@dada_dragon ~~~Vladan didn't react, even when Kita collapsed. However, his aim had shifted from the woman to Puppet. He took his time as he staggered over to the fallen enabled. Vladan stopped when he was standing by the shot man. He ignored Kita's weak words as he slowly stepped over her body."Don't test me." He said as he moved the gun down towards Puppet. BANG.The man didn't stop there. Vladan repeatedly pulled the trigger, until he couldn't anymore. There was loud clicking, and Vladan tossed the gun aside. He was out of bullets.
dada_dragon • 28 April 2016 at 5:03 PM
Kita was barely aware of what was going on around her anymore. She heard the clicking of a spent gun. Was it Vladan? Was it Russell? She had no idea. How had she gotten herself involved in this? Vladan... Why had he... She could sense him nearby. She could no longer feel Puppet's energy... He was gone... But Russell..."Vla... Dan... Russell... Look... Out..."She couldn't tell if he could hear her. Nothing seemed real.@bunnyshadow

Skyler got up bored. "I guess I'll come back later." She said to herself. She dug a deep hole and buried the suitcase in it, she memorized where it was. She began walking and after a while she froze when she saw Kita and vladan fighting some people. "What the [yeep]!" She exclaimed. "Are you guys ok!? What's going on here?"@dada_dragon @bunnyshadow

@dada_dragon ~~~He could barely hear Kita's weak words through the roaring of his crimson rage. Vladan turned, but it was already too late. The sharp bang from Russel's gun echoed through the air. His chest felt unbelievably warm, but he choose to ignore it. Vladan forced himself to step forwards, even though it felt like he was walking through water. There was another shot, and Vladan staggered slightly at the sight of his blood splashing across the grass. "You..." He trailed off, before moving quickly. Vladan heard one more bang, and he felt the bullet tearing through his shirt and into his arm. "Won't... Win." The man howled angrily, jumping onto Russel as he did so.The two men rolled on the ground, and several other gunshots rang through the air. Vladan's ears rang from the noise, but he ignored it as he directed a punch straight towards Russel's face. The man knocked the gun out of Russel's hands, before grabbing the other man around the neck in a choke hold. Vladan shook Russel, knocking the other man's head against the ground until there was no more movement. Even after Russel had stopped moving, Vladan didn't make a move to stand until...There were sirens, and he could spot the familiar flash of red and blue in the distance. "No... Time..." Vladan hauled the passed out Russel over his shoulder, before rushing over to his car and opening the trunk. The man threw Russel in, before heading back over and dragging Puppet towards the vehicle as well. The second man met a similar fate, as Vladan closed the trunk over the bodies. He let out a heavy breath before turning towards Kita. The man didn't care anymore, the sirens were wailing even louder now. They would arrive in a matter of minutes, if not seconds. He lifted Kita up in an all too familiar style, much like how he did the first day he had met her.Vladan opened the passenger door, before attempting to put her down without jostling her too much. He headed around and stepped in the driver's seat before...It shouldn't have been a priority but.... The man ran towards Russel's totaled car, smashing open the lock of the trunk with the butt of the gun he picked from off the ground. He hurriedly transferred the money filled briefcases into the car, tossing them individually into the back seat. One of them cracked open, and money littered the ground of his car. Vladan stepped on the gas, closing the door only after the car had begun speeding down the road. He could see the police in his rear-view mirror, and he urged his car onwards.

Kita could feel herself being lifted and moved, but not much else. Was she dead? She had no clue."You were a pretty terrible friend." She mumbled, not totally coherent. "But you were alright on violin."She was still breathing... That meant she was alive, right?"Dawn was pretty great... She saved that one girl... Didn't actually learn her name... And the twin... They were twins, right?... She saved the other girl."Kita closed her eyes."You're not so bad... Vladan."@bunnyshadow
bunnyshadow • 28 April 2016 at 7:57 PM
@dada_dragon~~~With little to no complaint, Dawn transported One back to the mansion. She had little to no medical history, but she did know who she could call up to help. The woman dialed the number. "Willow?" She questioned. "I need some heavy help." Dawn said. "You owe me one, especially for landing you your job. This is your chance to pay me back. Where are you?"Dawn paused as she listened in. "I'll be right there." The woman threw a few blankets over One, hoping that it would help more than harm the girl, before transporting away.--Vladan swerved down the street, ignoring the blood pooling in his seat. What he couldn't ignore was Kita's semi-conscious words."You're not so bad... Vladan."--He knocked on Kirah's door, awkwardly hiding the large bouquet of roses behind his back. She opened the door, and he couldn't help but smile, though she quickly shut the door so that there was only a crack left."Don't look!" She said in embarrassment. "I'm not ready yet, I have no make-up on!" Vladan shoved his foot through the crack, forcing it open."You're beautiful with or without makeup." He mumbled as he held the flowers out to her. Kirah sighed, but her eyes sparkled with joy."Even though you totally stalked me for the longest time..." Kirah trailed off, laughing at Vladan's large frown at her words."You're not so bad, Vladan." She said.--Vladan ignored Kita as the familiar trees that signaled the proximity of his house sped by in a blur. His vision was getting misty, but he wasn't sure if it was from Kita's words, the situation he was in, or the events that had occurred. He pulled up in the driveway, pausing slightly for several deep breaths as he parked clumsily outside the house. He could feel his breathing slow, and the man forced his door open.He headed around to the other side, before opening Kita's door. "Come on..." The man forced himself to say, as he reached in to pick her up.It would be a lie if he said he didn't almost drop her. He forced himself to move forwards, ignoring the burn in his eyes and the blood on his hands. Vladan had to use all his strength to force the door open and he put her down roughly on the couch. One was there, he noticed absentmindedly before collapsing against the wall."Vladan?" Dawn? He opened his mouth to speak, but he couldn't force the woman's name out. A dark haired woman trailed after the blonde, and he recognized her almost immediately."Wil... low..." He managed to force out. "Kita.. First."

Everything seemed to be happening a million miles away. She could hear voices, but they were distorted, as if she was hearing them from underwater. She could feel herself being moved around, but it was like she was floating...Consciousness was a fleeting thing, and she was having trouble distinguishing what was real... Was she really shot? Probably, but there was no pain, so maybe not. Had Vladan killed her? She didn't know. Everything surrounding that was a blur. What was going to happen now? Would James ever find out? Maybe he would think she'd just abandoned him... Found another man... Forgotten those evenings up on the rooftops eating crappy, cheap gas station food and talking about their futures as if they actually had futures. She was so cold...@bunnyshadow

@dada_dragon ~~~Willow placed a cold hand on Kita's sweating forehead. She glanced over at Dawn, hesitating slightly at the blonde woman's intent stare. Her hands reached under Kita's shirt, and she felt around for the wound. Willow placed her fingers inside the hole, feeling around for the bullet. Luckily, it was near the surface. "Dawn?" Willow questioned, before thanking the other woman for handing her a thin knife from Vladan's kitchen. She stared at Kita's face, hoping that she had blacked out enough so that she wouldn't be able to feel the operation. With only a slight pause, Willow used the knife to dig out the bullet. "Sorry..." She muttered under her breath. The woman placed the bullet on the table, before placing her hands over the wound. She didn't need to look to already know her powers were working perfectly fine. It took a minute for the wound to close over, and Willow wiped her bloodied hands on her doctor's coat.Dawn had pulled her out during the middle of an operation, but where a favor was due, Willow could not refuse. She made to turn towards Vladan's dark form leaning against the wall. A bit hesitant to help him, she stood slowly. "What are you waiting for?" Came Dawn's annoyed tone."I don't owe him anything." Willow muttered, before noticing a pink hue at Kita's shoulders. Burn marks? The woman rubbed a hand over her skin, watching as her flesh returned to a healthy peachy glow. What else had Vladan gotten Kita into? How long until Vladan's mere presence would cause Kita's death?"You owe ME something." Dawn nearly screamed. Willow turned to see the other woman storming over, but she ignored Dawn's presence as she placed her fingers over Kita's wrist.Rope burn."I don't care." Willow stated carelessly. "I can help her, but I refuse to even touch him." She said, motioning towards One's form."There's nothing wrong with her! She's fine, just tired from overuse of powers.""That's what you think. What do you know of health?"Dawn opened her mouth to speak, but couldn't. "Nothing..." She finally admitted.
dada_dragon • 28 April 2016 at 11:58 PM
"Willow..."Kita was coming to, still out of it, but conscious enough to vaguely understand the situation. She held out her hand to Willow, pulling herself to a seated position."Let me do it... You might not owe him... But I do."She looked over at Vladan, slumped over against the wall."He saved my life, Willow... Let me help him..."He'd also tried to end her life, but that was Puppet's fault... Kita cringed at the memory of Puppet's touch."Please, Willow..."@bunnyshadow
bunnyshadow • 29 April 2016 at 12:42 AM
@dada_dragon ~~~"No." Willow said, backing away from Kita before she would even touch her. The woman found herself backing into Dawn, before attempting to sidestep her."Are you insane?" Willow screamed. "You've helped him enough already!" She yelled. "Do you not remember what happened last time?"--Willow could feel Kita's hand wrapped around her ankle. She could feel nothing but a weird loss of energy for a split second. Kita was mimicking Willow, and she complied. The woman could see Kita as she focused on Vladan. It looked familiar. Willow wondered fleetingly if that was what she looked like when she had first begun to use her power. Scared, alone, and unknowing of the looming consequences that she had to face. She caught the heavy rise and fall of Kita's chest, watching as she collapsed on top of Vladan's form. She could hear the other woman force out a few fleeting words, but Willow was already out and running."I'm sorry, Kita."--"I'm not letting you!" Willow screamed out in a panic. She struggled to leave the room, but Dawn held on to her tightly. "Let me go!" Willow screamed.
dada_dragon • 29 April 2016 at 12:56 AM
Kita gave her a look of confusion."What do you mean 'last time'?" she asked. She stood up, still shaky, but determined."Willow, if I don't do something, he'll die." she said. She walked up to Willow, who was being restrained by Dawn, hesitating, before touching her arm."Willow, I know how you feel about Vladan... He's terrible. He's selfish. He's gotten himself mixed up in a lot of illegal crap. I get it." she said. "But..."She mimicked Willow."I've seen the good in him." The broken soul who lost his girlfriend...The petulant little kid who liked getting his way, because that was what he'd come to expect...The guy who got so excited over playing one correct note on violin...She smiled. "He just needs a bit more time."@bunnyshadow

@dada_dragon ~~~Willow stopped her struggle, pausing at Kita's words. She remained silent through the ordeal, not knowing what to say until... "It's not the same." Willow said suddenly. "You can't get back what you've lost and given up." She pulled out of Dawn's grasp. The woman felt her wrist being grabbed by Dawn, and she turned to see the other woman motioning towards One. "Fix her instead." The other woman said bluntly. "Since you refuse to fix him." --Everything was black. Vladan couldn't feel his own body, but he did feel himself floating around in some sort of void. He closed his eyes, but he couldn't dredge up any memories. The darkness faded into dull light, as a failing lightbulb lit up the cramped closet. He could hear someone entering the house. The little boy had expected it every night."Vladan!"He heard her voice, and flinched. Vladan hugged his knees tighter, forcing himself to stay quiet. The door was slammed open, and the silhouette of a drunken figure blocked out what little light flooded in from the hall."Why are you hiding from me?" She screamed. "Don't you care about me?" He backed up into the corner, curling up into a tiny ball from her screaming."No." He whispered, but she had heard. Vladan expected the hand that came crashing down upon him, but it didn't stop the pain.It never did.

Kita knew Vladan wasn't going to last much longer... His breathing was shallow, his eyes were empty, and when she pulled back his jacket, she could see that he had been hit not just once, but several times, straight through. She placed her hands on his torso, feeling each labored, choking breath he took. She focused on fixing him. She needed to save him...She couldn't breathe. It was as though someone had covered her mouth and nose, depriving her of air. The shock of it jarred her.She suddenly understood what Willow had said... She could remember the first time... She remembered the terrible cost that came with this power. She could stop now... Did Vladan really deserve her help? Surely...Heroes or not, we can still save lives. We're human... that's what matters.James' voice echoed in her head. Maybe it would kill her... she didn't know what would happen...But he was dying... and she could save him.She felt the skin covering up the wounds... She felt his breath get steadier and his pulse grow stronger... but at the same time, she felt her heart pound, desperate for oxygen... she felt her pulse race and her chest burn with pain. It was worse than the first time, but she knew she was nearly done. She just had to keep it up a little longer...She let go, gasping for air. She looked down at him... he was healed... She had done it... she...She fell to the floor, shaking violently. The pain... it was unlike anything she had ever felt. It was as though some animal had torn off a large piece of her... This was nothing like the first time...@bunnyshadow

@dada_dragon ~~~He could hear footsteps and voices. There were loud cracks as the last of Torch's fires sparked in the cold night air. He tried to move, but found that there were large chunks of wood and peeling plaster clinging onto his body. His hand felt around under the rubble, and through it all, Teiv managed to uncover his mask. He pushed it on over his face, before forcing the collapsed pieces of building off his body. It was dark, but he managed to make out a dozen or so police cars, a firetruck, and a ton of policemen encircling the area. Teiv sat up in the rubble, forcing his wobbly feet to hold still as he pulled his cloak over his body. There were at least a dozen bullet holes dotting the surface of his dark clothing, but it didn't matter. Teiv stuck his hand under the wood, grimacing as he received several long cuts from the the stray metals beneath the broken planks. He stopped his search when he heard some yelling not so far away from him. A flashlight shone on his covered face, and Teiv bolted. "Stop!" He heard an officer yell. "Freeze!"The man continued sprinting away, ignoring the gunshots that followed his retreading steps. Teiv let out a grunt when he felt something sharp enter his shoulder. He darted down the street, and turned a corner swiftly, but not before getting shot again--this time in the ankle.Teiv forged onward, ignoring the blooming pain as he threw his weight on his other leg. He hefted himself through the window of a abandoned building, grunting slightly as he hit the ground with a light thud. The man needed a second to recover. He sat with his legs thrown in front of him, and Teiv bent his ankle closer in his direction. Teiv could here footsteps as the officers ran by outside, but he ignored the police as he stared intently on his ankle.Soon enough, his skin coughed up the bullet as it stitched itself together. A trail of blood swept down from beneath the window, but he didn't need to check to know the shoulder wound had healed itself too. With new found energy, Teiv hopped to his feet. He moved towards the back of the building, exiting quietly through the back door. A mess of charred trees decorated the hill, and the man decided to head up.Suddenly, there was a loud bang. The bullet whizzed by his head, and Teiv booked it once again. He pushed past the scorched branches, keeping low in the underbrush. However, he didn't expect the 2 large bulges on the ground, and Teiv tripped over one of them. He turned in panic, crawling backwards in surprise when...Jade? The man's expression was one of surprise when he caught sight of the woman's face. The man rushed over to the other body, and found that it was the familiar hooded figure of one of the twins.Teiv heard cracking as the officers gave chase through the trees. A helicopter took flight in the distance, and without a second thought, the man hauled the twin over his shoulder, before picking up Jade's body.He turned towards the more densely packed trees, and pushed through the brush, ignoring the pain of the thorns jabbing past his cloak and into his skin.It would be fine.Blood leaked from his hand as an especially sharp branch cut into his skin. Teiv ignored the wound, and soon enough the skin began to regenerate on it's own.It would be fine.--Willow knelt down besides one, pausing as she pulled at One's hood. "May I?" The woman asked Dawn hesitantly. The blonde nodded stiffly, though she did turn away after giving Willow the green light to continue. She pulled the hood back, releasing One's ebony hair over her chest. Willow noticed how unnaturally pale she was, but that was something the woman couldn't fix. Willow ignored Kita's labored breathing as she focused on healing One. Her condition wasn't terrible, only several cuts here and there. Willow let out a sharp gasp when the twin reached up and grabbed her by the wrist. One sat up and stared at Willow, and the woman bit her lips uncomfortably under One's piercing white gaze.Dawn turned back, before clearing her throat noisily. "Put on your hood, I don't want to see that." She muttered. "Your eyes freak me out."One complied as she pulled the cloth over her face once again, allowing the shade given by the hood to shadow her blank gaze. There was a short pause, before One uttered 3 words."Where's my sister?"

Kita felt like her heart was about to burst open. Pain wracked her body, hitting her hard with wave after wave of unimaginable pain.I fixed him... He'll be okay... He's alive...Not even the self-reminder that she'd done it for Vladan did her any good. She curled up on the floor, still shaking. She wished she could just pass out like last time. She had said she was ready to die to save Vladan... Had she known the pain...No... She still might have done it.She could taste something metallic in her mouth. @dada_dragon ~~~One clung to Dawn's wrist, having stood and made it over to the woman with a few shaky steps. "Where is my sister?" Dawn hesitated at the question, and attempted to pull out of the girl's grasp. "Don't touch me." She said in irritation as she attempted to change the subject."Where is my sister?"Dawn ripped her wrist free. Her admittance came swiftly, and her words carried no condolences. "I don't know." The woman said bluntly. "Go find her."--Willow had backed out of the room as soon as Dawn and Zoe began to raise their voices at each other. She wondered fleetingly if it was her fault that Kita had to give herself up to Vladan once again. The woman filled an empty glass up with water, before peering back into the large living room.--"Take me back to the warehouse." One demanded coldly. However, Dawn's reply was quick, and comprised of immediate refusal."I said... Take me back to the warehouse." The girl's voice rose to a high pitch scream, and Dawn released a heavy sigh."I'll take you there, but I won't be staying."--Willow knelt down besides Kita as she placed a hand lightly on the other woman's shoulder. She reached out towards Kita's face, holding out the glass of water she had just filled."Drink this."
dada_dragon • 29 April 2016 at 12:09 PM
Kita drank from the glass. It was a small comfort, but she appreciated it."It hurts..." She managed to say. "It didn't hurt before..."She wiped the blood and water from her lips."Please don't be too hard on Vladan when he wakes up." She said, pulling herself into a seated position against the wall across from Vladan. "I'm sorry... I know you didn't heal me just to have me give my life away again... And I know you don't approve, but..."She laughed self-mockingly."I guess I'm just an idiot hero after all." She said, remembering James' words.James..."Look, I don't want you healing me again, but you're a doctor, right? I just want to know how bad it is."@bunnyshadow
bunnyshadow • 29 April 2016 at 12:33 PM
@dada_dragon ~~~"How bad what is?" Willow asked, slightly puzzled at her question. "Are you wondering about the pain? Or the other part of it?" The woman wrung her hands uncomfortably. The mansion had grown unusually silent once One and Dawn had gone away, and she wondered fleetingly how Kita could give up so much to someone that seemed to have given her little."If you're talking about the pain, it's not too unbearable once you get used to it. I still feel it when I work, but I force it aside. It's hard to notice the pain when my fear is bubbling up in my body..." She pursed her lips. "I've never been a fan of blood and gore." Willow mentioned. "In fact, I can't stand the sight of it, and I visibly cringe whenever I work with patients, but I manage.""As for the other part...." The woman trailed off. "It's bad." She stated, though provided no further explanation.
dada_dragon • 29 April 2016 at 1:29 PM
Kita rested her head on her knees."There's a downside to this power too..." She said, trying to stop the shaking. "It doesn't cost me my life, but... My body just wasn't built for it..."She looked back up at Willow."My boyfriend... He used to help with the side effects. He's a healer too... Not quite at your level, but it was enough." She sighed. "These powers we have... They're incredible... And our bodies adapt to their usage... Sometimes it's almost a power in its own right... A physical adaptation to cope with the power... But that's something I can't copy."She took another drink of water, spilling more than she managed to get in her mouth."It's not always huge... A three minute drop in body temperature isn't much of a cost to have ice powers, but... I don't think I should mimic your power anymore..." She closed her eyes. "With the already present cost, it's one thing... But I don't think my body could handle much more of it..."She smiled. "But I know you wouldn't want me to anyways, so I guess it's kind of a moot point, right?"She stood up, unsteadily and walked towards the door."I'm going to go lie down for a bit... Tell Vladan there's leftovers in the fridge... He's bound to be hungry."@bunnyshadow

@dada_dragon ~~~"Enjoy your rest." Willow said. The woman glanced out the window, and noticed that the darkness was giving way to a lighter, baby blue. "It's nearly day." She paused as she looked over towards the man's sleeping(?) form.--Teiv's pace had slowed significantly since the chase had first begun. He was beginning to tire... And along with the dead weight, he was lagging a lot more than he wanted to. The man stopped as he made a sharp turn to the left. There were lights shining in the distance.Teiv wondered if he was nearing civilization. He broke through the brush--only to come face to face with several officers. The man glanced out, and spotted a totally destroyed blue car. Blood splattered the grass, and caution tape lined the area."Hey you! What are you--" The officer that spotted him pulled out his pistol when it dawned upon him. "An enabled! The other team spotted him in the rubble, shoot him down!"Teiv turned towards the trees once again, but it was too late. Crimson sprayed across the grass, yet Teiv couldn't feel any pain.It wasn't him that got shot. The man dropped Jade on the floor. There was no hope for her left, and she had only grown heavier as more time passed. How many hours had he carried her?At least the little girl was much lighter. Teiv supposed being small had its upsides after all. The officers paused in surprise at the man's sudden abandonment of the woman, and he took that moment to dart back into the forest once again.

Kita couldn't sleep. She had tried several times, but every time she did, she was woken by nightmares...Torch's fire... Puppet's touch... Russell's grip around her throat... They all cycled through her sleeping brain like angry, hateful dragons. She sat up.The pain was slowly fading to a dull ache, but the fatigue and weakness from going so long without food and rest were catching up to her... And she couldn't hope to satisfy the latter...She sat on the bed, hugging her knees. She wished more than anything that James were here... to hold his hand like she always used to...Would he be ashamed of her? She had promised to stay out of things... To stay safe... But Vladan... Why couldn't she just give up on him? He was a criminal... He had nearly killed her... He was dangerous...What was she doing? She felt tears hitting her arms. @dada_dragon ~~~Vladan woke with a start. He banged his head against the back of the wall, and grimaced at the loud noise that resulted. "Ouch." He muttered under his breath. With shaky legs, he forced himself to a stand. Using the wall's assistance, and several pieces of furniture, he managed to regain his footing as he ventured into the kitchen. He stepped through the doorway, but let out a sharp grunt when he bumped into somebody."Kita?" He asked. The voice that replied was cold and unmoving. "No." Vladan looked down, recognizing the streaks of red in Willow's hair due to the dull light streaming in through the window. The man reached up his shirt, feeling around on his chest, only to discover that the wounds had all been healed. He tugged at the woman's wrist as she turned to push through the doorway, though he was surprised at how quickly she lashed at him and pulled out of his grip."Thank you..." He muttered."Don't thank me." She said blankly. "Thank Kita."Vladan gave Willow a puzzled look, but was met only with the side of her face. "Look at me." He said in irritation. However, Willow only turned furthur away."She did it, not me." She muttered."What do you mean?""You don't deserve someone like Kita in your life."Vladan grit his teeth in anger at her uncalled for insults. "What are you talking about?" "Kita has saved your life twice now. The first time... When the wolf girl and the other enabled brought me here and you nearly blacked out..." Willow trailed off vaguely, before continuing. "And last night, when she mimiced by powers to fix your wounds." He watched as Willow took a step out towards the hall, but the man grabbed her wrist once again in confusion. "My powers are barely under my control, must less Kita's. She could have died the first and the second time if Kita had been unlucky.""Why didn't you heal me both times?" He questioned, clearly not understanding the situation, in addition to the difficulty and the cost of the usage of Willow's abilities."Because I don't heal the wicked." She wrenched her wrist ouf of Vladan's looose grip, before heading down the hallway. The man made to follow her out, but paused when he saw her turn."There's leftovers in the fridge." Willow's angry words echoed down the corridor, and Vladan stared at her retreading back. "Two times...?" He questioned himself. It was as if Willow's words refreshed the memories that he had sorely forgotten.--He had fallen heavily on the ground, and felt Willow's sharp nails digging into the skin on the back of his neck. Vladan had opened his mouth to protest, but nothing had come out. The man vaguely remembered Kita screaming out a warning, but there was nothing to do.Vladan prided himself for his immunity to pain, but this was something that he definitely felt.It was as if there were a thousand needles impaled into his skin where Willow had grabbed hold of him, and he could do nothing to stop her. The room had faded in and out of his vision, and black spots dotted the roomYes.He remembered it clearly now.It was like Death had wrapped him in a chokehold, and like darkness had decided to make his body it's best friend. Willow's contact with his skin had been so cold, but yet it burned hotter than any fire he had ever had the indecency of touching.Suddenly, the pain had stopped, but the man still couldn't open his eyes. However, he could barely make out the voices in the background. Kita... Threatening to do the same to Willow...That was it... Kita had mimicing abilities... And Willow, she could both give and take life from others.--Vladan opened his eyes. A cold wind blew through the kitchen, and he shivered as the freezing air tickled the back of his neck. The man headed to the fridge, opening it up to find the leftovers that Willow had promised were there. However, instead of reaching for the food, his hand went straight for the bottle of liquor. The man picked it up by the neck, before placing it on the table. He searched for the bottle opener, and felt relief at the sight of it sitting in the cabinet. Vladan popped open the top, and the cap fell on the table with a sharp click. It rolled around for a bit, before collapsing on it's bottom. Vladan went to pick up the bottle for a quick swig when...--The morning light glittered across the surface of the beautiful grand piano. He had remembered standing, having been tempted by the alcohol in his kitchen even though the day had barely begun."Care for a drink?" Vladan had asked her."No. I gave up on that a long time ago. It just makes it worse." Kita said. "How 'bout you try something else." However, when he turned to leave, he was interrupted by the other woman suddenly reaching out with the violin."You said you wanted to learn, right?" Vladan had hesitantly took the instrument, and allowed her to teach him the basics of the violin.--Vladan put the bottle of liquor down, changing his mind on consuming the liquid. Instead, he stood and ventured out of the kitchen...and towards the room that the violin occupied.

Kita stood, taking a good long look in the mirror. She was a mess... Her hair was matted... Her eyes were red and her lids were dark... She looked even more fragile than usual... The physical marks were gone, thanks to Willow, but...She remembered her terror as Puppet moved her around... The way he had held her close to him... It made her skin crawl. It was worse than even Torch...No... Puppet was gone...But he wasn't... Not really...She was about to climb back into the bed, when she heard it... It was halting, hesitant, and slightly out of tune, but...She exited the room, taking short breaks as she went. She arrived at the door to the music room, and peeked in...Vladan... In typical clumsy, awkward fashion, was playing. She watched as he played and re-played each note, trying so hard to get it just right... He was a perfectionist, after all... Always wanting things done the way he wanted...@bunnyshadow

@dada_dragon ~~~Vladan tried again, and this time the string gave off a clear note that rang through the air. The smile that lit up his face was genuine, and his red and gray eyes shone brightly in the rays of sunlight streaming in through the window. He put the violin down, and excitedly gave himself a high-5, letting his childish side of himself show now that he was alone... Or so he thought. The man turned to pick up the instrument once again, but a small movement caught his attention. A pink flush swamped his cheeks, and he awkwardly rubbed the back of his neck. Vladan cleared his throat, forcing the subject change before the subject of his instrumental skills would even be brought up. His gaze sweeped over her body, and Vladan said the only thing he thought to say. "Dear god, you look absolutely terrible." He exclaimed before he could stop himself. Vladan realized what he had said, and quickly added to his statement. However, he wasn't sure if his next words would help or hurt him."Not as terrible as the hundreds of thousands dollar car you destroyed, though."

Kita frowned, sitting down on the piano bench."I don't care." She said, with none of the energy that she usually had. "Buy yourself a new one, rich boy."She didn't know why she was here... What could she possibly have to say to the spoiled, selfish, obnoxious..."Thank you."The words were out before she could really process her thoughts, but she knew that she meant it."You saved my life... Thank you."She couldn't make eye contact... She could barely speak to him through the endless hurricane of emotion she was feeling."Can you... Can you clear me with the police...?" She asked. "There's someone... Someone I need to see right now... I'll come back... I just need to see him..."@bunnyshadow

@dada_dragon ~~~Vladan didn't know what to say to Kita's word of thanks, and he decided to simply just overlook it. But there was a feeling in his heart... It was warm, and her words felt like a fuzzy blanket being thrown over oneself during a snowy winter day. He was knocked out of his revelations, only half hearing her words, but he got the jist of what she was saying."It's already done." He blatantly said. Vladan had made the phone call earlier today, but not that long after Willow had confronted him."Do you want me to take you?" He asked. "As far as I know you don't have a means of travel."

Kita nodded. "I'd appreciate that."She felt drained. The whole ordeal had done a number on her. She was a child playing a child's game. Her powers were nothing... She couldn't help herself and had to rely on Vladan and his companions to save her...To be so completely defeated after thinking herself invincible... It was a crushing blow that she didn't know if she would ever recover from... She felt broken...She needed James..."I'm going to go back home in a few days..." She said quietly. "I'm not cut out for this... I appreciate your hospitality, but... I can't stay..."She looked away. "It's not you... I just can't stay here... I need to be alone..."Away from everything that reminded her of what had happened... @bunnyshadow

@dada_dragon ~~~Vladan didn't bother to reply to Kita's words. It was strange, but for some weird reason, he didn't want her to go. Not only that, he was angered at the fact that she wanted to leave, even after she ruined his car and added another coating of blood over his already crimson fingertips."I'm taking a shower." He said bluntly before leaving the room. He slammed the door shut behind him, but not before throwing a few emotionless words over his shoulder. "Get cleaned up."Vladan headed up to his room, stepping into the shower as he tore off his dirty clothing. "Another ruined suit." He growled. The water hit his back with a cold splash, but he ignored the freezing liquid."Why did it make me so angry?" He questioned himself as he thought back to the events that had happened not too long ago. Puppet making a puppet out of Kita... Making her sad, and clearly very upset...forcing her to do things she didn't want to do.But then again, hadn't he treated her the same way for the past few weeks as well? The man shut off the water and stepped out, pushing his musings aside. Vladan patiently toweled himself off and put on a fresh new suit. He leaned in towards the mirror, and began styling his hair out of his face. The scar that marred his face remained where it had always been, and he put his hand over it in an attempt to cover it up. But like the last few hundred times he had tried, it would remain even when he pulled his hand away.

Kita went back to the room she had been staying in. Out of habit, she reached for the drawer, but stopped herself. Instead she grabbed her old clothes, long since washed. She had felt weird wearing them around such an expensive house, but now...She pulled on her jeans and shirt and zipped up her hoodie. She brushed out her hair and washed her face in the sink. None of it mattered though... In the end, her face betrayed her... She was broken...She stood in the doorway, waiting for Vladan. She sat down, leaning against the wall and closed her eyes. She was exhausted...She felt something stroke her jawline. In a panic, she screamed in terror, which frightened Odilia, who had come over to lick her face. The poor lion ran off, leaving Kita alone to cry.Puppet...He was never going to die...@bunnyshadow

@dada_dragon ~~~Vladan adjusted his tie as he rounded the corner He spotted Odilia nearby, and knelt down to great the cat, but was ignored as the animal headed for Kita instead. The lioness licked the woman's face, and the scream was unexpected. Odilia bolted down the hall, and he stared as tears fell from her eyes. The man pretended to not notice her tears, and he walked by her as he toyed with the car keys. Vladan paused when he stepped up to his signature red vehicle, when the memories of last night tumbled into his mind."Close your eyes..." He mumbled, but was unsure if the woman had heard. The man opened his trunk to reveal Puppet and Russel's hidden bodies. Vladan had remembered throwing them in to make sure the police wouldn't get to it, but the issue now was to figure out where to put them.He picked Russel up and tossed the limp body onto the ground, before doing the same to Puppet. The man gave out a low whistle, and was at least a little glad to see his two dogs prancing out the door and into the driveway. Vladan knelt down and rubbed the duo behind the ears, before motioning at the two bodies."Go now." He commanded. "Take them inside, I'll take care of this when I get home" Vladan muttered, glad that his dogs were well trained enough to understand simple commands like that. He closed the trunk, and headed towards the passenger seat, where drying blood had begun to cake the leather. "What a shame..." He complained as he headed indoors to fetch some towels to clean up the mess. "Can you take the money back inside?" Vladan asked Kita. "It shouldn't be too difficult. Three cases, but one is cracked open--in the back seats. I suppose you can leave the broken one inside if you desire."
