Creature Release Week Begins

If you've never experienced Creature Release Week before, get ready! Each day for the next week, we'll be releasing one brand-new species in the Cave for you to find and adopt. The final day of Creature Release Week is the 8th day, when all creatures are available from the Cave. Will you collect them all?

All creature stages will be revealed at the end of the week. The rest are hidden with the exception of the Hoddel (already known in the CDWC). Cave attempts are increased to 25 per day but will return to the normal 10 attempts per day after the final (8th) day.

What are "cryptids?"

Cryptids are creatures who are rumored to exist but haven't been proven to exist by scientific observation. The Kraken would be an example of this.

Cryptid One: Hoddel

Based off the Hodag, this is the Hoddel. It was discovered by some Arkian scientists in the shallow swamps of Ark. Many thanks to @firedawn for writing the winning CDWC description (the first Hoddel in existence has been added to your account for free).

Don't visit the Cave from your side accounts! This has never been allowed and still isn't allowed during CRW. (It's really easy for us to tell who's abusing multiple accounts and Cave suspensions will be issued to offenders.)

8:19 PM: Cave Attempts Fixed

Cave attempts have been fixed and now allow you to visit 25 times per day without a wait. After that, it's the normal wait time.

I don't like the stress that comes from CRW. It's all RNG, so people who really want a pet tend to be unable to get one while those who don't will put up 3 in the trade centre asking for 500 CC each.

How. How can @ian not be on. On one of the most famously active and buggy weeks on eggcave? I've been on for two years on eggcave. Also yes. I haven't forgotten last year.

@pet_cemetery The second day was delayed and the rate to get them was so low we got an extra day and we only got the extra attempts about halfway through the week. It was a mess.

thank you for the 25 attempts @ian ❤️ as for those who were a little frustrated just try to appreciate that we even get 25 attempts because we didn't back in 2010.. now that i think of it i think we got less then 10 attempts not sure though its been so many years since i started

Thanks for the 25 attempts. Thought it would be reset to 0 but still found 2 because I only had time for 20 try today.

Whatever mess, lateness or frustrations we've gone(been going) thru, thank you for this chance at new creatures...(although I'm pretty sure there's gonna be a bug-creature in there somewhere.LOL)
