(Any names mentioned in Conway's story is part of his hybrid gang/people who go into the Sea Realm's Black Market. The gang Conway leads is known as the SeaClaw, and they are famous in the Black Market department for selling human goods and mer goods. )
Conway
"So boss, are we going to explore that shipwreck today or nah?" Heiden said, playful punching Conway's shoulder.

Conway laughed, "Nah bro. Trust me, a shipwreck ain't worth bumping into those mer and sirens. Both of those folks are wack. I rather see if we can steal something from the marketplace today. I think that old, ancient, Mr. Crabby-What's-His-Name might have grabbed a few things from the older shipwreck or gotten a few gifts from that king. And you know how much that Prometheus dude likes human goods. We could get a fortune from him for that alone. And it probably won't be hard to sell royal goods to Magerius. As long as we have a successful heist, we should be living like kings for the next three months."

"Should we send in Essie to distract him again? Mr. Crabpyreos seems to be fond of her. We might be able to sneak more than just a few goods away if we send her in."

"Yeah, tell Essie to prepare to distract Mr. Crabbyface. Um..," Conway examined his gang, "I think I'll only take a few guys with me today. I want you, Leo, Kharion, and.... uh.... the new kid, Ferris or something."

"Will do, boss," Heiden said, swimming off.

Conway smiled to himself, his hand tightening around the handle of his dagger, ready for another successful heist.

Kailani heard the sound of something crashing behind her, but she shrugged it off. Even if there was someone else here, if they wanted to attack her, they probably would have already done it. Perhaps they were just watching her then. She continued to swim around, stuffing a golden goblet encrusted with rubies and sapphires into her bag.

As Kyren swam past the kelp forest in silence, he saw something in the distance. Squinting, he managed to make out the silhouette of a shipwreck. He warily began to swim closer, but the closer he swam, the stronger he sensed someone. A mer? He thought. Keeping his weapons at the ready, he cautiously began to approach the shipwreck.

Kailani studied the items she had found and stuffed in her bag. There was the golden goblet, shining as brightly as the sun, and a small, golden bracelet in the shape of a snake. As she started to swim a bit deeper into the shipwreck, she got the terrible sensation of being watched. Perhaps it was the same person who knocked over something earlier. No... the vibe felt... different... A bit more.... Dangerous?

She grabbed her whalebone dagger and turned around. "Who goes there? Show yourself! Uh...Please..."

Conway
Conway pulled his hood tighter over his head as he swam closer to the stand. Essie had gone in first, flirting seriously with the old man. Conway swam a bit closer, acting like someone had bumped into him, quickly grabbing a small, golden trinket off a nearby stand before continuing to Old Man Crabbington's stand.

"So what do you want me to grab from Crabpyreos's?" Leo whispered.

"Anything you think that might be valuable," Conway whispered back, eyeing the table. He spotted a huge brass helmet on the marketplace stand, and smiled.

"Change of plans, Leo. Heiden and Ferris are going to be the second wave, right? well then let's go for the helmet. Prometheus would pay all his life's savings for that. So, here's what we're going to do. I'm going to come inquire about the helmet, and I'll pay for it and swim off. You're then going to swim over to inquire about some of his other trinkets. Essie's smart. She knows I would never pay for anything other then food and cloth. While you inquire, she'll steal back the gold I paid Crabby-face. Your job is to distract him until you see she successfully got the gold, got it?"

Leo nodded, "Got it, boss. I'll try and swipe something too if she decides she wants to distract him a bit more. He usually gives her free stuff every once in a while."

"Good. I'm going in, remember what to do," Conway said, swimming to the stand.

When he arrived, he started to examine the objects, and let his hand rest on the brass helmet for a second. "Excuse me, sir," he said to Crabpyreos, "what can you tell me about this helmet?"

Kailani watched a seafolk swim passed her, unsure if it was a mer or siren. However, that feeling of being watched hadn't ceased. She could sense the presence of someone else.

"I know you haven't revealed yourself yet. Who are you and what do you want?"

Kyren scooted deeper into the shadows of the shipwreck, holding out a knife. After a quick few moments of thinking, he decided it would be best if he showed himself. The person who'd spoken didn't sound very sure of herself.
Gulping, he bravely swam out of the shipwreck to face the mer.

Aseha wandered out in boredom. Perhaps she would find a catfish. Stumbling out to a shipwreck, she noticed a few odd motions in the waves. Was someone here? Readying her spear, she started to explore the shipwreck.

The... was that a merman? A siren? He looked mer... She highly doubted he was a hybrid, after all, why would a hybrid venture in Zyros? Most would avoid it. He had a blue-tinted silver tail with fins running along his back, and she noticed an interesting locket around his neck. She squinted at the locket. It looked quick... different. Something about it was unusual, but she couldn't tell what. Perhaps it was just the design of the locket.

She examined him, taking in dirty blonde hair and blue eyes, hoping it would help her pinpoint what species he was. She still couldn't tell. He looked mer to her. Well, even if he was a siren, she highly doubted he was a threat. If he was, he would have attacked her by now, right?

She shrugged, lowering her dagger. "Oh. I thought you were-"

She shook her head, quickly changing her wording. It would be best to not offend whoever this was. What if he was a siren and she just hadn't been familiar with those specific attributes. After all, she'd never actually SEEN a siren before. Anyways, it would be best to stay on his good side.

"Um, so I'm Kailani. Nice to meet you," she said, smiling at the... mer?

Kailani then felt the sense of someone else approaching. She glanced at the area behind Kyren, pointing at the approaching figure. "Is that a friend of yours?"

"This one?," Crabpyreos replied, picking up the huge, brass helmet. As he picked it up, Conway noticed that helmet seemed to have a bronze rim, which makes it a bit more valuable.

"Yes, it seems so well-built," Conway answered.

Crabpyreos laughed, "It is indeed. Built with humans hands. The guy who gave me this helmet told me that the greatest warriors in the world used to wear this helmet, like Hannibal and Alexander the Great. It's a valuable little gem. This part here is made of pure bronze. The helmet itself is said to be at least three hundred years old."

"Sweet," Conway said, making eye contact with Essie, "How much do you want for it?"

"Hm... perhaps.... 900,000 sea dollars?" Mr. Crabby-face replied, an evil grin spreading across his face.

Without even counting the coins, Conway gave Crabpyreos a big bag of gold, took his helmet, and swam off.

"Oh. Hello." says Aseha surprisedly. She wasn't really expecting to actually find someone here. It was even more surprising to see someone that reminded her of her old friend.

Asia swims around looking for someone interesting to talk to. She sighed. She wanted to hear about what Kailani was doing. She was always doing something interesting. Spotting Neraiya pickpocketing a few mermen, she smiled and swam off, looking for a project of her own.

"Who are you?!" a voice squealed before Kailani could finish talking.

"I think the better question is who are YOU?" Kailani screamed at the figure. She noiced another figure approaching as well. "And you! Who are all you?"

She raised her dagger again, prepared to fight if they were a threat.

Aseha instinctively raises her shield, but lowers it again. A hybrid and a Mer? And whoever that person was. She sighs. She had to decide whether she actually trusted the nobility now, and frankly, she did not. She supposed it was time to see if all hybrids were like her former friend.
