@mastergemma hey!! ๐ year 12 was torture. I've never been much of a school loving person. I'm glad I finished it though. ๐@llamalover111 is this a good or bad dream? Either way, I'm laughing. ๐I'm meant to be going out to a friends soon but I'm just sitting here on my phone. I've worked long hours all week and I just don't feel like leaving my house.
llamalover111 • 26 February 2016 at 10:19 PM
@crazyfelineWell, after I told my teacher today she laughed her butt off any told my other teacher "should we give her lunch detention now or later?"
mastergemma • 26 February 2016 at 10:51 PM
@crazyfeline I completed yr12 not too long ago and I was going to cry with the score I got. I was barely accepted into my course and I'm just ecstatic that I got into the University I wanted to get into because now I have been accepted into the Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Arts Double Degree!@llamalover111 That's one of the funniest things I've heard. I remember once I had a dream in primary school and the class was playing block soccer and softball. Congratulations for the two months on EggCave! While we're all talking about our school years, the librarian told my twin sister that she thought she was a year 7 when she was in year 12. Apparently at 17 years of age, I still look like I'm 13. And I thought I was extremely bad with guessing a person's age. Well, I hope now that I look more my age.
crazyfeline • 27 February 2016 at 1:08 AM
@llamalover111 hahahaha! Oh gosh. :') @mastergemma congratulations! ๐ even though it wasn't a score you wanted, it got you in. ๐ Those things don't define intelligence, they're just ridiculously unfair. I didn't get an amazing score since I don't need to go to uni, or want to, so I never put in that effort. But it wasn't awful either. What do you want to do in the future once you've finished studying? ๐I remember year 9 when some year 12s saw me and asked if I needed help finding the year 7 lockers. We used to be told to help year 7s find their way around and I got mistaken for one. :/ I'm almost 19 now and apparently look 15-16.. But as people have said to me, in the future it'll be a good thing if you look younger than you are. ๐

I accidentally broke a thing while we were in a supermarket.Thankfully, it was a small cheap holiday item, so it costed around $1.30 something dollars?Hey, it fell on accident, and I'm clumsy, so...*You feel bad breaking an item with your hands.

Today is the 20th anniversary of Pokรฉmon. Are any of you excited for Sun and Moon? I'm not very hyped, but the majority seems to be.
aardbeix3 • 27 February 2016 at 12:17 PM
Good evening eggcavers!@sparklefox I loved Pokรฉmon in the old days, Pokรฉmon blue/red/yellow (you know, when Pikachu follows you arround). But now, not so much.
rurukis • 27 February 2016 at 11:23 PM
Hi, everyone! I'm new to the #Shoutbox ๐@sparklefox I'm really excited for them! It's always interesting to see what kinds of new Pokemon will be introduced along with the region and potential new Mega Evolutions. On a related note, I participated in the Pokken Tournament Early Access competition at GameStop today. It was amazing how many people showed up and stood outside for hours and hours just for a chance to compete and play the game. One person even camped out overnight in front of the store! I was lucky to even get a spot within the 32 slots.Unfortunately, I was taken out by a Lucario player in the semi-finals, but it was a really great experience. Anyone looking forward to Pokken Tournament?
crazyfeline • 28 February 2016 at 3:09 AM
@nightmaremoon12 I work in a supermarket. I broke a light bulb once while trying to tidy that shelf. I told the manager who was like "oh, okay. Just put it in the pile of broken things." I felt so bad, but no one even cared..Today I hung out with my best friend. I have a puppy so after lunch we picked him up and took him to her house so he could play with her dog. The two dogs got on so well, home now and mines asleep. Big day for him. ๐ธI have work tomorrow morning until late afternoon and I can't be bothered. -.- oh well, it's money.

@sparklefoxI'm actually considering getting a 3DS because of that announcement- I haven't played a Pokemon game in ages, but I really want to get back into it and catch up with everything I've missed! I'm old enough to remember the red/blue release, and asking for a Gameboy colour for my birthday just so I could play it, when the only ones in stock were the yellow Pikachu versions, which made it even more amazing. I would spend hours playing at a time, and I still have a soft spot for pixel graphics to this day because of that. Can't wait to see the new games and everything they've done while I've been catching up with technology ^^

Hope everyone's having a great sunday!
crazyfeline • 29 February 2016 at 7:41 AM
I'm trying to decide between playing tomb raider and going to sleep. Hmm.
noah • 29 February 2016 at 10:43 AM
Having a bit of a laid back day today. I've made a curry for this evening, and I'll start on the sides in a couple of hours- including mushroom skewers, rice, and a courgette salad, which I'm really excited about. I've just finished watching the first episode of Cooked on Netflix after hearing good things about it, and enjoyed it a lot! Very similar to Chef's Table, if anyone was a fan of that series.I'm also faffing with D&D characters (yay warlocks!) despite being too chicken to ever actually use Roll20, but hopefully I'll find a real group someday to ease me in to it. The handbook is tremendously useful for character design, even if you don't end up using them in a game. Have a great Monday everyone!
aardbeix3 • 29 February 2016 at 1:46 PM
@noah sounds very yum! I just ate and you made me hungry again! D:btw, is it friday yet โน๏ธ
noah • 1 March 2016 at 11:03 AM
@aardbeix3 Thank you! I'm frying some garlic mushrooms right now (to put on pizzas later) and it smells SO GOOD in my kitchen, it's unreal. I've also just marinaded some cooked beef strips in chilli and soy sauce (again for later), which I can't wait to try. My pizza dough is proving really slowly, though, which might be because it's so cold today, and I can't keep it by the window like I normally do. I'm making four this time round (I think my record is five?) so things might get a little crazy when it comes to assembling them before dinner, but as long as I get all my prep done, I'll be fine. Other than that, I've been carrying on with D&D work, which has earned my character a name, a backstory, and a change of class...to sorcerer! Nerd moment, but there is an ENTIRE PAGE of stuff that can happen if you roll a 1, and it's awesome. I've been using HeroMachine 3 to get an idea of what my guy looks like, which I strongly recommend to anyone interested in that sort of thing. Very fun, even just to mess around with. Back to business I go!
aardbeix3 • 3 March 2016 at 1:06 PM
@noah oh my gawd, pizza โค๏ธIt's been like forever since I ate Pizza โน๏ธAnd today at work two people ordered pizza, THE SMELL I SWEAR โน๏ธUhm, I feel like a noob, but what's D&D? ๐ธI just bought Fable The Lost Chapters, I felt nostalgic๐I'm installing it right now ๐
noah • 3 March 2016 at 2:54 PM
@aardbeix3D&D stands for Dungeons and Dragons, which is a fantasy roleplaying game where you play the part of a character in a medieval-inspired setting. With a group of friends, you tell the story of your character's adventures, and use dice to determine the outcome of encounters (which will usually involve monsters of some kind!)
firegirl • 4 March 2016 at 3:52 PM
Hallo all o/ Is it just me or is eggcave practically dead? >->
noah • 4 March 2016 at 4:45 PM
It's certainly been quiet these past few days, but I wouldn't call it dead. In other news, gosh I'm tired. Work plus shopping for Mother's Day gifts (UK version, don't panic rest of world) with the most snow I've seen in over two years has left me exhausted. I got everything done though, which is a good feeling! I'm looking forward to the weekend when I get to cook and write more, and maybe do some crafts of some sort. Have a lovely Friday everyone ^^
lailaluckyseal87 • 5 March 2016 at 4:26 PM
PARTY TIME?XD
noah • 6 March 2016 at 5:33 AM
Happy Mother's day to everyone in the UK!I might be cooking today, but I'm not sure yet- I want to make a dessert though, or something special that I can get creative with. I've done loads of writing this morning though, which I'm really proud of. I have three characters on the go, and have written pieces for two of them, so it feels great to be productive, especially on a Sunday!
crazyfeline • 7 March 2016 at 4:52 AM
Got my car serviced today. I feel really good that that's out of the way. Not that its a trouble, but now I don't have to worry about my car for another year assuming nothing goes wrong with it. ๐ธI also watched the lady in a van today while waiting for my car...did not enjoy it. Anyone else seen it yet? They couldn't pick me up from down the street and it was too far to walk so I had to get a taxi back, the driver was beyond chatty talking about all the upcoming movies he wants to see hahaha. Hope everyone has had a nice day! ๐
noah • 7 March 2016 at 7:13 AM
I succeeded yesterday! Made a whole roast dinner (Chicken, potatoes, Yorkshire puddings, beans, carrots and gravy) and managed to make biscotti for the first time ever, which was a learning experience, for sure! Today I'm making a pie out of the leftovers, so I'll start on the pastry soon so it has time to chill. I've made cookie ice cream as well, also for the first time ever, which is really exciting, but I have to churn it once an hour for the next four hours, so hopefully it all goes well ๐Enjoy your Mondays, everyone!
aardbeix3 • 7 March 2016 at 4:16 PM
@noah oh ofcourse, I know Dungeons & Dragons! ๐ I never played it though!
mastergemma • 8 March 2016 at 8:08 AM
@noah Dungeons and dragons does sound interesting. I may play it one day if I can get a few friends to join me. I wish that I could cook, I've never been good at it and it was my only class that I actually received an F (under 50%) in. I always followed the instructions but I either confuse the sugar and the salt (or other similar ingredients) or it's pasta. Pasta is easily the most difficult to cook as I always overcook it. I cannot wait for more information about Pokemon Sun and Moon. Or more Pokemon things in general. For a class at University all the students had to go count kangaroos in a nearby sanctuary. It was so amazing seeing so many kangaroos, a giant hare, a fox, a few skinks and many monarch butterflies and bugs. The end count was around 130. I wish I had a camera to take photos, there were so many wonderful opportunities! Oh, and how could I forget about the birds! I saw quite a few different species but they were all common throughout where I live. Hopefully next week I will remember to bring a camera as I need to collect kangaroo pellets.
fakeworld • 8 March 2016 at 8:23 AM
@mastergemma That sounds so cool. I watched a 1 hour long documentary about kangaroos about a month ago.. I love them so much. But yes, please bring a camera next time lol.
ushafuse • 9 March 2016 at 8:10 AM
Woo, the solar eclipse was today ๐
noah • 9 March 2016 at 1:03 PM
@mastergemmaThe weird thing is, it was exactly the same for me at school. I had an awful Home Economics teacher who was just the worst, and it didn't make me want to get engaged with cooking at all. Years later, I just had the urge one day to make bread- so I did, and ended up with this enormous loaf that was barely cooked in the middle, but I was SO proud of myself for doing it, I didn't even care. That was the start of it, for me. I realised how fun cooking could be, and that it was much less scary being in a kitchen without a teacher shouting at you for every little thing you didn't know. Slowly, I learned techniques and skills, and got given more opportunities to cook for my family, which is so, so fulfilling, and has made me miles more confident in what I do. It really is an amazing hobby ๐
crazyfeline • 10 March 2016 at 6:00 AM
One of my close friends is moving five hours away and I'm so happy he has a job but so upset. Another friend has moved an hour away and another one 3 hours away. I just don't like seeing everyone go. One hour and three hours isn't too bad, since I can visit for the day and o can they, but five hours is kind of a lot. But oh well, that'd just me being a sook, I'm really happy for these friends. ๐
noah • 11 March 2016 at 10:52 AM
Well, it's a bit late in the day, but I've decided to make steamed buns to go with my vermicelli, and I've never made them before, and it could all go horribly wrong, but I have high hopes! If they work out, I'm going to try the filled ones in future, with meat or vegetables. My aim is to get more use out my poor, neglected bamboo steamer, so I think more Chinese food is in order ๐
