Creature Suggestion: The Maray (part one of two)

Hello Arkians! This creature was inspired by a hobby and passion of mine, keeping houseplants. I plan on posting more of this theme, creatures inspired by houseplants named for animals. So far, I've completed two designs. This particular creature was inspired by the Alocasia Stingray plant! I'll post a picture of the plant the creature was inspired by for each one.

About the Egg:

The egg has a glossy, satin texture that requires very delicate handling. It does not like the dry heat, as the egg will wilt and shrivel, causing it to die. It likes a high level of humidity. Keep an eye on the temperature for this little one, its life depends on it.

About the Creature:

Once the egg hatches, it will spend the rest of its life in the water, almost like a reverse-frog life cycle. It spends a lot of time at the surface of the water, basking in the sun's light, enjoying the perfect amount of sunlight and moisture.

Maybe the eyes could be a bit bigger to make them a bit cuter, but that's a nitpick. Overall, I would be so excited to find these in the cave 😊

Since the standard these days seems to be three creature stages, I think @raitonchidori's idea of a last stage with a flower could be great!

I actually don't like creatures like this; no offense to you for making it. I'm just not a big fan of ocean creatures, I'm more into fantasy and the like.

It is cute, but I don't see myself wanting it unless to just collect it as one of the species. Since I'm just collecting all species before I decide on my favorite (Even though I have a favorite already)
