairs, a fireplace, red drapes hanging and golden decorations.
''Boys to the left, girls to the right, goodnight!'' The prefect said and vanished up the stairs.

After such an exciting day, Allie was very tired at this point. She started up the staircase on the right, and after a while there was a small stairlanding with a door. On it there was names, and Allie saw hers there, written in golden letters. The staircase continued upwards from that landing. The tired girl didn't go there, but presumed that older students slept there.

She opened the door. The room held five beds, and a cabinet next to each bed. Everyones belongings had been delivered from the train, waiting them at the end of their beds. Allie found hers to be the closest one to entrance.

Quickly she changed into her pajamas, collapsed to bed and fell right asleep, without having any time to suffer from homesickness.

Ruby followed the perfect to the domitory, "Alright the password is 'serpent vemon'" the perfect said rather boringly. "This is the common room,"
The common room seemed to have an erie feeling, nothing like home. Decorated with skulls and statues of snakes...
"Girls and boy domitorys there and good night." The perfect finshed.

Crawling up to the bed for Ruby, it had felt cold and unwelcoming. Tommorow would be the first day of classes...

Lily Hazel sat down in an armchair by the fireplace. Allie had already gone upto bed but Lily hoped that Willaim would turn up as he was also in Gryffindor. She was stroking Whisper and didn't notice as she herself began to drop off. She saw a figure climbing through the distance but she was too tired to move.

When the Ravenclaw prefect reached the eagle knocker, the bird cried out, "how many reflections are there when 2 mirrors face eachother?" Sarah wondered what this was, until the prefect turned around and tond the waiting 1st years that to enter the dormitory, they would always have to answer a question. Then he turned around again and said to the eagle, "How would we know if nobody stood if front of the mirror and looked? and if someone stood there, there would only one reflection" to which the door swung open. Sarah's heart dropped when she heard that to enter, one would have to correctly answer a question. This one didn't include the magical world, but it was unlikely they would all be things she knew, being muggle-born.
When she got to the 1st years girls' dormitory, she took the bed next to Ami, across from Tiff, and immediately fell asleep, deciding she would deal with her problems in the orning

After the prefect explained the dormitory rules and vanished scarlet set in a chair and admired the confortable room where all Griffindors could meet. She thought about Ruby's devastated face just then she remembered the whisper from the hat to her.
That was the moment that she decided that sleep would be really good way to relax and run away.

She went up stairs and found a room with her's, Allie's, Lily's and two other girls names so she entered. There she saw Allie sleeping so made her best to don't make too much noise. Her name was in the bed next to the window. She changed to her pijamas and laid in the bed, immediately fell asleep.
