McGonagall told Sarah, "Your first class starts soon, I suggest you move along before you're late. I will make sure Miss Greene is taken care of." Therefore, waving, Sarah dashed off to her first lesson of DADA for her first lesson on spell work.

After eating breakfast, Tiff rushed off to DADA. She breathed a sigh of relief when she realised she wasn't late.

"Hey Tiff!" Sarah smiled as she walked up, "are you excited? I am, I wonder who our teacher is! I've read the whole book, and I am SO excited to learn shield charms! I mean, really, wouldn't those be the most useful? not only to they stop you from getting hurt, but the spell also rebound upon your attacker! what do you want to learn??"

Scarlet saw Allyssa falling trough the window. 'She interesting' she thought She observed Lily and Allie go talk with the girl but right when she was going to say hi to Alyssa Professor McGonal appeared and she decided to seat back and say hi later.

She followed Allie to the hall .Sadly just them were there. She could see her friend dissapointment.
"Don't worry, just because the aren't here it doesn't mean that they forgot us" Scarlet said trying to calm her down.

Entering the DADA room with Tiff and Ami, Sarah suddenly remembered that they had agreed to meet the other girls in the Great Hall after breakfast. "yeeps" she thought, "Well, we can't go back now, class is about to start! I'll just have to apologize later."

Sorry for being away for so long! >3< @windchill Who's the DADA teacher? @school600 @fjhfjhfjh Ami's still with Dumbledore at the moment (remember...?)
Ami: Professor Dumbledore's office was round and circular (right?). As they entered, Ami noticed there was a phoenix perched on some kind of strange object. It ruffled its feathers and cocked its head.
"Sit, please." Dumbledore said. Ami sat opposite him.
"May I ask you a few questions?" Ami nodded.
"Firstly, what made you attempt -"
"Sir, the Slytherin was bullying someone from my table." Ami blushed. She glanced at the clock. Lessons started in approximately 2 1/2 minutes.
"Oh, don't worry about your lessons, I'll cover up for you." Dumbledore smiled. "Hmm. I would understand that. Where did you learn that hex? You realise you are at a very advanced level for a first-year?"
Ami fidgeted uncomfortably. Then she poured out all the information about her past, and her parents. When she finished, Dumbledore got up and walked to a tall cabinet. Then he took out a huge folder.
"Do you know who your grandparents were, Ami?" Ami shook her head.
"Your family goes way back to the 1700s. They were known as Stricts. They were strict, and were perfect in almost every way. Of course, not all of them turned out like that, but most of them did." He glanced at Ami.
"Alright, I guess you had better go to Defence Against the Dark Arts now." After Ami was outside, she sighed with relief. Now there was a new problem. How was she going to get to the classroom?

After a quick stop at the kitchens, McGonagall took Alyssa to the headmaster's office, lecturing her on the rules every step of the way. "Dumbledore, Miss Greene here arrived late by way of a window," she informed curtly.
"Is that so?" His eyes twinkled. "I suppose you'll be in need of Sorting, then?"
Alyssa shrugged. "I guess."
With a flick of his wand, the old hat settled over her ears. "You are the bold one, aren't you?" it mused in her ear. "Gryffindor might be a good fit, and yet... You're not quite brash for the sake of brash. It's more of a mask you wear... and you certainly have big goals for your future. I think I'll put you in SLYTHERIN!" it announced in a booming voice, ignoring its current location in a small room.
When her ears stopped ringing, Alyssa pulled the hat off. "Slytherin, huh?"
Dumbledore glanced at the Sorting Hat. "I suppose so." With a whisk of his wand, Alyssa was in robes and looked much more presentable, a timetable in her hand. "Now why don't you go to your first class? I'm sure dear Professor McGonagall can show you the way to Potions."

Tiff was already starting to burst out of her skin. She felt the same way as Sarah.
"Who do we have DADA with?" Tiff asked Sarah.

Ami: She finally found the classroom. Luckily it hadn't started yet. She slipped into a seat next to Tiff and Sarah. She just heard Tiff asking "Who do we have DADA with?"
"Hufflepuff, I think." she replied. Professor [insert professor's name] instructed them to take out their wands.
"We are going to start with defence - the shield charm. Now repeat after me: Protego!" "Protego! (children's echo)" "Now deflect my spells!"
After a couple of Hufflepuffs, it was Ami's turn. Professor [...] cast Cantis (spell that causes the victim to burst uncontrollably into song). I deflected it with so much force it knocked him/her of his/her feet.
"Why..." he/her spluttered, standing up. "That was quite a strong charm, thought no need to be so!" Ami gave an embarrassed smile. Why did she have to be so tense? She had to relax. Hogwarts was the safest place in the world. Right?

The door creaked obnoxiously open, and Alyssa poked her head into the room. The greasy-haired professor at the front of the room narrowed his eyes at her. "Late again, are you?"
"I was being Sorted," she defended.
He sneered. "I suppose you've come as a Gryffindor? That fall of yours was certainly idiotic enough to qualify, Greene."
She stepped fully into the room, displaying the green accents on her robe. Closing the door behind her, she replied, "No, Professor," and took private pleasure in his expression.

*************************************** Lily sat beside Ruby in Potions when Alyssa walked in. She was wearing green on her robes and Lily thought, "Well here's another Slytherin. That doesn't matter does it?"
She heard Proffessor asking her what class she was in and then looking appaled when he got his answer. Lily exchnged scilent giggles before returning to the lesson.
"Today we shall be making a drought of peace. Who can tell me what this potion is?" Proffessor Snape checked his register. "Hazel."
Lily answered a little shakily, "I'm not really sure...but is it something to do with having peace in the world?"
The class seered. "Silly girl. Of course not. That's 10 points from Gryffindor for not knowing an answer. Let's ask someone worthier than you."
Tears swelled up in Lily's eyes and her hands began to shake.
"How about Waters?" Proffessor asked the boy sitting two rows in front of Lily. The boy answered, "Everyone knows Proffessor."he looked back to Lily and said, "Well certainly not everyone. The Drought of Peace is a Sleeping Potion."
"Very good, Waters. That's 20 points to Slytherin."
As the Proffessor said this, Will, who was sitting next to Lily a desk away, took out his wand with his eyes narrowed at Snape. Lily was now silently crying and shaking. It just wasn't fair.

Ami wondered how the Gryffindors were getting on with the Slytherins. (She doesn't know about Alyssa yet.) She noticed a strange marking on the floor. Two initials. Ami squinted. W... A? (I just made that up randomly.) Very interesting.

Scarlet tried to reassure Allie that the others haven't forgotten them. She was still a bit disappointed, but at least Scarlet was there.

They made their way down to the dungeons for potions class.
Lily was there! She was sitting with Ruby. Allie went to table on the left side of them, gesturing Scarlet to take a seat beside her.

Then the class started. Professor Snape didn't have a chance to say much, when the door creaked open and Alyssa walked in. Allie didn't like the fact that professor made fun of her, and Gryffindor too, but then it was revealed that Alyssa was a Slytherin! Oh, the expression on Snapes face...

When Snapes attempt to bully Alyssa went awry, he moved his interest to Lily, demanding an answer to his earlier question. She didn't know.

'That was way unfair! This is just our first class...' Allie thought angrily and reached over to comfort Lily, who was by now crying.

Then Allie noticed a boy next table from Lily taking out his wand, eyes narrowed at Snape.

''Lily!'' She whispered a little panickedly, pointing at the boy. Was he really going to curse a professor?

She saw the boy taking his wand and Allie whispering to Lily.

"Oh no that's not a good" Scarlet whispered to Allie "Snape is very skilled"

Lily was watching Will horrorstruck. Allie was pointing at him and Alyssa was staring.
"Hunt? Do you have a problem?" asked Snape.
"Yes. Yes I do, *proffesser*" replied Will. Lily tried to calm him down but his eyes were set on the smirking Proffessor and his gang of Slytherins.
"Please, please don't." whispered Lily. "I can't watch." Will shoved his wand angrily in his pocket, his chocolate eyes still narrowed. As Snape resumed his drowl about the potion, Lily saw Kile turn around and mouth "mudblood." to her. "Just great." thought Lily "My first lesson and I already have an enemy, a proffessor that hates me and an eerie attention from both houses. How am I supposed to survive the others?"

Ruby had been in the shadows and depths of the class for a long time, she didn't want to be a Snape's favorite since she was in Sytherin. But with Lily by her side being a Gryffindor she wouldn't be one. At least that was looking on the bright side...
So she avoided to take sides and remain silent and neutral.

The DADA teacher turned to Sarah next, and shot a spell at her. Sarah yelled, "PROTEGO!" and the spell bounced back and hit the professor, causing his/her facial hair to grow alarmingly fast. Fixing the jinx, he/she moved on to the next person.

Ami: I covered my mouth with my hand. The Professor had looked hilarious. After 4 more Hufflepuffs, the Professor told us to sit down.
"Now, someone answer this question for me. In what situation would you need to use this spell?" Wasn't that a bit easy? Ami raised her hand.
"Yes, Miss Kataran?"
"When you need to deflect a spell, or in other words, always (in a duel that is)."
"Correct. Alright, class dismissed."

"Hazel, Lily? What is this supposed to be?" asked Proffessor Snape, standing over her and smirking at her cauldron. Trying hard not to look as though she was hurt she answered, "The Drought of Peace, proffessor."
"Tell me, Hazel. What colour is this potion supposed to be? Read me the third line."
Lily looked at the board and read plainly, "After stirring the Drought 3 times clockwise, your potion must be a bright blue colour." Lilly blushed.
Snape's eyes seemed to gleam with a sly pleasure. "What did you do?"
"I stirred it anticlockwise, proffessor."
"Tut tut. Look at Bastille, Hazel. Her potion is exactly the right colour. That's another 20 points to Slytherin. Your solution of a bubblegum pink is not acceptable. Take 10 points from Gryffindor. What about Greene?" Snape said to the whole class. Alyssa looked up. Her solution was a yellow colour.
"Ah, well." said Proffessor Snape. "These things can happen. Take 10 points to Slytherin for trying, Greene."
"WHAT?!" Lily thought.

Snape was through the cauldrons and checking the potions. He took more 10 points from Griffindor because Lily's potion was pink and when he saw Alyssa's potion it was yellow and he gave Slytherin 10 points because she tried.

Scarlet smarked by all this situation, and sadly professor noticed it.
"What is your name Griffindor girl?" he asked "I'm Scarlet Scherzinger Professor" "Huum what a surprise a Slytherin family having a Griffindor daughter, 10 more points took from Gryffindor because of disrespect" he spoke but Scarlet was very unhappy and end up inventing a lie "but Professor I was smirking because my potion is the right color" Snape faced her very serious and then the blue potion "hum 10 points to Griffindor because of the right potion" Scarlet was reliefed that he believed her

After judging Scarlets potion, Snape then sauntered over to Allie. He examined the potion for a long time.

'Why is he looking at it so long, the color is just right...' Allie wondered, sweating a little. Snape is scary...

''I presume you powdered your aconite? Why?'' Snape suddenly asked.

''I thought it would free it's qualities better that way.'' Allie answered, surprisingly steady, even though on the inside she felt like she would faint soon.

Professor Snape gave her a stern look.
''Good thinking. 15 points to Gryffindor. But in the future do not assume you can do that with every ingredient. In some cases it is dangerous. Class is dismissed!''

With shaky hands Allie collected her bag and walked out of the room, legs feeling quite wobbly too. In reality she hadn't really thought about powdering that aconite... She had just done it, by instinct. She had used to cook at home, and her mom had taught her to powder the spices, that way they released more flavor. So when she had picked up the aconite, it had looked a lot like basilica, and she just automatically powdered it.

Sighing with relief, Allie dug out her timetable.
''Lily, Scarlet, we have herbology next, with Hufflepuffs! It'll start after 15 minutes, do either of you know where we should go?''
She asked, turning to look at the girls.

Lily was wondering out of the class behind Allie and Scarlett. She was daydreaming when Allie asked something about Herbology.
"Huh? Sorry what did you say?" Lily asked snapping back into focus. Scarlett stared at her and Allie repeated her question. "Herbology? Isn't that..."
"In the greenhouses." Someone said. Lily turned to see Will. "What? You asked, I answered. Problem?"
"What? There's no problem. Thank you." replied Lily. Allie pointed to small green houses a few kilometres away. "Those must be where we need to go"
"Scarlett? Allie? Where's the rest of Gryffindor house?" asked Lily.
"Er, Lily?" Scarlett was pointing to the group of students already lined up against the greenhouses.
"Oh no!" thought Lily. "Girls lets run!"
Lily, Scarlett and Allie were soon at the back of the queue panting and clutching their stitches. Somehow, Will was at the front of the queue.
"Wait a minute..." thought Lily. "Wasn't he standing next to me when..." Lily trailed off. No one was listening.
"Sorry, what did you say?" asked Scarlett.
"Nothing." sighed Lily in reply. She heard a female voice at the front say, "Come on in. Please don't touch anything. That's right." and she was soon standing inside the greenhouse ready for the lesson. There were tables and Lily sat next to a Hufflepuff she didn't know. She had black hair tied into a ponytale and brown eyes. As Lily put her bag down, the girl said, "Oh, hi! I'm Helen Satira. Nice to meet you. Are'nt the greenhouses lovely?"
"Yes, they are. I'm Lily Hazel." Lily replied. "What do you think we will be doing in Herbology?"
"No idea, but I hope not any mandrakes. A mandrakes cry is fatal. A boy last year was sent to see Proffessor Sprout. He came in at the wong moment:the moment when the Proffessor was repotting a mandrake. He lost his hearing and to this day he never hears anyone and has to have private sign language lessons." Helen shivered. "Don't make me say it again."
"I won't." Lily herself was doubting the lesson and shivering. She noticed a strange pot beside her with a flower in it. It looked perfectly normal so Lily decided to sniff it. And that was it. She felt herself collapse and fall off her chair before she knew no more...
...
Lily could hear a moaning. She wanted to help whoever it was in pain but she couldn't : her limbs felt heavy and she was tired.
"Is she alright? Will she live? What's happened?"
"What?"
"Lily!"
Voices comeing from all directions. More moaning.
"Aah! How couldn't I realise? It's all my fault!"
"Now now, students. This can happen. Out of the way!"
More moaning. Lily felt someone lift her arm and feel for a pulse. She didn't know why. More moaning. "Seriously? Can't I help whoever it is?" she thought. More moaning. Suddenly, Lily realised that the person that was in so much pain was her...
