You pay the shopkeeper 510,455 EC and receive your Mystery Egg.


You eagerly wait for this egg to hatch... it begins to crack.

You wait a bit longer for the egg to hatch. It opens. Much to your surprise, it appears to be an unfertilized egg. You get upset with the shopkeeper and feel gipped out of the deal.

You get even angrier and demand your Egg Coins back. The shopkeeper sheepishly agrees but doesn't give you a full refund. Instead he gives you only 178,659 EC. You are still really upset but think that it's better than nothing.

You consider coming back in the future to see if another egg hatches successfully but you have your doubts about this place.

@wigglytuff That would be something, but without him to run the thief shop we wouldn't get any eggs at all - fake or real. Not sure that would be much better. I like the thief shop! xD

@silverserpent maybe like something else would happen? Like eggs would be cheaper and expensive eggs have a higher chance of being real.

I wonder if the Dilloton isn't still bugged though. I don't think a single one has been found yet and it should be as good as statistically impossible for there to not have been at least one caught by now. ☹️

The egg cracks and appears to hatch... but a slimy, non-living object is located within. It's not a real creature but some weird inanimate object! You feel tricked by the shopkeeper and yell saying, "These eggs are supposed to contain real creatures and not stuffed with random items!"

You consider coming back in the future to see if another egg hatches successfully but you have your doubts about this place.

The egg continues to rumbles and eventually hatches after more waiting. The creature survives for about 4 minutes but doesn't make it.

You threaten the shopkeeper and say, "If you don't refund me for this scam, I'll turn you into the Town Hall!" The shopkeeper becomes very apologetic and fearful but only returns 190,413 EC. You decide it's enough to keep you quiet... for now.

@silverserpent at least they returned some ec :/ hehe, maybe next time. I wish there were less fake eggs, I've seen four and bought them all. All were duds and more than 500kec. ☹️ Some I didn't get refund at all for...hehe it would be kinda funny if one day a site blog post is like: The Thief shop master has been arrested!!! Lol

@crown I agree, less fake eggs would be nice. I've lost track of how many I've gotten during the years. And I don't want to think about all the EC I've lost. xD
When you actually do get something real from an egg it's a great feeling though. Keeps me hunting and always hoping. :')

And yeah, it pains me to say that in my months here I've already lost over 2 mil to duds ;v; but then there's the Shawloot I got so can't complain really....hey when do ya think someone will get a Dilloton? Seems like they're never going to come...unless another TS creature is discovered 😊

I honestly think the Dilloton is bugged. It should be statistically impossible for there to still be no Dilloton found by now. Something must be wrong with it. :/

You threaten the shopkeeper and say, "If you don't refund me for this scam, I'll turn you into the Town Hall!" The shopkeeper becomes very apologetic and fearful but only returns 9,054 EC. You decide it's enough to keep you quiet... for now.

I also feel like the Dilloton is bugged. It's been almost a year since the Dillon was released....https://eggcave.com/blog/the-dilloton?page=1 The Shawloot was released just a bit earlier than Dilloton and dozens of those have been found :/

Anyone trying bringing this to the attention of a mod?
