Cael grumbled. A ghost accidentally passed through him and it felt like a giant bucket of ice water was dumped on his head. He shuddered and kept looking around.

Sarah merrily skipped into the line. Miles smiled as the ghosts zoomed around. But then they called for them to get in a line...... Miles relucantly got in the line.

The Great Hall was lot by thousands and thousands of floating candles, unflickering and casting a golden light all over. There were four long tables, one for each house, Kitty guessed, and one at the end where the staff were sitting. Weatherby lead them right up below the staff table, so they were facing all the school in a line, who stared up at them. Luckily Kitty didn't get stagefright. Looking upwards, Kitty saw that the hall appeared to have no roof, as she could see the stars. However, no rain reached the floor so she had to conclude it was magic.Then Weatherby placed a very old, frayed and dirty wizard hat atop a small stool, and everyone stared at that instead, to Kitty's mild relief.

To Kitty's utter amusement, the Sorting Hat began to SING. Unfortunately she didn't hear a word as she was using all her effort to keep the laughter in.(DON'T make me type all that Dx)

Felix clamped a hand over his mouth. Finally, he started chuckling from the utter ridiculousness. Then, he pulled his coat together and acted as if he didn't do anything.

The whole hall burst into applause as the hat finished it's song. It bowed to each of the four tables then became quite still again. Kitty feel like laughing hysterically with relief. They only had to try on an old singing hat? Yet, she didn't know which house she could possibly fit in. None seemed to describe her, from her perspective.So Griffyndors are brave and daring, Hufflepuff loyal and fair, Ravenclaw smart and... Smart, and Slytherin cunning.She sighed, as Weatherby stepped forward. "When I call your name, you will put on the hat and sit down on the stool to be sorted," he said. "Ashley, Harnett!"A boy Kitty recognized as Nick's friend sat down on the stool, the hat far too big for him. A second later, the hat yelled, "GRIFFINDOR!"

Sitting on the stool, pose awkward in front of the other people, Bayden almost winced when the hat was placed on his head. He almost melted with relief when it yelled out "RavenClaw."//I think that's been my shortest post, lololol//
