"Oooh! Let's see..." she opened the first box (from the Head of House.)
The note said: Dear Amira,
Good job for being top in most classes in your year, and for being a great student; keeping everyone happy with your happy mood.
From Professor Flitwick

"Top in most classes?" Ami whispered. She put the note aside, and it immediately transformed into a lilac side headdress, matching with her dress.
"Oh yeah! I'll show you my dress later, after I've seen my second pressie." Ami exclaimed. She opened the second box. The note said:
Dear Ami,
Thanks for being a great friend, and I hope you get tricked at the Halloween party and freak your butt off. See you at the party!
J. D, your "secret" admirer. 😋

"Gee thanks, Josh!" Ami said sarcastically, although she was giggling. She took out the gift. It was a blue bracelet charm. It was studded with blue diamonds (or gems).
"It's so beautiful!" Ami whispered. She tried it on. It fitted perfectly. Well, it probably would have fitted anyway even if the right size hadn't been chosen (magic? charms? remember?). Ami craned her neck to see was Sarah and Tiff got.

She put the boxes down and placed a concealment charm over them before walking up to phoenix and hooking her arm in his. He gave her a scared/perplexed look but didn't pull away, so she took that as a good sign. "Ok, lets go!" sarah called to the others and dragged Phoenix behind her as she headed down the next flight of stairs.

Lily:

Nervously, I walked down the Grand Staircase. My mask set on and my tail attatched, I spotted Kyle at the end. He was wearing a black suit and his hair was combed back. As I came down, he turned and stared at me.

Finally, I reached the bottom. "Wow, Li." said Kyle extending his arm for me to take. "You look gorgeous."

"Thank you, Ky." I said taking his arm. I stood there watching the people walk past cautious of Kyle's constant gazing.

We walked into the Great Hall and I was so amazed at this spectacular view that I hardly knew where I was going. I walked straight into a boy. Stummbling back, Kyle caught me and I started to appologise to the boy when he looked up.

Gasping, mine and Will's eyes locked his feirce brown eyes full of hate and mine full of scaredness. He walked away and took the arm of a Hufflepuff girl.

"Shall we go sit down?" Kyle asked. I nodded and followed him to the Slytherin table. We sat down together and his friends joined him. They were 2 girls and 2 boys. Kyle waved at them and said, "Flint, Jack, Katie and Vera. Meet Lily."

A girl with red hair waved and said "Katie, nice to meet you." The tall black-haired girl said, "I'm Vera."

The two brown-haired guys introduced themselves as Flint and Jack as Kyle poured us some squash. Across the room, I saw Will and something seemed to be wrong: He was frowning at the suit of armour.

"What do you think we're going to do at the party?" she asked as she and Josh were entered the Great Hall. Her question was soon answered.
"Wow, look at that!" Ami murmured. The Great Hall was transformed into full Halloween Mode. There were eerie spiderwebs draped all around the place, and there were even live fluttering bats at the ceiling.
"That looks pretty funny," Josh snorted, pointing at a suit of armor that was dressed up as a "vampire".
"Shall we go over to Sarah and Phoenix?" Ami asked. Josh nodded.

Lily: Smiling, I laughed as Flint and Jack told jokes and Vera and Katie try to stuff as much chocolate into their faces as they can. Giggling, I took an apple from the middle of the table, took a bite and placed it before mysel.

Kyle looked at me, picked up my apple and inspected it. "Jack,Flint, do you know anyone with more tiny bites than that?" He laughed.

Vera shook her head and showed me a ring that Flint had brought her. "It's amazing!" I say looking at it. Kyle smiles and whispers, "You got my gift?"

"What gift?"

Shaking his head he laughs, "Your wearing it around your neck, silly!"

I smile but deep inside I feel butterlies awaking and battling. Kyle was my secret admirorer?!?!

Allie followed with her gaze as Lily went over to a boy and they walked together to the Great Hall.
She skanned the entrance. There seemed to be nobody checking on the incomers. Allie was greatly worried by this fact, because technically she still didn't have a partner. Lily had suggested that boy, was it Michael, but Allie hadn't got the guts to go ask him.

She descended the stairs to the entrance, peeking through the door. After a moment she was convinced that no one was watching and was about to walk through the door, when someone grabbed her shoulder. She whirled around, startled, and let out a small yelp of fright.

''Woah, sorry about that, I just wanted to stop you before a disaster happened. I interpreted that you were about to enter without a partner. There's a spell on that doorway, it would have stopped you and informed someone...''

Behind Allie there was a boy explaining all this. A very handsome boy. His hair was blond and eyes as green as smaragds. And he was tall, even though Allie wasn't the shortest herself.

''Oh... Thanks for warning me. I guess I'll have to skip the party then...''

Allie said forlornly and started to turn away to walk back up to the commonroom, when the boy grabbed her shoulder, again!

''I don't have a partner either. I was just kind of waiting if anyone else lonely would turn up... My name's Anthony and I'm a Hufflepuff. May I guess that you're from Gryffindor, since you came down from there and are wearing red? By the way, you're dress is really amazing, you look beautiful in it.''

The boy, Anthony bappled excitedly and then smiled a smile that seemed to light his whole face up. Allie blushed at his compliment.

''Uh, sure... And yes, I'm from Gryffindor...'' She answered Anthony, smiling just a little.

''Great!'' Anthony exclaimed, took Allie's arm and led her through the entrance without a problem.

Allie spent a wonderfull evening with Anthony. They talked a lot, ate a lot, and danced too. It turned out that Anthony was already a third year, but it didn't matter. Allie felt quite smitten with him.

When their feet hurt and they couldn't eat no more, they decided to call it a night. Anthony escorted Allie to the door of Gryffindor commonroom.

''It was great to get to know to you. It seemed almost like fate, didn't it? Well, I'll see you around, good night!'' Anthony said and bend down to give her a peck on the cheek. Without another word he then turned and walked quickly away, leaving Allie blushing and flustered under the gaze of Fat Lady.

''Nice young lad you got there, dear.'' She said, and opened without demanding a password from her. Allie was thankful for that, because she was quite sure that her vocal chords had taken a vacation out of country. She made her way up to the bedroom, undressed and just minutes later was sound asleep.

I think Dan said something about getting food though." In reality, Sarah was hoping Phoenix would compliment her, but instead it was her friend. Didn't boys know anything? In fact, Phoenix had said very little to her at all, merely asking once if she was hungry and later what she wanted to do. Partially put out, Sarah asked Ami, "Want me to help look for them? They've go to be around here somewhere. Come on! and I might grab some butter beer on the way"

"Can you excuse me for a minute?" I asked the others. They nodded and I walked out. As the oak doors shut behind me, I broke into a run finnally stopping at a bridge. I looked up into the evening stars and gazed thinking the whole evening through.

"Everything alright?" Kyle asked behind me. I turned. "Yeah..."

"Doesn't look like it. What's wrong?"

I stared at him then back at the hall, up at the castle and out to the horizon. "It's just my first year is nearly over and loads of things have happened. I feel so out of place."

Taking a single Rose out of a bush next to him, Kyle said, "Out of all the Roses in the Bush, I pick the Rose without the Thornes."

And indeed, he had. Carefully putting it into my hair, he smiled as I asked "How do you know the Rose has no Thornes?"

"Because I can feel."

I looked him full in the eyes. I knew he meant what he was saying. I was so confused but at the same time, I thought about Will. Pushing that guy out of my head, I followed Kyle back indoors. We sat down with these big dorky grins plastered all over our faces untill Flint poked Kyle with a fork and everyone burst out laughing. Accross the room, thought, Allie was not laughing but the complete opposite. She was frowning at me, then at Kyle, then at Will.

Ami glance over at Josh and Phoenix. They were chatting enthusiastically. So why hadn't Phoenix been like that with Sarah? Josh had been fine with Ami, they were pretty close friends. Ami felt a little guilty about Sarah not having the partner that she quite deserved...

Not roleplaying - Allie is currently sleeping after the party, that's why I haven't been posting.

And I don't think the year should end yet. How about this was a halloween party? If it's okay for everyone who is still involved with this, that next we play about leaving for christmas holidays (or staying in school if someone does that). And then coming back, then there's the Valentine's day, and so on.

Progress with small leaps? I mean, we kind of just started so it would be really weird if the whole year was suddenly gone.
