12 flipping quests... I mean I already got the CC so I don't actually have to do today's quests.... Oh who am I kidding I'll totally do them, lol. Maybe not within the first hour though.
(Actually I was kind of wondering if we'd still be able to do the dailies after collecting the CC for the month, like wondering if maybe they'd be grayed out because we completed the Big Task, I'm glad to see we can still do them regardless!)

I will do them because I'm not giving up my leeway day. If I do the task today I'll be done tomorrow. XD

I am about to be busy for probably the rest of the day now, so I'll do half now and panic about the rest later. lol

Just had the congratulations notice for 300 creatures fed pop up twice, about 4 or 5 eggs apart.

@heatherm19 that was a really good question regarding being able to still do dailies!

@snowywinter I get double-notices sometimes if I open multiple egg-tabs at the same time, possibly because they are opening at the same time? I don't think I've ever had it happen going 1 egg at a time though.

Hi, yesterday i finished the Monthly Challenge and got my 100CC reward
but it looks like that i can still participate in the Challenge since the month has not ended yet.

My question now, if i participate in the Challenge today will it count for next month or will everything reset in 2 days?

I was wondering if dailies completed during the month after collecting the CC would carry over into the next month? Like if we did 28 days of dailies in February 3 of those days would carry over into March.

Yay, I don't have to do all the quests today ^^

Edit: I've only completed 4 of the dailies today but it says I can claim today's chance of a monthly because I've "completed all 5 dailies!" Anyone else having this issue? I don't want to click the button since I didn't actually finish lol.

@heatherm19 I was feeding on the tablet, one at a time using the arrows. Interesting that we've had it happen in different scenarios. (I would have thought it more likely feeding on multiple tabs too.)

@jlya That is one heck of a bug! (good on you for being honest about it!) I just completed my 4th early to test it out. Not showing up for me. So all good on my end.

& @nanami I'm assuming (though I could be wrong) that there won't be any carryover, that it will all be reset at the beginning on the next month.
the 25 days thing seemed month-centric. Even if they incorporate suggestions of making it 125 cumulative instead of 5 per day. (though 125 cumulative with carry-over would be realllllly nice for those of us who can't finish in a month. But even if they did that I'd assume there would be a limit of 100 CC per 30ish days.)

For those wondering about tasks after collecting the CC....

I also finished yesterday and got the CC then. I still finished todays tasks (habit formation) and got the ec and item rewards (total of 6603ec, 2 books and a cupcake) and the creature wheel spin (Farlot). The Complete Monthly Challenge counter at the top stayed a green tick.

I feel like Click 300 Exchange Creatures is maybe a bit too much? The page only shows 28 at a time so it takes longer than simply feeding, plus there are users who actually get super-mad if you accidentally feed an exchange creature that said click-only so you need to be really careful about that, which also takes time.
(....... An feel free to completely ignore the above because I didn't realize it would count to open multiple tabs at a time with a snaplinks-type extension, for some reason I thought that didn't register as a click on the exchange! *Duh*)

Also, @Ian could we maybe get the "Restock (_) Items" changed to "Purchase"? It says purchase in the task's description, but still says Restock in the bold part. That 'restock' really confused me the first time, thankfully it's more clear now with the 'purchase' in the description but it'd be nice for it to be consistent.

If you pick a creature in the XC to feed, they count towards the click counter as well. So in a way your only clicking 100 over what you have to feed. As a result, you can feed 300 creatures from the Feed Preferred tab, and it will count as your 300 Clicks task. Multitasking for the win!

WARNING:

Verify your phone number before going to the Asteroid. I didn't realize I had re-verify my number to activate the quests, so I already visited the Asteroid. I guess that's a day gone. Is there a way to get credit still?

Did I misread that? Do we still have to clear 25 days out of the month, or has the display not updated yet?

@salvalli I don't remember that being mentioned, a lot of users *asked* for it but I don't remember staff saying yes.

Still think the high-tier for quests should be lowered more, 12 is still a LOT to do in one day.

I wish it was more prominently shown that you have to verify every month, I did half my 'free' cave attempts before realizing I had to verify before it would even show the dailies (thankfully cave attempts aren't a task today anyways).

I dont know that I have to verify phone to get the quest, think that the quest will count anyway and visit Asteroid as usually.. now the quest is visit asteroid once, I already visit, how do I count it?

I'm a little disappointed that nothing has changed: Again 25 days with 5 tasks, and it starts right away with 12 quests. That's no fun (at least for me). But I still have hope that it will change from the 25 days to a fixed number of tasks per month. How one is supposed to manage the monthly challenge under the current conditions on vacation with bad or no internet is a mystery to me.

i think i got like 20/25 days last month and no monthly from the daily completion. it really makes me wonder what the original odds are if this is supposed to be a doubled chance?

25 days with high-intensity tasks like 300 feeds/clicks and 12 quests seems unsustainable in the long run and will quickly cause player burnout. i know these are intended to be a bit of a chore so that the cc is earned, but "dailies" in the classic sense are just to get players engaging daily -- not burning through their savings to try to complete one of three tasks (speaking from personal experience today) or inducing repetitive strain.

i get that there's difficulty tiers as well, but i can imagine having more of a variety of low-intensity tasks like "collect your daily interest" or "update your profile status" or "put something up for sale in your shop" to give people a break among the "200/300 clicks/feeds"? so far the "easiest" tasks in my opinion are the social ones, and the forced social interaction is still not for everyone even if there are get-arounds like forum games and posting on your own wall

@alraune3 @stormwarden Agree on all points. (Except for the social tasks being the easiest, lol)

This is a pretty huge new feature and so far staff has been really great about listening to feedback and adjusting things, I figure it'll probably take a few months for everything to really get settled on. (As in, I really hope they are still considering adjustments an such...)

I'm going to say what I've said repeatedly in the other game I use to play: I'm in the minority with a huge advantage because I *can* play for hours and hours every day. Even 12 quests, while a little annoying, is no big deal for me. But I'm the exception here. *Most* players are going to have school, work, family responsibilities, etc, especially the younger users who may have parent-imposed limitations on when they can be online. I sincerely believe, based on this past month and everyone's comments, that the current Monthly Challenge is not sustainable for the majority of the userbase. And I would hate to see such a helpful wonderful feature become just another thing that most people can't do (like buy CC in the first place...)

(That said, staff here have consistently awed me with their communication and willingness to listen to users, so I have high hopes for the future of this feature!)

(And I really need to stop making long posts until I get a new keyboard/computer, this took me forever.)

Like others I was surprised at having to verify my account again for the start of the month, only because I hadn't seen it mentioned (maybe it's time for a page in the Players Guide, which can explain that and other things like the suggestion to post in games for the post tasks). Fortunately for me, I went to the challenge page first. (Unfortunately for me, my phone was at the other end of the house, and yesterday was leg day at the gym, but that's really a me problem not an EC one.)

I can see that this system means that the tasks will remain at a calendar month time limit, and is probably harder to change to a cumulative event. Which is something I don't mind. This month there are 6 excess days.

What are you going to do when you are on vacation for 14 days? Sitting every day for half the day in an internet café (if there is one) doing quests and the like? I think such a month is actually lost for the monthly challenge.

Personally I'd write that month off and accept I'm not getting the CC.

I've been there before. Weeks of only having 15 minutes of net time a day over a 5 year period. Time that had to be split between updating family on my mum in hospital, emails, bill paying, updating my off line games, downloading reading and watching material and popping in here to ensure my creatures stayed alive (in a time when I was too poor to bulk Tim's and the leaf didn't exist).

It was hard. I missed events. There where other sites I didn't visit at all and missed freebies there as well. I accepted it and moved on.

The tasks are optional. The rewards and cc a bonus for loyalty and dedication. My goal of playing isn't to get the cc.

@salvalli To be honest, I don't think that the staff will make concessions in principle and change the challenge system. A certain number of tasks per month is more convenient for users, but daily tasks provide the site with a daily input of a large number of users, which has a better effect on login statistics. This is a better solution for the site than for users, they will never change such a convenient system for themselves.

I would also like to note that the staff clearly does not listen to requests to reduce the number of quests from 12 to at least an acceptable 10, and I wonder when it will reach them that even in the name of 100СС people will refuse daily routine. A funny game has turned into a job, it's not very fun, and people will always have other ways to get СС. No matter how ridiculous it may sound - it's easier to buy them, maybe this way with the help of a stuffy routine we are being pushed to this. The house wins as always, as they say.

As for me, I don't like the trend of turning games into work, thank you, we already have similar games/every day's job. But what else can you expect from a gaming site designed for an audience with a huge amount of free time?

I approached just before re-upping my confirmation and it didn't count. I'm also curious if this will be resolved?

Ian has been notified about Asteroid visits not counting. It should get solved or a statement made about it once he is able to get online.
