Plaga was now hanging only by her arms. She hoisted herself back up onto the tree and climbed up to the top.

Aolia leaves the cave and hears leaves rustling in a nearby tree, but there was no wind.

Plaga looked down from her point in the tree and saw someone there. It wouldn't hurt to have a friend out here. She thought as she dropped down a branch.

"Hello." Plaga says. She jumped off of the tree to the ground. "Do I know you?" She asked.

Aolia looks up at the sky and realizes the time. "I didn't mean to be out this late, I had just been looking for a stone."

Elowen tosses and turns, but is unable to fall back asleep. He decides to just head towards the city instead.

Elowen continues towards the city. Thankfully it wasn't as dark out as before. A girl crashes into him, knocking him off his feet. Seriously, what is with people bumping into him all the time?

"I am so sorry! Let me help you up!" The girl says to Elowen. She extends her hand for him to grab. He proceeds to get up without her help. "Why were running in the middle of the night anyways?"
"I, uh, saw a spider.." She says sheepishly.
Elowen rolls his eyes.
"Hey! Don't give me that look!" She says after seeing his expression. "It looked poisonous! And didn't want to die again this week!"
Again? Elowen sighs, this was a big waste of time.

Raven rummaged through a pile of old scrolls. She found a map to a hidden city that was rumored to have hundreds of artifacts that would give her powers. She grinned. This should be good, she thought.
After she returned home, she packed some of her things and teleported to where the city was said to be. When she got there, she didn’t see anything, although her senses were telling her which direction to go. “Welp... guess I’m have to explore for a bit,”

The girl glances at his clothes. "Are you an adventurer?" She asks.
"Yes, why?" Elowen asks.
Her eyes light up. "Do you think I could hire you to protect me?"
Elowen laughs. "No way." There was no amount of money on this world that could convince him.

Before she knew it, night fell. Raven made a camp and fell asleep with the scroll pulled tightly to her chest.

"There must be something you want!" The girl pleads.
"Yeah, well what I want is powers." Elowen says. "Unless you can magically track down powers I don't think-"
"I can!" She says, cutting him off.
"Wait, what?"
"I have an ability that lets me sense powers!"
"You're kidding, right?"
"No, and even when I die the power seems to stay with me." She says proudly. "So, if you protect me, I can help you find powers, deal?"
Elowen thinks for a moment. This was way too good of an opportunity to pass up, but then he would be stuck with this annoying girl. "Fine, what's your name?"
"I'm Cressida, nice to meet you." She smiles warmly.
"I'm Elowen." He says flatly. "Can you sense and powers at the moment."
Cressida pauses. "Hmmm, nope!"
Elowen sighs, hoping he didn't just make a horrible decision.

In the morning, Raven continued searching for the map. She ran into a wooden sign that said “City Up Ahead” and followed in that direction. Maybe she could find help there.
After a few minutes of walking, she found the city. More of a inhabited ghost town, she thought. The houses were dusty and run down, but there were people there.

The city felt quieter than usual. Even though it was night, Elowen expected to see at least some people around. Doors and windows were shut tight. "Do you sense anything?" He asks Cressida.
"Not yet! You don't have to ask me every five minutes!" She replies.
"I just don't want you forgetting why I let you come along-" He cuts himself off. "Quiet, I think we're being watched." He whispers.

Aolia finally returned to her little home. She could sense that the stone she absorbed and the stones she collected had some powers in them. "Hey Plaga, do you want this stone?" Aolia held her hand out, a slightly shimmery stone sitting in her palm. "As thanks for helping me get back."
