What about verifying with two emails? I don't really have any ideas but I agree that everyone should be included in the fun we have on the site. Or maybe that one time code @sinthr was talking about?

Pings to give some ideas or support:

Personally I have no issue with sharing my phone number, at this point no one's data is truly safe online imo so it doesn't really matter. And I do trust this site enough to believe they aren't going to use my info for anything other than verification.

That said, I do find it extremely disappoin...

I think this is an important topic to consider. Maybe even if just setting up an email address for this instead of providing a phone number? In my humble opinion, Eggcave is a site for all ages. Heck, I joined when I was 15! Back then, I had a crappy little flip phone that I wasn’t allowed to give o...

@suzanab I have phone now, but I'm unwilling to share it. And I think EC should respect this. Denying feature ISNT respecting this choice imo.

Please let us use at least something like 2FAs as an alternative (an open source app available on phones and pc) that doesn't require to put a phone numbe...

One year ago, sms verification (main & side linking) via entering your phone number on the site was made. This unlocked dailies and various activities for everyone that agreed to share their private info (= phone number). [u]A minority of users addressed their doubts about it one year ago, my...

i have to agree with this idea. it is slightly inconvenient transferring ec to side accounts too (having to make a lot/shop item etc) so this would be great to tackle that issue.

new feature for 2024? 😊

kudo • 28 November 2023 at 9:05 AM

i would personally appreciate such a feature if it existed. considering the skewed conversion rate at the moment, i am quite willing to bet certain people have stockpiles of ec. it would certainly make the egg life a lot easier to have easily transferable vouchers instead of going the long mile to s...

@Ian

Bump for awareness!

After a whole year, no alternative was offered and people that don't want to share sensitive privacy data on this site or that don't have a cell phone are still left behind and denied the opportunity of partecipating in dailies. As I stated one year ago, 2FA should be...

@shirothekittehlover
Wow i love it!! It looks so majestic and pretty, would love to see more phoenix creatures on the site. Art is amazing too. Good luck ❤️

canada_ploos • 26 November 2023 at 6:43 PM

Yup, I’m new here. I want to see what this site beholds, seems cool. Hello everyone!

discordia • 26 November 2023 at 2:20 AM

@provo7demons
That's actually pretty cool, it is weird but we didn't have enough orange/blue themed creatures on the site.

@newlife I'll remember to notify next time, but even If I notify, the name gets auto bought anyways, so I don't really see the point, sorry. ;w;

I also don't see how it isn't fair... everyone has a chance to bid. Auto-buy feature adds some spice and lets people with less time get a name without h...

@snowywinter I think names shouldn't be unique on the site, and that people should name their creatures any way they want. Yet, the reality is different and I myself paid CC for names in the past, so... yeah. c: Thanks for the luck!

daisycat • 20 November 2023 at 5:25 PM

Is it true that organizing your cove lists was previously completed by drag and drop, and it was changed to the current numbering system? Seems like it should have been the other way around. ^^'

Any possibility of the drag and drop feature returning? It would make it so much easier, faster, and w...

heatherm19 • 17 November 2023 at 8:24 PM

@spookyfrog Welcome to Eggcave! If you need any help or have any questions feel free to ask. There is a fairly detailed unofficial Newbie Guide if you want a better understanding of the site.

discordia • 17 November 2023 at 7:59 PM

I've never had a personal problem with how auctions are conducted, really the only problems I've ever seen on the internet regarding auctions in general are people with auto-bidding bots. We must all examine why auctions exist on this site. A seller takes the risk of an item going for less than what...

Happy birthday @twinkle!! Thanks for making this site a little brighter ❤️ I hope it's a lovely day with lots of cake ^^

Here's all my random guesses xD

1. I can't tell if you mean of your cove or of the archives so I'll guess both.
Teason (of yours) and Daffolyn
2. Poppy Plains
3. I'm goin...

@sabbaticaljester
Hi Jester! My name's Daisy. 😊 Welcome!! There is an Egg Cave fan site that lists types of creatures; here are the dragon and bird creature links:

https://eggcavity.com/indexes/creatures?category=Dragon

There is also a...

sabbaticaljester • 14 November 2023 at 8:12 AM

I think I may have been on this site at one point as it seems familiar, but I don't remember much about it if I was. Anyway, hello! I'm Sabbatical, but everyone calls me Jester, so you can too!
I love dragons and draconic based species, good books, and birds! Writing is one of my favorite hobbies a...

prettyiggy • 13 November 2023 at 8:52 PM

Thanks, discordia, glad you like them! Unfortunately you have to keep the https://emojipedia.org/ site open to take advantage of them, unless you can code. But there are alot more of them that might interest people here. Being among the retired set, I never had to learn coding, so it's handy to ha...

daisycat • 12 November 2023 at 6:09 PM

Showing my support for this again. 😊

I'd imagine it to be the same coding of a shop, except simpler! No links / items are not clickable, and, no prices.

Additionally, having links at the top for various sections would be great, so players can have multiple gallery themes. Very similar to cov...

@endrolled
As mentioned, it's just a "visual" bug and you only have to complete each task once. Actually, from my experience, you can not mark off the second set, regardless of what you do.

From what I can gather, it normally only happens to individuals, not the whole site, and it's one that I...

werewire • 10 November 2023 at 5:53 PM

@heatherm19 i was thinking about what another site i briefly played on had, i believe it was called pixpet or something like that? where bidding on a low-time auction would add 2 hours onto the time. though this could cause other problems like someone purposely extending an auction until the other u...

senkou • 10 November 2023 at 9:23 AM

@froot yo this looks amazing!! love the pastel colours and would love to see more pony creatures on site they are so pretty ❤️ what's the orange thing on it's tail though, quite curious haha

werewire • 10 November 2023 at 4:43 AM

i feel like having a wishlist on site would be very helpful esp since the fansite linked above isn't always fully updated with every species, when eggcave updates instantly with an archive entry when it adds something new

ida92 • 10 November 2023 at 2:05 AM

Hi!

So today while doing dailies I wanted to group my pets by items used, as I wanted to play with the ones who have the least in their collection. And I realised there was no such option. Would anyone else like to have this added to the site? Would it help some people?

Have a nice day! 😊

halitosis • 9 November 2023 at 6:24 PM

new here, we've been getting into click sites recently though they're not usually our thing... so far we really like the variety of creatures available and the general site layout. hope to see you all around out there.

ashlinnhi • 9 November 2023 at 10:10 AM

I'm very grateful to my sister for being here and making time for me amid her very busy schedule. We don't get to see each other much, but when we do it's always a real nice time spent connecting; I'm reminded that there is someone else who will understand and accept certain aspects of my life, and...

amazinggg stuff Saph and Sarah! the name, design and description are all adorable ❤️ the crochet theme is something real cute and unique, which i would love to see around the site!
