Jaela looked around the forest. She was sure she'd seen movement.
shadowdragon28 • 7 July 2020 at 1:13 PM
Raina pauses, "Huh?" she asks. Her mind still felt a little cloudy, but it was slowly getting better. Elias groans internally. This was why he didn't want to work with anyone. "Alright," Elias says, "lead the way."
robinn • 7 July 2020 at 1:42 PM
"Um," Lyon could feel the others' gaze on him. He really didn't want to be here right now, but he wanted to be sure that he didn't do anything to Raina. "I'm sorry for yelling at you." He says to her."Right," Sirin says while walking. "If my memory is correct, the hideout should be just north of the creek." He makes sure to keep Elias in his sight at all times. He didn't think the avian would attack now, but he'd rather stay on the safe side.
bgunny • 7 July 2020 at 2:42 PM
Lana follows behind Sirin. She was also watching the avian. She gave her trust easily, which was shown because she already trusted Sirin (to some degree). However, he had tried to lie to her, and he was an avian hunter. Being on the wary side seemed safe. "So, is your name really Hunter or is it just an alias?" she asked Elias. The girl held her breath as the golden winged avian scanned the forest. She was certain she'd been spotted, so she listened to her instincts and decided to try to flee. She jumped up, but the sudden movement and her headache made her dizzy. She dropped right back down to her knees and hands and gave the girl a fearful glance. She would have been spotted for sure now.
chaoschild • 7 July 2020 at 7:29 PM
Jaela looked at another area in the forest. Was that a kid she'd seen? She walks towards the place she'd seen her and barely manages to stop before she steps on the girl. She pulled her foot back, grateful she hadn't stepped on her. "That'll have to wait a bit." Jaela calls.
shadowdragon28 • 9 July 2020 at 2:44 PM
"It's okay," Raina says, "we all weren't thinking clearly." Especially me, she adds in her brain. What had happened to her? Had...Lyon caused this? Jaela mentions seeing a kid, and Raina decides to follow Jaela towards the child. The Lyon situation could wait until later.Elias shrugged indiscriminately, "That's for me to know, and you to figure out." He watches both avians carefully. He was pretty sure the girl avian was not planning to betray him, but appearances could be deceiving.
chaoschild • 9 July 2020 at 5:54 PM
(XD the Lyon situation) Jaela sits down next to the kid. "Hi... My name's Jaela. Where did you come from?" The blood on the kid scared her a bit, but she knew Ralem could heal her easy peasy. Ralem walks towards Jaela. She usually wouldn't have passed up an opportunity to sass at Lyon.
robinn • 9 July 2020 at 8:59 PM
"What are you guys looking at?" Lyon asks. Sirin spots his hideout. It was high up in a tree. He clumsily flies to the top. It was a small room, barely big enough for one person. He grabs a backpack and quickly looks over the contents. Weapons, a phone, supplies..looks like everything is there. He zips up the backpack and jumps down from the hideout.
chaoschild • 9 July 2020 at 9:04 PM
Mikka hears a sound somewhere nearby. She starts to walk that way, not really caring that her bare feet were crunching leaves loudly. She sees a few avians there and ducks behind a tree to watch and make sure they were friendly. Jaela looked back at Lyon. "There's a kid over here." She said, then turned her gaze to the girl.
robinn • 9 July 2020 at 9:34 PM
"An avian kid or a human kid?" Lyon asks. He steps closer to Jaela.
chaoschild • 9 July 2020 at 9:37 PM
"Yes." Jaela answers without looking. She watches the kid. "Hey, Ralem, do you still have those bandages?" She asked him. "Yeah." Ralem pulled his bag off his back and fished around in it for the bandages.
robinn • 9 July 2020 at 9:40 PM
Lyon crosses his arms. "That didn't even answer my question at all."
bgunny • 9 July 2020 at 10:20 PM
Lana tries not to smile. So, it was a likely alias then. He had already told them his name, Hunter. If that was his real name, there would have been no harm in telling them so. Based on his response, she could only assume it wasn't his real name. She was just guessing, though. Who knew what his response was supposed to mean. "That's fine. I was just curious. Hunter is an awfully coincidental name considering what you do," she says. "My name is Lana." She stops when Sirin climbs up a tree to his small hideout. She waits for him outside. The girl looks up at the golden winged avian. She scoots back a bit when she speaks and other avians start coming. Her gaze darts between them as they begin to talk. She could feel her heart beating fast. She didn't know if they were dangerous or not. They hadn't attacked her yet. Did that make them not dangerous? She keeps all of them in her line of sight, but gives most her attention to the first avian, Jaela, when she sits down next to her. She wouldn't be able to run now. She'd just have to hope they would help her. "I... don't know," she whispers. She had no idea where she came from.
shadowdragon28 • 10 July 2020 at 2:14 AM
(yeshh Lyon situation)(lol Jaela replying 'yes' made me laugh, I can totally see that happening)Raina walks next to Jaela and bends down, trying to appear as unthreatening as possible. She gasps, there was a bit of blood on the child. "Are you hurt? Are you sure you can't remember anything about where you're from?" she asks worriedly.(wow it actually does mean light or smthing in greek, Lana is a pretty kool name)"Let's just say I'm not so creative when it comes to names," Elias says, "Lana. Are you aware that your name means 'shining light' in greek?" He narrows his eyes as he watches Sirin jump down from the hideout. He had returned, carrying a backpack. What was in that backpack?
bgunny • 10 July 2020 at 9:01 AM
(Yeah, I like the name a lot for it's meaning. 😊 )Lana does allow a small smile at his next words. She was curious about his real name and wondered why he felt the need to keep it hidden, but she didn't want to press. She understood keeping secrets. "You're not the only one," Lana says. She listens when he says the meaning of her name. "I didn't know that." She smiles somewhat bitterly. "Didn't think my parents would give me a name with that meaning," she muses. She knew her parents had loved her, but they'd always thought she was weak and too gentle, not a shining light. Her gaze darts over to Sirin when he jumps down with a backpack. (I realized I never posted the picture of Lana: https://i.pinimg.com/736x/9a/0b/0e/9a0b0efdf98ffbc0f999464e4ab1e726.jpg )The girl moves so she was farther away from the avians. She didn't like the feeling that people were crowding her. She looks up at the new avian girl. She didn't look that scary, and seemed concerned, like the golden winged one. "Yes," she replies, answering both questions at once.
chaoschild • 10 July 2020 at 9:19 AM
(Oooooo!)Mikka sees one avian jump down from the tree with a backpack. Did it have food in it? She abandons all secrecy and walks out of the woods towards them. "Ralem, get your butt over here. She's an avian, Lyon, no need to be scared." Jaela tells him. Ralem comes over with the bandages. "Hello..." He says gently to the girl. He sees her wound. "That must hurt, huh?" He puts his bag down nearby, holding the bandages.
robinn • 10 July 2020 at 10:21 AM
Sirin walks over to the others. "Okay, I'm good to go." He says.Lyon backs away a bit. The kid looked scared, he didn't want to crowd her.
shadowdragon28 • 10 July 2020 at 6:39 PM
(oh is Mikka near Elias, Sirin, and Lana?)Raina sees Lyon backing away and she decides to follow him. "So. What happened back there?" she asks him in a low voice, trying to make sure no one could hear. She wanted to know if Lyon had something to do with how her thinking got cloudy.Elias tilts his head curiously. Lana had seemed a bit bitter when she talked about her parents. He opens his mouth to question her, but stops when Sirin arrives. "Alright, let's go," he says, "I'll lead you two to the trail I found."
robinn • 10 July 2020 at 7:02 PM
"What do you mean?" Lyon tries to appear calm, but his mind was racing at the thought of having his secret come out."Lead the way," Sirin gestures for him to walk ahead.
bgunny • 10 July 2020 at 7:18 PM
Lana saw the curious tilt of his head, and was preparing to explain why she'd been a bit bitter. She didn't mind telling him, but, then again, he hadn't exactly been very open with her. She liked to give what she was getting. Luckily, Sirin saves her the trouble by walking up to them. She waits for Elias to take the lead. The girl felt more at ease with the new boy avian who came up to her. He was speaking gently and seemed nice. She was beginning to feel more hopeful that they were good people instead of dangerous ones. She gingerly touched the side of her head where the wound was. She could feel the dry blood and her clumped hair. It did hurt, especially if she pressed down too hard. The headache was pretty bad too, but the throbbing was becoming more dull. She nodded. "Yes," she repeated.
chaoschild • 10 July 2020 at 7:18 PM
(Yup, she is.) Jaela looks at Ralem, amazed. He had this gift for getting people to trust him. "Will you let me help? I can heal you." Ralem said, looking over her wound and guessing how long it would take to heal. if it was recent then it would take less time. If it was less new then it would probably take longer for him to heal. He guessed it was newer.
bgunny • 11 July 2020 at 10:04 AM
The girl wonders what he meant by heal. Her eyes flicker over to the bandages he was holding and then back to him. Whatever it was, it was what she had needed and wanted. They couldn't be that bad if they were willing to help her. She nods and inches a bit closer to him.
shadowdragon28 • 11 July 2020 at 10:43 PM
Raina tilts her head, "I think you know what I mean." She wasn't letting it go this time. There were too many coincidences in Lark and Malen's death. And she was always suspecting that Lyon was hiding something. Not that she thought Lyon killed them! He..might have abandoned them. But she was pretty sure her friend wasn't a murderer. Probably. "Are your wings still sore?" Elias asks. "If so, it'll take a longer time to get there. Probably a few hours or so."
robinn • 11 July 2020 at 11:05 PM
Lyon sighs. He could tell she was not going to drop this subject. He pulls her away from the group. "Fine, I'll tell you, but only on one condition. You do not tell the others, understand?"Sirin stretches his wings. "Yeah, sorry. I think I might be better in an hour or so."
chaoschild • 11 July 2020 at 11:41 PM
Ralem smiles a little. "Okay. This shouldn't hurt at all." He starts making a magic golden healing ball. When it was about the size of a tennis ball, he held it out to the girl. "This will make you feel better. Just hold onto it for a moment." He gave it to her, then started getting his water bottle out of his bag to wet the bandages. They were mostly just for cleaning the blood off her skin.
bgunny • 12 July 2020 at 7:54 AM
Lana bites her lip when she watches the interaction between Sirin and Elias. Sirin might be fine in another hour, but what was she going to do? She'd have to tell them the truth or come up with something to say. She wasn't the best liar either...The girl wasn't able to hide her surprise when the avian makes a golden ball. "Woah..." she whispers, amazed. Her awe doesn't stop her from jumping back a little when he holds it out to her. The ball looked cool but she had no idea what it was! She hesitantly touches it when the avian tells her it will make her feel better. When it doesn't do anything to harm her, she takes it from him carefully.
chaoschild • 12 July 2020 at 10:03 AM
Ralem frowns a little when she jumps, but she took the ball anyway. "That's my magic. I have a power that I can use to heal people." He explains. "I don't like to talk about it though, so please forgive me for not telling you." He smiles slightly, almost making a puppy face.
bgunny • 12 July 2020 at 12:08 PM
The girl looks down at the ball again. Magic? She knew what that was... didn't she? She frowns and tries to think about it. The knowledge was just out of reach but a few times she felt like she had brushed against it with her fingers. Eventually, she stops trying to remember and shakes her head at herself. This was obviously part of what magic was. She wanted to ask about it but was too shy. She looks back up at the avian and nods. She offers a small and unsure smile. She didn't know how she felt about everything that was happening or all these people, but at least he seemed nice.
shadowdragon28 • 13 July 2020 at 2:32 AM
Raina nods hesitantly, "Alright. I promise. I wont...tell the others." She didn't like lying to the others, but it seemed like Lyon would not tell her otherwise. Was Lyon's secret so bad that he couldn't tell his own flock?"I guess we can walk the first half, then fly the rest of the way," Elias says. He suddenly sees an avian approaching in the corner of his eye. It seemed like she had already saw them, so his illusions would be no use. "I think that avian is coming towards us," he whispers lowly to the others.
robinn • 13 July 2020 at 9:38 AM
"Okay," Lyon takes a deep breath. This could end up going badly. "I have an ability that lets me manipulate others with my voice." He says. "But, I haven't used it on you guys. At least not on purpose. I'm sorry about earlier.""Where?" Sirin asks. His hand slowly reaches for his knife.
