@bluewolf Or it would take them several months to implement changes, if they even consider them in the first place.

We're barely through the first month and I'd be perfectly fine with it not changing for the next 3 just so the staff can get a good feel for how many of the users are participating regularly and how well they do over a longer period of time. Which tasks people do, and which they tend to avoid doing, or don't manage to complete despite trying. That being said I do think there are pros and cons with starting this monthly challenge in the shortest month of the year where people get 2-3 days less to figure things out than any other month, adding on an additional stress factor that would not have been there, had we started today compared to 4 weeks ago.

I'm not a fan of the quests regardless of the numbers. May it be 1,2, 3, 5, 7, 10, 12, 15 or even 30 of them. If not for the challenge it'd be a part of the game I happily would have left alone. I don't feel like doing 12 quests today, so I simply won't. 😊

@hikanu Yeah, in most of the bigger online games it would take months for staff to even comment on feedback, nevermind actually making changes within the first month (or, yunno, totally ignore persistent user feedback for years without comment... (saltiness from other game coming through...)) Such a huge feature is bound to have some 'growing pains' and staff probably want to see how things go over the course of several months.

I've said before, the staff here are AMAZING when it comes to communication about site issues, letting us know they are aware of issues or concerns, and making changes based on feedback. I've honestly never seen a small-time website have that before, it's so very refreshing to see. I have complete faith that they are listening to our concerns in this thread. (An now I feel like I sound like some promoter or something, I'm just very passionate about this game!)

@heatherm19 That is if the feedback even reached the staff who could do something about it... It's like a game of telephone on sites like that. You leave a voice mail someone might hear 3 months from now.

Big isn't always better and I quite like this place, it's small and cozy. 😊

I've had a couple of days where I haven't gotten any prizes (like yesterday). Had more where I've gotten 3 for the day (like today).

Anyway according to my notes, I've gotten 18 items for the 55 tasks I've done since the announcement, which if my math is correct comes out to 32.7%. Which I feel is close enough to the 33% chance that was announced.

Still have not gotten a monthly from completing the dailies. It's been 31 days, so I'm kind of surprised I haven't gotten at least one.

Also a little surprised we have to verify every month. I thought February would be the only time.

Today From the dailies I got Fortuaith, The chance of receiving a Cave monthly is doubled But not guaranteed and They said. How It Works Visit and access the Monthly Challenge from your verified main account. Each Month, you'll need to complete 2-factor authentication to access the Monthly Challenge.

I admit I am curious about the reasoning behind having to verify through phone every single month... I mean if you verified your account to begin with, *an* did the verification in February, isn't that enough to show you aren't cheating/a bot/whatever? I can't really think of a situation where a main account verified by phone at two different points *wouldn't* be trustworthy... (This isn't really a complaint as I don't really mind doing it each month, I'm just curious about the reasoning.)

I have to mention how much I like days like today when the different dailies feed into each other... 'Click 200 Exchange Creatures' will get you 2/3rds of the way through "Click 300 Creatures", and if you feed some of the ones you click you can knock out "Feed 100 Creatures" at the same time. Very convenient, and I assume very helpful to people on a time crunch.

12 quests on 1st March, 12 quests today. Can someone please explain to me again about these "tiers"? My English is obviously not good enough for that. When do 5 quests come and when do 7 come instead of 12?

"Every day, there are 2 dailies selected that are guaranteed to be very easy (i.e. one-click or post a few comments)
Every day, one of the dailies will always be feeding creatures
Over the course of several days, you'll notice that dailies have a low, medium, and high goal to complete; this is randomized. For example, when asked to feed creatures, sometimes it'll be 100 (low), 200 (medium), or 300 (high). Some days will be harder than others!"

So apparently it's randomized. Unfortunately, it being random does mean there will be times when the hard-tier will be given multiple times in a short span. I'm assuming over the course of each month it more or less evens out.

Thanks for your explanation @heatherm19, I did not realize that the number of quests comes randomly. So it's just bad luck that there are again 12 quests to complete. I have a busy day at work today and am not home for 11 hours, so I am out for the quest challenge today.

I am trying to deal with all sites with site dailies quickly this week (it might get busy in my mourning hours), so I am trying to do nighttime (my time) runs. The 12 quest thing is doable but is still a lot, especially since it's likely a work/school night for many people. Maybe doing ten as complex, 5-6 as medium, and a three as easily makes it slightly easier for people with work/school night/weekday time constraints. Not sure how much I lost/gained this round as I haven't done the prize math yet. I usually save that till later. The other times I did the daily quest, I had results.

Yes, I know I can skip six days (this month, as it is a 31-day month), but I want to save for an actual oops day (the daylight save time shifting the time zone offset can mess me up), or maybe a day when the cave decides to be rude with RNG cooldowns like what it did last month.

As for the Monthly eggs, the cave has given them to me more on its own now, not as part of the dailies. Unless it's somehow affecting the real cave chances too.

So I kinda don't care, for once, I'm trying to get one of the Vent Creatures that retires at the end of the week, so I do quests, it just advances me on my schedule and forces me to do more today, but we've already had this quest 3 times in just 9 days...

It's starting to do a lot for a quest that requires a lot of money...

@hikanu Yeah, this is getting to be a little much now.

Also, I'd like to mention again that things really should be more balanced across the dailies in a given day. We have 12 quests, the hardest tier... We also have 200 feeds, *and* buying *15!* items... All of those together is a lot. I'm assuming the system just throws out some low-tiers, medium-tiers, and hard-tiers each day without consideration to the tasks themselves, personally I think if we have something that's more time-intensive (and expensive!) like 12 quests, the rest of the dailies that day should be low-tier.

the quest requirements were changed but im surprised that we havent seen the lower quest tiers in a while! it's hard to gauge what might be a happy low/medium/high when we literally never experience the low or medium..

@heatherm19 Right??? I saw the quest list today, and was immediately like…well, I know what day I’m skipping! What’s the point of having easy/medium/hard levels when we get hard every time? We’re barely over a week into the month and we’ve had the 12 quests daily THREE times!

Consume was only yesterday (5 on the 8th, plus 3 on the 5th). It had been a week since the restock one though (5 on the 2nd).

"Fun" tidbit of info: Since the 3rd of Feb (when I started taking notes) we have been required to do 100 quests. 36 in this month so far alone.

@minnie298a I love you people who take such detailed notes! That's a lot of quests, my goodness. I haven't paid much attention to the monthly leaderboards lately but I'm assuming the quests one probably looks pretty different compared to before dailies started.

I started just to see how much ec I was winning. I kept it up because it's interesting. Well at least to me. For example, in the 17 days I took notes before the prize change I earned just over 48k in ec or 568.5 ec per task. I haven't yet averaged out the long term since the change though, but the smallest daily average I've gotten is 806ec per task on the 4th March.


Back on the whole quest thing. As I said before, many pages ago, the tokens have a "big picture" value. No creature in the Vend Machine costs over 100 tokens. If you've done all the quests tasks, you should now have 100 tokens. As a result, if you've stuck to only Meltdown quests because of the one item things, congratulations you can claim a Renbogi if you so desire. If you diversified, well, only you know what you can get. A retiring Peeyu is only 62 tokens spread over all 6 categories, with no more than 15 in any one.

Personally, my task quests got me a Fiamma. Which I feel I have won a suitable travel for from the task prizes. Yay daily challenges!!!!

Mess up on the 9th, but luckily that was the first miss of the month. It's impossible to do 12 quests in 10 minutes and have to deal with the computer being so strained with me racing against the clock that it overheats and has a computer crash. Rebooting it after a crash takes a few minutes, and the next thing, I'm down to 12 seconds. Luckily this month has 31 days, giving me six skip/mess-up days.

I do agree with the other that mentioned that it's odd we haven't seen the low and medium tire level quest task yet.

Also a few days ago I did end up with me just making it with barely and few seconds to spare. Though I realized while doing that when you claim the daily's egg roll (not sure what to call it) it will take one of your 10 free cave attempts if you haven't used them yet. Not sure if that was intentional or not.

lost my text in a random refresh. Has anyone else noticed that the ECT clock has yet to shift to daylight saving but the task countdown timer seems to have? We don't do daylight saving where I am so it messes up the offset for me making rollover run into mealtimes.

Is there a chance of getting the daily lists in the corner hyperlinked to their corresponding pages? I would honestly greatly enjoy them being hyperlinked, and to me would make more sense then them all leading to the quest page.
