It's kind of sad that Miraculous is getting a Winx Club treatment to Nickelodeon. Magical Girl animes in America are not really getting good treatment, and I have to say that Miraculous Ladybug deserves some good screentime, because Sunday at 12 PM is practically a very busy time so not all get to watch Ladybug.Worst part, there's no Ladybug episodes for the time being. The only way of watching Ladybug is to find it online, but it's either in French or in Korean.PLEASE, NICK. LET LADYBUG BE SOMETHING GOOD.

The steamed buns worked! Very similar to making bread, but it's the cooking process that was new to me, and I was so happy with how they turned out. Will definitely try some filled ones next time, but I think I'm going to need a bigger steamer, like a 4-tier one or something (or I could just buy 4 normal ones and combine them).Aside from that, I've spent the whole morning writing! Found a site that's all about making characters and doing shared storywriting, which has been a bit of a blast from the past for me, as that's what I used to do years ago. Bit of a boring afternoon ahead however, as there's not much cooking to do, but tomorrow I might go shopping and stock up on vegetables, which we are in pretty dire need of right now. I'm making burritos this evening, and I've got most of it sorted already, so I just need to decide if I want to make anything extra.Have a great weekend everyone!

Who in here's obsessed with high fantasy books/movies/tv shows? I've always loved them and prefer them over realistic books or movies. 😊
crazyfeline • 12 March 2016 at 7:37 PM
@cyanicxx fantasy books I've always loved. The Deltora Quest series is one of my favourites, have you read those? 😊I don't watch a lot of TV shows, I'm pretty obsessed with once upon a time, does that count? 😊As for movies, fantasy is always good! 😃~.~.~.~.~.~.~.The cold weather is starting to hit. I spent yesterday at a friends watching movies and gaming. And today I'm painting. Cold days are the ones I prefer! 😊
noah • 14 March 2016 at 12:53 PM
@cyanicxx I love them! I've almost finished A Feast for Crows by George R. R. Martin, and the tv show (Game of Thrones) is going to be starting again next month, which is one of my favourites. There's two more books in the series that I haven't read yet, but I like not knowing everything that's going to happen before I see it in the programme. It's not for kids though...believe me.In cooking news, I've got two sauces ready to make chicken enchiladas later on, and I also had the random urge to make fairy cakes this morning, which I decorated with buttercream and mini eggs, so they look perfect for Easter!
myriadium • 14 March 2016 at 3:59 PM
@crazyfeline You read Deltora Quest?! Omergersh ME TOO!😱(My favorite character is Kree)
crazyfeline • 14 March 2016 at 10:04 PM
@greengrass100100 😱 😃 its like that series you find in every book store but no one actually knows what it is!! 😱Jasmine is my favourite character. 😊I think the series just kept getting better too! It wasn't one where you're waiting for it to end because its turned to rubbish. 😊
myriadium • 15 March 2016 at 5:13 PM
@crazyfeline OMG, so true! Did you read the Mangas?(I like Jasmine too..) 😃
crazyfeline • 15 March 2016 at 6:18 PM
@greengrass100100 nah, I could never get a hold of them. ☹️ I did watch the show though, that was good! 😊
myriadium • 15 March 2016 at 6:27 PM
@crazyfeline There was a SHOW?... Can you give me the URL?
crazyfeline • 15 March 2016 at 6:52 PM
@greengrass100100 I used to watch a few here, hopefully it all still works http://www.tv.com/shows/deltora-quest/watch/ 😊
myriadium • 15 March 2016 at 6:55 PM

crazyfeline • 15 March 2016 at 7:31 PM
@greengrass100100 I should really go get a creature from the cave and do that haha! 😊
myriadium • 15 March 2016 at 8:47 PM
@crazyfeline Agweed. (Agreed, baby language
cyanicxx • 16 March 2016 at 4:30 PM
@crazyfeline @noahNo, I've never read The Deltora Quest but I've heard that it's pretty good. I've also tried to watch Once Upon A Time but I never know what's going on.Now the TV show I'm mostly obsessed with is The Vampire Diaries. It is really good. The book series I'm reading is The Mortal Instruments that has a TV series and a movie along with it. You guys should check it out.
crazyfeline • 16 March 2016 at 11:42 PM
Bought a couple of potato cakes for lunch since I was driving around with a friend and we decided to grab something quick. Most oiliest thing I've eaten. I could only eat one. The paper bag was filled with oil, it was seriously the greasiest thing haha. Lost count of how many times pillow talk has been played on the radio. 😋
fakeworld • 17 March 2016 at 11:28 PM
@crazyfeline Omg Pillow Talk.. I'm tired of hearing it to be honest but that song is just so perfect ugh. His solo career going better than I thought it would go haha.I'm up craving some chicken+shrimp alfredo and strawberry lemonade.. The perfect combo for me right about now.
crazyfeline • 18 March 2016 at 9:35 AM
@fakeworld I'm so far from over it. I'm too excited for the album! I don't know if solo zayn is going better than I thought or at my expectations, its really good!!
mastergemma • 18 March 2016 at 7:18 PM
@nightmaremoon12 I grew up with the original run of Winx Club so when it started playing on tv again a few years ago I decided to watch and see how the series have been going. I must admit, this was a truly horrible experience as the CGI was rubbish and the storyline just became worse and worse@cyanicxx The Mortal Instruments is a very good series. I remember seeing Cassandra one time at a book signing. At the time, the series was up to Clockwork Prince and I haven't read anything past that@crazyfeline@fakeworldI still haven't heard the song once!
hashtagnight • 18 March 2016 at 7:25 PM
@mastergemma I agree with you.But seriously, every magical girl show that Nickelodeon has they just throw it in the trash can and forget about it. Ladybug's a good show in France and Korea, but it deserves more attention. (and a better time slot) Besides. Ladybug's a really good show. BETTER YET, ORIGIN EPISODES APPEAR A FEW MONTHS AFTER PILOT EPISODE. I've been thinking about watching other magical girl shows as well.
cyanicxx • 18 March 2016 at 9:46 PM
@mastergemma Yeah i've only read the first book. I have watched the movie and I really loved it. They should have continued with the movie series but the TV show is pretty good too.One of my other favourites is the Percy Jackson movies and books. I don't know if they are making a third movie on it. I wish they do. Any recommendations for other fantasy books or movies?
hashtagnight • 19 March 2016 at 5:30 AM
@cyanicxx Not sure about another Percy Jackson movie... I've been reading Heroes of Olympus which is the followup to PJO, but stopped reading it. I'm currently reading the Maze Runner Series, and since it's shorter than PJO and HoO, I can binge read.I also read The Giver Quartet, but is currently paused for not having Messenger and I'm not skipping to Son.Maybe I should read other books.Unrelatated, I've been watching the 'history of japan' video and well... HOW BOUT I DOOOOOOOOOOO...watch it again!
crazyfeline • 19 March 2016 at 6:12 AM
Yesterday was my friends leaving party/other friend's 19th. So many funny moments. I love my friends so much and catching up with almost everyone as a group again was fun. My best friend and I befriended a cat.I got knocked down a few times by people hugging me.I'm looking forward to the easter holidays because my uni friends will be back.
noah • 19 March 2016 at 6:38 AM
So I made steamed buns again yesterday, only I did filled ones this time and ACED it, I was so happy with them. I based them on the sweet version made with adzuki beans, but we didn't have any and I wanted them to be savory, so I used kidney beans instead. I've been keen to try them for forever, ever since seeing them in Spirited Away, where they looked so delicious (though in fairness, so does ALL the food in that film). Can confirm, they are amazing. Also made a dipping sauce with some soy, rice vinegar and sweet chilli for them. I still need a bigger steamer though 😃We have a metric ton of jambalaya left over from the other day, so today I think I'm going to make stuffed peppers or rice bowls with veggies. I was thinking about doing some weird arancini, but I might save that one for next time. Have a great weekend everyone!
cyanicxx • 19 March 2016 at 6:42 AM
@nightmaremoon12 I like the Percy Jackson movies because they were based on Greek mythology so I thought that was cool. A lot of people say that Percy Jackson is copying Harry Potter but I personally don't see the resemblance. Is The Giver Quartet also a movie? Because i've heard of the movie 'The Giver". Is it the same?
hashtagnight • 19 March 2016 at 8:04 AM
@cyanicxx The Giver books and movies are not really alike. Only the first book is the movie but I doubt they'll make a movie about Gathering Blue, Messenger, or Son.But a few differences in between is thatJonas is older in the movies, but younger in the books. One of his [Jonas] friends is actually a traitor in the movie. but served little to no purpose in the books. Probably to give the movie some action.Fiona is released in the movies, but not in the books. The books came first. To be honest, I dislike the PJO movies. It felt inaccurate to the book, which is a shame. Also, we have Thalia, who we won't possibly see for years, since the fate of another movie is unknown.
cyanicxx • 19 March 2016 at 9:35 PM
@nightmaremoon12 Yeah I remember seeing the Giver trailer on TV. Is the book or the movie better?I did like the PJO books better than the movies though. The books seemed more interesting and detailed.

Morning everyone! Having a lovely, lazy Sunday so far, and I'm looking forward to a roast dinner later on, which will be pork with some other bits and pieces. I made sourdough yesterday, which went really well, and I've been watching a few programmes about it lately that have made me want to get a huge kneading/proving bowl, which look a bit like platters, and they last forever. I could get myself a new steamer while I'm at it, as I'm sure it would come in useful! Really want to make some stuffed peppers in the next few days to use up some leftovers, and I quite like the idea of making veggie chilli to go with it, since that always goes down well.Other than that, I'm cracking on with a ton of writing, and trying to think of other ways to use notebooks, because I have millions of the things just gathering dust (already got one for recipes, before anyone asks 😋) Have a great day!
hashtagnight • 20 March 2016 at 4:47 AM
@cyanicxx The books are better. The movie's too predictive, maybe because I read the book, and the book is very intresting.
fakeworld • 21 March 2016 at 4:23 PM
@noah I wish I had as much energy to cook as often as you lol. I sometimes have to really drag myself to cook certain things and I honestly don't know why.. I'm not a lazy person! Watching the cooking channel or reading a few cooking books is what get me up and moving.Mother nature confused at this point. We had a whole week of warmth recently, and I'm talking about high 70s and early 80s.. Now it's back in the 30s and was snowing last night. I'm over it lol.
