Glad to know I'm not the only one, and this isn't something on my end 😃
However, I do want to note that I never had any problems with lag on Eggcave. A lot of other sites, it's common, but I think that's a reason why I was unsure if it was something on my end, because I never experienced lag on Eg...

Side is so slowly. Feeding is so slowly. And again and again error pages. And I can't see all creatures in the caves. Often there are only little squares ☹️

For the last 16 plus hours it has been basically impossible to participate in the Chocotravaganza event! If this lasts much longer, I just won't bother. I usually enjoy getting involved in all the events. I don't have the time to sit here waiting for pages to load just get an error page over and...

Things have gotten better for me. I also was experiencing terrible lag and gateway errors, as well as the creature image issue. As of the last 5-10 minutes or so, site has gotten faster and much less gateway errors.

@snowwall I also got the message saying I have visited the asteroid when I haven't, and a lot of creature images aren't loading for me on Chrome for both my Android and PC

--As well as other issues others have already stated such as 502 errors and site lag.

Same thing as well here. 😋

I get a blank page with this centered at the top of the page: "502 Bad Gateway nginx/1.13.6"
Site is also lagging for me, and I've checked my internet speed which is fast as ever.😋
Chrome is up to date, and I have cleared my cache multiple times

Can't say about lag, it varies with Inet speeds (and that is far from constant around here), but "Me too" on the 502s. Cave approaches, feeding. Refresh sometimes yields another 502, but not often - "another lag" is far more common.

Sometimes I think site holidays should happen in the holes betw...

I'm on a desktop and it's not any better ... at best it'll seem to be getting better for like 5 creature feeds then I get the lag and/or 502 error ...

I'm already about 500-700 chocolates off my pace due to this 😱 ☹️

Been getting them all day. I looked into it:
