"Ah, the hard life of an avian on the run," Raina sighs melodramatically.

Jaela nodded and stuck her lower lip out in a pout. "Could be worse though."

"Yeah. I bet if I didn't meet you guys, I'd still be bathing in dirty water," Raina says.

"Really? What was the area you lived like then?" Lyon asks.

"I lived in a canyon with constant duststorms. it wasn't a eep river, but it was muddy. Only some parts of it were clean and that's where I got my water." Jaela said, finished with her hair.

"Oooh, a canyon, that sounds cool! I lived in a valley, and there was this river, but since it rained a lot the soil from the hills would erode and end up in the water," Raina shivers, "Bath time was a nightmare."

Lyon shivers. "Okay, good enough." He says as he steps out of the water.

Raina observes her feathers and nods in satisfaction. She follows Lyon out of the water and shakes her wings, splashing water over everyone nearby. "Brr, that was sure cold."

"Yeah, it was. Thanks for that." Lyon replies as he wrings the water out of his clothes.

"You're welcome," Raina smiles brightly and proceeds to shake out her wings again.

Jaela splashes her face a few times, then follows them out of the water. "I can't feel my feet now." She said, stomping around the shore in her soaking wet boots. They made little squishing sounds. Ralem paddled to a place where he could touch bottom, then waded out of the water. He shook some slightly muddy water off his wings.

"Yeah, my clothes are all soaked," Raina agrees.

"Me too, but if we start flying, we'll dry off faster." Lyon says.

"Um. Hello, mister dreamer. Wet wings." Jaela waved to him. "Our feathers are little more than spikes with fuzz until they're dry-ish. Well, at least mine are." Ralem shrugged. "We could walk or run around with our wings spread to dry off." He suggested.

Raina looks at her wings, "Same, I don't think I can fly right now. I guess we can try..running around." She snickers as she imagines her flock running around and flapping their wings like crazy. "We'll look like overexcited chickens."

Jaela clucks like a chicken and flaps her arms. "Bawk bawk." She drops her arms and chuckles to herself.

"Sometime around five to ten minutes." Ralem pipes up. He was shaking off his wings to get the excess water off.

Lyon gets hit by some of Raina's water. He lifts up his wings and flings water back at her.

Ralem watches them for a moment, then spreads his wings and runs to the side of the group. Jaela keeps walking, periodically flicking her wings.
