@daisycat thank youuu yeah i agree T-T not a fan of how it turned out tbh, my whole concept art was based on my rl cat and this looks nothing like her 😃❤️‍🩹 (also frustrating bc i specifically made written and typed notes for the artist not to change the colours and art too-

@senkou While I think the art is still very cute, I agree and was really excited for another tiny! The colours are also pretty but I can see how it's quite a bit of a contrast to the soft and pinky/ red colour palette of the concept art

@senkou I agree with this entirely. Its so different from the concept art. Seems like they went a little wild with my Lovour too, not sure what to say on that end.

@senkou I get you. :-( It feels bad to give any critique on selected suggestions because it appears as being ungrateful. I know that's not the case. It's frustrating though when, for example, my previous suggestions were basically traced, but the last one was not. ^^' -

- I feel like a lot of users love the old art with tiny creatures, so I'm always surprised when suggested tinies aren't implemented.

@senkou @daisycat sorry if you don’t wanna be pinged here, but i’m assuming as to why the Bunvun wasn’t drawn tiny is cuz the site artist that does it hasn’t been on EC for a while… (i mentioned finding ‘em a while back in kataclysm’s “Why Don’t We See Artist Credit anywhere?”)

Also just wanna say. With the dislike over January's CSP and Cave creature art, and now February creatures, and yet the raving and excitement over the CRW art, asking to know the CRW artist, follow them, compliment them... I really hope the non-CRW artist is okay. ❤️ -

- However, when a suggestion is not a mere concept, and each stage is thoughtfully drawn out, I think players expect it to be traced (for the most part / 90x90 permitting).

@daisycat i completely agree with you. THIS. This is exactly it. Both are artists, but I feel like the suggestions need to be considered more if used at all. Or communicate with the original designer thank you for saying what I couldn't bring myself to

ah ok, that makes sense! yeah, i can’t blame this artist for going at these suggestions in their style, but i do wish they could keep some of the notes from the users that get chosen.

Not trying to spam, but I'd like to say what I do like about these pets. ^^ Lovour: I love the skrunkly baby, the face is so cute and silly. Adult stage tail looks cool. Empercora: Absolutely love yellow and pink together. Alluring eyes. Favorite egg.

1) I do agree with @daisycat and the other though. I specifiaclly designed the baby empercora to have an innocent and amazed look on it's face (I'm not the best artist so it might not have been clearly visible).

2) While the relesead version, though cute, has a goofy look. It changes how viewers perceive the creature.

TBH nothing against the artist, but I don't like the Lovour at all. It looks too similar to the Larvametus; and just seems like a recolor/reskin of the that or the Ryukura. I feel like there should be more variety; especially when it comes to CSP creatures.

Welcome new creatures and congrats to everybody that got chosen! I understand where you guys are all coming from with the points about the art. But if it means anything, I still love them all and plan to keep all of them in my cove ❤️ Thanks for the awesome suggestions!

I get what people are saying, but I kinda prefer the final Bunvun over the original suggestion. Bit more interesting than simply someone's cat with wings stuck onto it. But that's just my very dumb opinion...

I also noticed an inconsistency between the new design and the description - the baby Empercora didn't have a white belly in the original design. This is also mentioned in the description. Now the design has changed, but the description remained the same.

Please don't get me wrong, I like the art on all the creatures. But it's not the art that has been suggested. In my case it's just the baby stage and the egg. Which isn't transparent so you can't see the embryo, like the description suggest.

But in @senkou 's case, the whole creature has undergone big changes. It's not the same design anymore. So I understand the pain.

Thanks for the sentiments everyone ;-;❤️ overall it's still cute ig, but had higher hopes for it considering the success from other artists in previous suggestions. sad to see that this isn't consistent with all the eggcave artists. more respect to the og design needs to be given
