The Chocotravaganza Exchange is our annual February event. Here's how it works.
The Exchange will be open to collect Chocolate Boxes February 14-21. After that, you will have more time to spend your remaining Chocolate Boxes in the Prize Shop.
This year, the incredibly popular Tine has returned to celebrate its 10 year anniversary. You can obtain it through the Chocotravaganza Exchange.
Many thanks to @chapus2009 for writing the winning CDWC description. The first of its kind has been added to your account for free. The rest can get it for 500 Chocolates as part of the Exchange event.
There are four newcomer Travel prizes as part of the Exchange.
Like last year, February 2020's Cave Monthlies are available in the Chocotravaganza Prize Shop (limit 1).
The following prizes have been retired from the Chocotravaganza Exchange this year: the Ardeidor, the Saurogapi, Lovely Heart Toy variants, Love-Enchanted Apple variants, Clouds With Hanging Hearts, Valentine's Day Picnic, Love Text Banner, and Hearted-Shaped Greenery.

With like a 10% success rate or smthn. They are *much* cheaper than I thought though and seeing how much they are worth, everyone will probably have one in no time and they'll be worth a peanut 😋

@wild_wonders Id have to say that a one week period where users depend entirely on themselves and others to collect the necessary amount is *far* better than it being available in the vend for weeks. 😋

personally I dont really care about their value; but then again one of the main reasons it became so valuable to begin with is because just about everyone likes them and not a huge pool of them survived the pre-immortal days.

Happy Valentine's Day! It's rather nice to see the Tine return, and it gives newer users a chance at actually getting one. I certainly didn't "work hard" to get mine so I'm indifferent over its value potentially lowering. I'm definitely aiming to get the panda.

@wild_wonders I try to go by the whole "Don't spend more than you're comfortable spending" rule just because I know that things can change. It's why I've been holding off on some things. With some creature prices being insanely high, if I don't agree with it I wont pay it

In my opinion, I think original release Tines are going to be worth way more than these Tines, just like what happened with VEND creatures (like the Tawny). But that's just my opinion. Will try to do 5:5 exchanges, by the way.

-since in my eyes paying for it is condoning the high amounts and making them acceptable. Rarity is cool and all, but I don't want people to envy my cove, I want them to get a real shot at everything I have without having to pay hundreds or trade all their creatures ❤️

@foxbit The Choconoms are so adorable ❤️ And yeah, some people are all about steal dates so the new ones probably wont be as coveted, which is fine by me lol. I get a shot at my dreamy regardless of it's steal year.

@netherling I think at the time I was happy with what i was paying as tines were my ultimate dream ngl... Overoffering wasn't an issue but now I'm paying the price lol. XD I probably won't get back the same value I paid but they still have sentimental value to me so its not all

bad since it'd be hard for me to let go of them in the first place... i do know some people who traded like pure cc for them though, I think someone paid like 80k pure cc in an auction once, they'd be banging their head rn.. 😱 3

@wild_wonders I understand that entirely xD My ultimate dreamy is a Nym but I don't have any Doovoos or Macbots or anything to trade from one and I S U R E don't have $500 on hand to buy the CC needed for it's estimated value loool. If all these rares had 10 year anniversary-

Yes THANKS for rereleasing the Tine! Doovoo and Macbot next for Halloween? Give more people a chance to get them, instead of paying ridiculous amounts of money for people who already hoard so many of them just because they happened to be here 10 years plus ago.

wow.. kind of disappointed.. I have been a member of this Community for 10 years myself and worked so hard to get my tine.. I also suggested to Ian and several staff members multiple times about making a tine 2.0 so people can still have the time but it won't lose value..

but I was constantly ignored or not even responded to and now I just get to wake up and see one of the creatures I spent years trying to trade and traded so many creatures I will probably NEVER be able to actually re trade for.. just for this to happen.. =/

I truly wish a little more thought went into this.. I understand it's great for people who have been able to get them.. but you could have made it more difficult at least.. to show some respect and fairness to those of us who spent actual time, huge money and years to get them..

@idol i understand your point of view however you shouldnt have to trade so much in the first place. Why should something be worth 50k plus for something thats was never bought from the csp in the first place.

@idol I see where you're coming from but tbh I really don't think a tine 2.0 would be nice/solve it. People would still be tripping over themselves for a tine. 😋 I think it would've been better if there was a limit on how many tines you could get - like 2 or 3 per user.

Because of supply and demand of the people. I'm not saying eggcave made it that way. The price inflated over the years because US as a group online decided it to be worth that much. In that argument I don't see how it's fair to pay 50k or whatever price for a nym since -

I was a member when they came out. I don't see why the fact that it's an old cave creature or an old cash shop creature has to do with anything. Because if they have the ability to re release any creature. They can just do that to the CSP too. I mean at some point will they -

@prairie You can still want the tine and just trade up to achieve it like anyone else. Yea it's a hard goal but what is the fun if every pet is just obtainable someday again anyway? XD but I do see what you are saying. I think restricting them would be a good idea as well. 😱

As a player who has been here since 2009, I don't really mind the Tine coming back for its 10 year anniversary. I know that there are some people angry, but this is a game about collecting. It's not the end of the world that others will be able to have a Tine now.

Reading all the comments about the Time re-release. 😋 As a long time EC user, I think it's about time they rereleased older critters who are otherwise impossible to get. I do agree that they should have put a limit per user and/or raised the Choco price to maybe like 1.5-2k.

This is why I have mixed feelings about this site. While staff does amazing things like bringing popular creatures back, they also simply ignore my bug report and refuse to help me.

As one who has traded them and for them I am glad they are back. Why do people want to pay more? Do you go to the store and then argue that it's for sale for $5 but it should be $10 no your going to pay the $5. Feeding does take time aka work. Have fun it's a game 😉

@pouncessoftly I agree. Or in the side tool box or even on one of the drop down menus. To make it easier to get to the event page! It'd also be cool to have a button (like the shop till that notifies you when you have EC from your shop) when you have received chocolates.

😋 i used to have a 2010 tine too, that i worked hard to trade for. but tines are virtually unobtainable right now unless youre gifted one by a quitting friend... i'm glad they have been rereleased. it will not destroy the economy, and at the end of the day its a game for fun 😊

Is it just me, or are chocolates really hard to get? I'm usually getting them every 8-10 creatures, and that is such a slow process lol.
