Oak darted forward as the mouse began to move toward a root. It squealed, dashing off, but Oak caught its tail. Lifting it with a fore-claw, he tore through the back of its head. He noticed another mouse squeaking behind the root. Its mate! he bounded forward and shoved his muzzle under the root. It was a narrow gap, and the mouse had the upper ground. Oak snarled. This is pathetic, reaching out with a fore-paw, he hooked the mouse's back and ripped through it.---Ripple curled her lip as she failed to catch the squirrel. But her attention was soon dragged away by a plump vole that was scuffling among the roots of the tree where the squirrel had climbed.

Oak noticed a sparrow hiding in the branches of the tree. Leaping up, his paws just skimmed its tail-feathers. Squawking out cries of laughter, it taunted Oak, flapping its wings and shuffling aside whenever he leaped up with out-stretched paws. {You can tell Oak isn't exactly the very best at hunting xD I just wanna torment him today I don't know why.}---Ripple killed the vole with a swift bite to the neck. Satisfied, she decided to take her fresh-kill back to Cassie. The thrush'll satisfy her.
