She's spent far too many years with this bottled up inside of her, and besides, shape shifting isn't natural for a pony. As soon as she gets it out of her system, she'll be fine, though her power has a good likelihood of disappearing. If she'd taken care of herself when she was younger, this wouldn't even be a problem. Now, let's continue our game."

Suddenly Umber's cry rose to an unbearable screech; she was shifting faster now. The world spun before her; all she could see was white. The pain was excruciating. All she could think was: 'Am I dying?'All of a sudden, it stopped. And she was still there, still Umber. Still in the cage. But beside her stood Umberisk, a separate entity.And it began again, Umberisk going through the same pain. Umberisk fell, hard. Her head hit with a sickening thud, but she didn't cry out. Umber's crying began again, the same bloodcurdling pitch, while Umberisk simply sat, clutching her head with whatever front limbs she had in each form she took.It hurt. It hurt so much. But Umberisk wouldn't cry out, wouldn't burden the others with her pain. They didn't need it; it wouldn't help them. Umberisk bunched her limbs close together, clutching her head tightly to her knees. Ragged breaths were drawn between forms; it seemed like the only thought that could transfer was 'hurt.' But it didn't matter; surely it would end soon?@Ems@SSTwins@SSTwinz@Magenta@Sandstorm99Will probably go to bed after this.

No point in arguing if Discord had all the power. At least... At least something good was happening. Umberisk had separated from Umber, but seemed to be in awful pain. It made Shadow's heart hurt. Surely it'd end soon.

Just as suddenly as it had started, it was over. A new entity stood on Umberisk's other side: Aster. Her pelt was pure white, her mane a pale shade of blue. Her eyes were like crystals, a white shade that reflected the blue within. Her Pegasus wings unfurled uncertainly; she had no clue why she was there with her two other forms. Her whip-like tail had a dulled end; obviously she was made for ending war, not waging it.Umber glared daggers at the newcomer, obviously displeased with the part of her that had caused her such pain."Why are YOU here?" she snarled contemptuously.Umberisk sat in that same position, cradling her head, breath coming in ragged gasps. She was racked with sobs, sputtering and coughing with the pain. Yet somehow she stayed silent. Well, except for her coughing and breathing, that is.@Ems@Magenta@Sandstorm99@SSTwins@SSTwinzGoodnight!

"What in the name of Celestia..." She muttered to herself. Three Umberisks... or... Shadow's mind scrambled a bit. So... There was Umber, Uberisk, and who, exactly? Shadow just shook her head. "I shouldn't be surprised anymore." She mumbled.

He could deal.Discord, on the other hand, was getting pretty ticked. "If you're quite done separating your soul, some ponies are trying to participate in a game. Now, pony who's name escapes me, play. Or we'll be forced to skip you and have me pull information out of your mind. As Pepper here can tell you, it feels very unpleasant."

"I could ask you the same thing," Aster responded quietly, her voice soft, angelic. "You're obviously causing Umberisk a lot of pain."At this she raised one wing towards a shuddering Umberisk.Umber growled with annoyance; Aster was naught but a butterfly in her eyes: beautiful, graceful, but easily crushed. She could not fight back.Grinning, she shifted. Her form melted away into that of a black dragon with red plates on her belly and crimson ridges on her back, scarlet eyes glaring at everything around her. Her leathery wings unfurled, her special tail curling threateningly over her back while her dragon tail lashed from side to side. She hissed at Aster, then proceeded to draw in a breath.The blast that followed would have killed Aster, had she not side-stepped out of the cage. Instead of hitting their unarmed target, the flames were harmlessly absorbed into the bars of the cage, not even heating them with their touch. Aster giggled mirthlessly as Umber growled frustratedly.@Ems@SSTwins You were on, WHY YOU NO RESPOND??? XD@SSTwinz@Magenta ... Did you die?@Sandstorm99 Haroooo? Anybody theeerre?

@sstwins@whitefire@SSTwinz@Magenta@Sandstorm99--Shadow scowled at the cage, agreeing with Discord. The sooner they'd stop fighting, the sooner she could get back to the game. And the sooner she got back to the game, the sooner Shadow might get out of the castle.Shadow was just frustrated now. More frustrated than she'd ever been. Her mommy didn't love her, she had no daddy, and she was stuck in a stupid castle with a bunch of strangers! She wanted to scream. She wanted to fight. And she was close to wanting to kill. Shadow's frown grew bigger by the moment, until her face was nothing but a scowl full of hate. She stared at the floor.

Aster's face warped with immense concentration. She had to find the part of her that remembered how to fight. She searched throughout herself, discarding irrelevant information as she thought. It was somewhere...Suddenly she felt herself begin to morph. It was painless, effortless, requiring nothing more than a brilliantly white flash of light before she became a dragon.Then it was there. She tapped into the concentrated ball of energy, and a flash of white light flashed through the room, bursting through to the other side of the cage, blasting Umber with its purity. The bars shivered; Umber flashed a lighter colour, her eyes going slightly blue. She looked small, vulnerable, sad. But the second was over and she looked like the true goddess of death, everything about her sparking anger and hatred, and desire to kill.@Ems@SSTwins@SSTwinz@Magenta@Sandstorm99

@Sandstorm99Discord started a game, Umberisk somehow morphed into Umber, Discord caged her, Umber started shape shifting like crazy (in a very painful way), she was split from Umberisk, then Aster was drawn out as well, and now they're fighting while Discord continues the game.

@whitefire Wow. That sounds confusing!Midnight Splash turned her head to listen to Discord. But the words came in through one ear, and out through the other. All she could think about was the little foal she bothered on the train ride. SOmething seemed weird about that. When a sudden snap from Discord came, it immediantly left her brain, and once again she sat to listen quietly to the game she was in.

But please, try to be civil. Go back to normal form and no fighting in the ballroom. Now, we're continuing our game." Discord glared at that other mare. "Play. Now."Summary: Well, Lightning won that trivia game and was sent back to Ponyville. She forgot everyone. We started a new game called Lie Lie Truth where you tell two lies and 1 truth and the next pony guesses. Order of playing is Shadow, then Pepper, then Discord, then Umberisk, then you. Lightning and Pepper were revealed to have feelings for one another. Umberisk is crazily shape-shifting and has split into 3 parts. Two of them are trapped in a cage Discord built out of all of the love and hope in Equestria, one part is free. I think 2 of them are dragons. Discord is keen on starting the game again, and it's your turn.

"My mother was a dear friend of Princess Celestia and was her best friend." She bit her inside cheek nervously. "And I used to have wings before they were banished because I was being bad."

"I, for one, don't want to sit and watch multiple personalities to at each others' throats. The sooner we all calm down, the sooner we might leave. So my suggestion is that you pipe down, drop the attitude, and just let us play the stupid game in peace!" She snarled, wings flaring out.

Aster glanced at Shadow before shooting out a beam of white light at her. It was liquid calm, purity, serenity... All of what Aster represented was contained in that beam, and she shot it knowing that it would not harm Shadow, but would provide her with peace... "You're going to have to do much better that that," he took a moment to both demonstrate his power and get information by digging in the mare's mind for her name, "Midnight Splash. Now, do your turn again, and this time, play for real." He turned to face Aster. "Didn't I tell you to return to normal form? And what did I say about fire in the ballroom?!?"

She didn't want lies. She was tired of being told what to do. And she was sick of having the constant war with herself and others. Ignoring Discord and Midnight Splash, she glared daggers at Aster. "I don't need your lies." She spat, and finally tore her glare away. Not having love was bad enough. But having false hope? Fake serenity?Please. Shadow didn't need any more lies.

And you also realize that Umberisk won't fight back?"As she spoke, Umber drew in a breath, flames flicking out of her mouth like a forked tongue, ready to consume whatever they touched."Not on my watch," Aster hissed, feathered wings flaring. You're giving me a headache!" He made a split second decision and teleported the cage with Umber and Umberisk into the hall. He then shut the door and locked it. "There, distraction removed. Now, continue playing." Sorry for such a late post!! 😱

Umber gasped as she was thrown against the wall of the cage, which had been tossed into the hall. She spat out a few drops of blood as she sat up, glaring at Umberisk."This is your fault," she whispered as she edged over to Umberisk. Then she drew back with a snarl, tiny licks of flame whispering out of her bared teeth. Then she drew in an almighty breath and let it out with a giant ball of fire, heading straight towards Umberisk.Umberisk the wolf sat, head buried between her legs, waiting for the flames to hit, to destroy her. She wasn't scared, no--it was impossible for her to fear; she had lost all emotions except for sadness in her depression. So when the flames hit, she didn't flinch, didn't scream, just let them burn. But somehow she wasn't scorched. The fire washed over her curled form, yet she never felt a thing. And when they died out, she still sat, alive and well.

Lightning Bolt sat on a stone wall, dejected. It was looking like she'd never find the ponies that she needed to defeat Discord. And there was that slightly itchy feeling inside of her skull, like she had forgotten something really important that she needed to remember. She sighed and kicked her hooves a little against the back of the wall. Behind her, she heard the sound of hooves clopping against the hill by her wall, then stopping right before the pony was in Lightning's line of vision. Without turning around, Lightning started talking to the pony. "Have you ever felt completely hopeless? Like things are never going to go your way no matter how hard you try?" The pony, it was an older mare, spoke out from behind her with a voice like buttered honey. "Everyone feels like that sometimes. But you have to trust that everything will improve in time. You just might have to wait a while." Surprised at the beautiful sound of the mare's voice, Lightning turned her head to see her. A gorgeous cream colored pony stood behind her. She was a little bit taller than the average pony, and had very pale yellow hair falling in a bob over her head. Her eyes were a lovely light green, like sea foam. She had no wings or horn, but the name earth pony did not do her justice. She was like a heavenly being that had decided to grace Ponyville with her presence. She seemed to radiate an aura that practically made her glow. Lightning took a quick gasp of breath, shocked at the mare's overwhelming beauty. "Speaking of waiting, I own a spa on the outskirts of Ponyville. I could give you a treatment for free, if you're interested." The mare spoke again, somehow her voice even more perfect than before. Lightning nodded slowly, mesmerized by the sheer flawlessness of the mare. She hopped off of the wall and fell the few feet to the ground. Before she even knew what she was doing, she had nuzzled up to the mare, rubbing her head against her coat. Her head came up to about the mare's neck. She smelled great, like vanilla mixed with the scents of freshly washed sheets and the time directly after a rain. Lightning tried to nuzzle even closer, hoping that maybe some of the amazing scent would rub off on her if she tried hard enough. Too late, Lightning realized what she was doing and pulled away. The mare said nothing, just smiled at Lightning and laughed a little, the sound like rich bell chimes. The two set off together, Lightning again pressed up against the mare's body.

@sstwins Should Shadow just guess so the game can end? .-.@sstwinz I have a really bad feeling about that.@sandstorm99 @whitefire--Shadow thought a moment. "I guess that the last statement is true." She said quietly, giving the mare a curious look which seemed to say; "Me too." But even if Shadow hadn't wanted to come here, anywhere she could've gone would have been no different. So she shoved the bitter thoughts away, hoping that if she thought positive, that something good would finally come her way.
