Yes did yesterday's late dailies but managed to screw up the other site's dailies again; however, this time, it wasn't only me rushing but me trying to reply to an e-mail, and my computer decided to crash stuff. All the stuff combined did me in, and scrambled the dailies for the other site. Yes, I have an even more sensitive task on another site which rests if I miss a day.

I liked the new prizes of books and food π

Complete 7 Quests?By the gods! Just NOI won't even try, because I know I won't even make it. :/Please remove this daily. PLEASE T~T
heatherm19 • 22 February 2023 at 2:51 AM
@mithmel I do agree that this is still a lot of quests and it would probably be helpful if the quest-tiers were lowered more. But you may be shooting yourself in the foot by not even trying, quests are so 'rng' that sometimes you get lucky and have multiple really simple ones. I complete all 7 needed quests in less than 30 minutes today, granted I have the advantage of having a *ton* of stuff in my strongroom so I often had at least one of the asked-for items, but I'm just pointing out that it doesn't hurt to try. If you get stuck on some hard ones you can give up.

The changes made to the dailies are awesome! It really shows that the developers care about their players. Thank you! π β€οΈ

Ok, it's been 3 days since the update or changes or what ever you wish to call it. So here is my thoughts, feedback or just ramblings. Call it what you will. In all honesty, I had no issues with the previous rewards system. With the exception of the social dailies, most of the tasks are things I do everyday anyway. The donation, quests, restock and consuming tasks are things I try to remember to do most weeks, but usually get distracted by some shiny thing somewhere. I've now been incentivized to do a few quests to stockpile my tokens, clear out event prizes I have to many of and to put travels on my creatures.I've been taking notes. From the 3rd to the 19th, I earned 48,327ec or an average of 568 per task. In the 3 days since the change, it's been 17,038 or an average of 1135 per task, as well as 5 items (which works out to 1 in every 3 tasks). Not including ec from feeding, tokens and items gained in quests etc. I've also gotten 1 monthly from the wheel. Interestingly today one of my items was Glowing Rocks (Texu Stage 1) and my wheel spun up a Texu, As I've stated somewhere before I am comfortable with the workarounds I have in place for the forum and wall tasks for my anti social days. My only issue with the blog comment was the number, and so only having to comment once would have been fine.I'm fairly happy with the way things are going at the moment. I still see the tasks as a novelty and the rewards as a bonus, instead of anything being a chore or grind. In saying that, thoughts on ideas already presented that I've probably already given my 2 cents on and are repeating myself to some extent:- The "all challenges in 25 days in a month" thing. I'm fine with it being a calendar month deadline. My thinking is it's to encourage daily visits and regular site interaction. This month may not be a winner for many players as new routines and adjustments need to be made in conjunction with the shorted month.I wouldn't object to the cumulative approach, as it means an everyday player could get 14 chances at the 100CC a year, while players with more restrictive access could take a year to get the prize.- Tasks V's Days - Again I can see both sides to this. I've been that player with only 30 minutes of internet in a day for weeks on end which has to be split between here, emails, downloading and updating offline content and updating family on the condition of someone in hospital. I've been the player with a full time job and an hour each way commute who still has a house to run.As stated, I'm happy with the current system. But changing to a total task system would help many players. So if the goal was 125 tasks (25 days X 5) it would allow for those who can't do a particular task (eg quests, social, cave approaches) for what ever reason they deem valid (eg. cost, time, mental health) they don't lose the whole day. Doing 4 tasks for 30 days is 120, so on a calendar model, all tasks still need to be done on some days. The number of tasks could also be cumulative, so doing one task a day takes over 4 months.- I've mentioned before, but on a task based system the idea of bonus or super tasks. Maybe an extra couple of points for feeding 2000 creatures in a week, or a point in a certain week if you escape the Maize Maze in October. Basically optional extra credit to help those who need to catch up or faster progress under a cumulative scheme.- Donating to the SARC. I like this idea in principal. It's something I do regularly anyway, so doing it for a task wouldn't bother be. It would all depend on the application and levels. eg task of donate at least 1ec, 1000ec and 2000ec. It would help move along the progress.Random idea I've not seen - On the activity page, the tasks each have their own box. As it's been stated, the tasks have different levels. Could the boxes be colour coded to indicate this? For example the easy tasks are tinted green, the medium ones yellow or orange and the hard pink or red.
heatherm19 • 22 February 2023 at 7:04 AM
@minnie298a Oohhh I really like the idea of color-coded boxes! That would be helpful to see at a glance which ones are the quickest an such, plus just in general seeing what tasks are at what tiers (to my knowledge, until the update blog post there wasn't any info on what each tier actually was with each task.)
mindwhiper • 22 February 2023 at 8:30 AM
@minnie298a well I agree with the most of ideas you've brought (different colors of task boxes it's cool), but I highly against SARC donations.Donation - it's a free choice, and don't need to take this choice away. We already have a forced donation of items, but this is a good opportunity to clear inventory, get rid of unnecessary things, but donating EC is a voluntary desire. It has a point - you can give an item to someone who need it. Giving EC in SARC - doubtful thing, consider the creatures in it and their prices. The task of donation excludes the whole meaning from the idea of volunteerism, I am against it. It's ok only if it's your choice to giving EC earned by YOUR time to anyone and anywhere you wish.We get the EC from the dailies, but even with the improved numbers it's a penny.
kediset • 22 February 2023 at 9:46 AM
yeah I'm not keen on SARC donation idea.. I don't want to have to help fund something I have zero interest in.@mithmel if you can do 5, I'm sure you could handle 7.. and maybe consider stockpiling on items.
hikanu • 22 February 2023 at 12:41 PM
The impossible happened.... I got a quest where I had BOTH items it asked for already. I did not think it possible. I'm actually a little bit in shock right now. XDEdit: It happened twice. I think the world is ending.
mithmel • 22 February 2023 at 1:44 PM
I just give up on these Quests. You have no idea how much I hate these Quests.
okami • 22 February 2023 at 2:07 PM
Just tossing out a couple of changes I'd love to see:β’I am also a fan of a daily for donating to the SARC, as long as it is not a huge amount of ec required. Even though I'm personally not a fan of the current creature being funded, maybe I'd really like the next creature- so it'd be great to help incentivize moving that progress along.β’I've seen this suggested already by other users, but I think updating the VEND creature stock would make quests more appealing to many users. It hasn't been updated since the removal of the Foo back in early October. I really enjoy questing, but as of right now there is really only one creature left in there that I really want to get. I'd love to see a more regular rotation of the VEND creatures- nothing insane, maybe just taking out 2-3 of them and bringing in 2-3 new ones every month?
jlya • 22 February 2023 at 2:27 PM
I have actually begun to like the quest daily. I stand by quest numbers over 10 being too much, but I will say since the quest dailies have become a thing, user shops are blowing up again. People are also stocking things more cheaply (in most cases). I'm making a decent amount back from what I spend on quests because I'm selling stuff in my shop. You have the feeding daily to get EC, you have the buy 10 items daily, then you have a quest daily. The rewards from dailies all kind of circle back around, and it's kind of fun instead of a chore again. πReally appreciate this Eggcave staff β€οΈ
mysticgirl916 • 22 February 2023 at 3:52 PM
I managed to complete the 7 quests in about 40 minutes (as I've said, I mostly do the Meltdown quests since they only ask for one thing). The prizes I get for completion go right into my shop (though I do keep a few things on hand of the item consumption tasks) so they can help others
mithmel • 22 February 2023 at 5:25 PM
My suggestion Complete Quests Dailyβ’ Low tier: 01β’ Medium tier: 03β’ High tier: 05I think it's fairer that way.It took me a while to suggest something, so I apologize for any inconvenience.

First, I want to say that I really appreciate the recent changes that were made, as far as making some of the dailies a bit more reasonable, and adding higher EC rewards and the chance for an item! Here is my feedback on the monthly challenge overall:Love: click exchange tasks of any amount (more clicks for my critters!), forum posting (I've been entering so many contests!), using items (nice incentive for me to actually use some items), donate items to donations center (a chance for some fun finds!), play wall of sandrodons (free, easy, not something I'd normally do, and you can win prizes!)Like: feeding tasks (100-200), alkub racing (nice to enter and then get some EC back), 10 cave tries, 5 quests), asteroid--these are all things that I wouldn't necessarily be motivated to do every day, so having these tasks is a nice extra bit of motivation!Meh: 7-12 quests, posting on walls (I like that it's easy, but I just post on my own wall and delete, so it feels a bit pointless), 15 cave tries, 300 feeds--these are all tasks that I find a bit tedious or time consuming. I don't hate them, but I am glad when they don't show up. Suggestions: I know it's a bit contentious, but I'm on team "SARC donation" task, as long as it's not a very amount. I also like the idea of needing to complete a set number of tasks over the course of the month, rather than a set number each day OR having 6 dailies and only needing to complete 5. That gives a little more flexibility, while still keeping people active throughout the month.I wish: that we would be able to only have 24 days this month, instead of 25, since 1. Feb, is only 28 days, 2.we had the extra hard task versions for the first half of the month, and 3. there was the one day where dailies weren't posted until halfway through the day.

Seems to be a bug going on for me today. Not sure if this is an issue everyone is having?I had just logged in for the first time today to do my dailies and noticed that I have 9 total quests listed in both the sidebar and the monthly quest page. It's a bit tricky to describe but there are 5 unique quests as normal with an 'extra' four being doubles of each quest except approaching the cave 10 times. This is what I see on the sidebar and main page for quests: https://ibb.co/Q9tX8HJThis persists across different browsers on PC and also on my mobile. The unique quests seem to work fine and count towards the day's total as normal. The duplicate ones do not track at all, even after the unique 'real' one is completed (I have fed over 100 creatures and the second feed quest still says 0 done) so seem to be just hanging out πWith the daily 5 counter working fine so far I doubt it will prevent completion of the set today, though I won't know until the Wall of Sandrodons refreshes later to finish off π
ashlinnhi • 23 February 2023 at 11:34 AM
Thank you Eggcave Team for acting on all user feedback so far! Really means a lot to see the staff listen to its community πI don't have any major qualms (I wouldn't be opposed to less quests still, but 7 is around manageable for me), but would like to suggest that the daily mini-game quests (Site Trivia, Wall of Sandrodons, Alkub Racing, etc.) rotate definitively each day. This is mainly because the Wall of Sandrodons resets at 3am each morning for me, and though my sleep schedule is already pretty messed up I would prefer if I didn't have to stay up that late two or more days in a row lmao. That's all, thank you!
heatherm19 • 23 February 2023 at 12:00 PM
@funyarinpa The same thing happened to me a few days ago, I sent in a ticket an it was fixed fairly quickly. @bluewolf I think removing VEND creatures every month is way too much, even with the addition of quest dailies it would be extremely difficult to keep up that way. Some of the creatures that would be removed first (ie the oldest) actually have some of the more difficult requirements (Swornt, Hallowolf, etc). Adding/removing creatures could probably be done more frequently than it has been, but definitely not every month. While I still think it would be better as a whole if the requirements were number of tasks instead of days completed, overall I think I'm liking the dailies. The recent changes were very helpful, and the tasks I dislike most (wall-posting, etc) have okay workarounds.
minnie298a • 23 February 2023 at 12:42 PM
@funyarinpa Same thing happened to me early on (like day 4 or 5). I ignored it and put it down to new event teething problems, with the intent to report if needed. One version of each filled, and the day counted as normal. The dupes just sat empty.
mithmel • 23 February 2023 at 1:07 PM
My suggestionβ’ Being able to exchange Daily for another. It can be free or spend some EC to do this action.β’ Being able to choose between earning 1000 EC or more instead of earning items and little EC.β’ Have more easy quests like "Edit something on your Profile" and "Place 5 items to sell in your Shop".That's all I've thought of so far.bye
okami • 23 February 2023 at 1:21 PM
@heatherm19 I would have to politely disagree with thinking removing some VEND creatures every month would be too much. Say, for example, 2 were removed and 2 new were brought in every month. Right now there are 93 creatures available, so it would take about 46 months (so almost 4 years) to rotate through the entire stock. That should be more than enough time to get each creature you're after. I know that the first several to be removed wouldn't have been in there for that amount of time, but they have been in there for months already, and staff also lets us know in advance when a creature is to be removed so it doesn't come as a surprise. Also, the 'oldest' ordering is actually by when the creatures were originally released, not when they were added to the VEND. So the ones at the top wouldn't necessarily be the first ones to be replaced. I'd also be fine with the opposite- having a large chunk of creatures removed/replaced in one go, but I think the gradual/regularly scheduled replacements would be more friendly to the majority of users.

I've been doing the daily tasks for now every day, and missed only one day, which is kind of why I'd like to make a post.First off, I like the dailies, it's a fun list to go off to have something extra to do, and I like that it introduces or re-introduces daily activities you'd otherwise never do.Likes; I like the tasks that are based on clicks, feeds and the click exchange. Site trivia, small amount of quests. Forum posts.Would not mind having the 'donate to SARC' option, as long as it's a 'donate to' task, where people can choose themselves the amount to donate. So from 1 EC to as much as people like to donate.Things that are a bit more 'ehh'; Profile Posts; Not a big fan, let's be real that most people on that day you'll interact with will think you'll only interact with them to complete this task. It can have the opposite effect of feeling in contact with other people (I personally don't mind, but it's definitely an element of this task).More than 4/5 quests; this ask the players to have a certain amount of EC to spent, so it will probably not feel approachable for newer players or any other players with a small amount of EC.Wall of Sandrodons, Alkub Racing; I often have to go late online because of a long day, and I think this might be a problem for more international players; there is a time stamp on these tasks, and the one time I couldn't finish the Daily Quests was because I had to play this game the previous day as well, already past 12.00 and 6.00 PM. So I literally couldn't do this task because it was a task the day before as well. So if this quest is there, make sure it's not there the next day, it will inconvenience international players (or even just any players who can only play one time at the day). This is the same problem I have with a lot of cave approaches. If I need to approach the cave 15 times a day, I need to approach the cave at least 5 times again with a time span of 2 and a half hours extra to complete. If you play this game in the evening, this would mean people have to stay up late to be able to complete the tasks. All in all is that my main concern; that the quests are within people's daily possibilities, and it won't ask from people too much to adjust their day/night to quests. I like to play it, to have quests to complete when I play here, but I also don't want to stay up past 2 a.m. to be able to complete the daily tasks. This is also why I am a big fan of the 25 days instead of every day, it's just lenient enough that people can miss a day due to circumstances.Other ideas; add a background to one of your creatures, place an item in your shop, buy a lottery ticket, look up a creature in the archives. Also a fan of the idea that you can change a quest (even if it's just one quest once a day) to a different quest.
minnie298a • 24 February 2023 at 6:33 PM
@blub You can add travels to your creatures as part of the "Consume" tasks. It's all I've done for those ones.As for the Lottery idea. With the current system of having to do the thing on the day, I'm very against it. I buy my full set of tickets as soon as I can. For anyone else who buys in bulk it would be like reset waiting for Alkub or Sandrodons on steroids. Days instead of hours.
blub • 24 February 2023 at 7:04 PM
@minnie298a Oh, I didn't think of that! I basically never buy tickets, so didn't think of that, but you're right.I was just trying to brainstorm, but good to know what would or wouldn't work (as like my own problems with some quests).
musicgurl333 • 24 February 2023 at 11:27 PM
@blub I agree about sandrodons/alkub racing. I donβt think the same one should be a daily two days in a row, because of the reset.
dragongirl02 • 24 February 2023 at 11:31 PM
I am already panicking again with the cave after 15 attempts. I have ~13 minutes before I can do #12 but only have ~30 minutes for rollover, and I can't afford to miss another day. Part of this was me waiting on the Wall of Sandrodons task to reset. Can someone explain how to do a task with a 22-minute cooldown with only 15 minutes before rollover? I think the cave is going to get me again.Cave got me again. Plus, what's with the consent Wall of Sandrodons? I'm trying to get that to reset so it is more in line with my evening hours, and I can knock out everything at night instead of meals getting in the way or me just forgetting.
newlife • 25 February 2023 at 12:06 AM
Wall of Sandrodons again? Feels bad having it back to back... T_T If you're going to do that, maybe switch between Alkub and Sandrodons, or at least make them reset at midnight rather than at 6PM and 12PM respectively.
heatherm19 • 25 February 2023 at 12:39 AM
Omg! Today is the first day you can claim the CC reward, if you haven't missed any days. You guys! There is confetti shooting around the page when you claim it! Why is this making me so happy I don't know, but yay!
mysticgirl916 • 25 February 2023 at 12:54 PM
I can relax now, I've completed today's tasks and earned the CC. Though I was never able to get a Cave monthly for completing each day (I only got commons)
