Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry~ A Harry Potter RP.

This RP is set 50 years after the events of the last the Deathly Hallows. You are a eleven (or ten turning) year old child living in Britain. You may either come from a wizarding (half-blood or more) family or a muggle (non-magical) one. If the former you have known that you will be attending Hogwarts- School of Witchcraft and Wizardry for your whole life, or if the latter you will be surprised by the arrival of a letter via post as follows:

"HOGWARTS SCHOOL OF WITCHCRAFT AND WIZARDRY

Headmaster: Minerva McGonagall

Dear (Insert your charries name),
We are pleased to inform you that you have a place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment.
Term begins on 1 September. We switch your owl by no later than 31 July.

Deputy Headmaster"

Your muggle parents (in this case) or caretakers are either grudging or proud. A teacher from the school will come to help you get your school supplies from Diagon Alley. However, if you are from a wizarding family, your parents will of course take you themselves.

Rules:
* You must be a SERIOUS roleplayer, or you will be rejected. Mail me a sample of your writing if we have not met 😊
* No knowledge of the books or movies is required.
* Usual RP rules- Power playing, Godmodding= OUT!
* Max of 7 characters- But you may only start with ONE. You may add others slowly.
* NO RPing as someone related to a character from the books I.e. Francesca Potter, Harry Potter's granddaughter. Obviously I'll let you be Ludo Bagman's grandson, but there ARE limits.
* NO having magical items such as the Marauder's Map, the Invisibility Cloak or the Philosopher's Stone in your possession without my permission.

And one of my OC's, Chryssie [Chrysanthemum], is half druid/half witch - Can I use her?

If so, she has an affinity for nature. Meaning she doesn't control nature, but animals go to her easily, almost dead plants start to re-grow under her care, etc etc

Kitty stared at the peeling wallpaper with distaste and let the minutes tick by. In less than hour, she'd be eleven. She turned and scowled into her pillow. As if it would make a fog of difference. She'd still be living in this mangy crumbling old orphanage with peeling wallpaper until she found a job, if she ever found one, if it paid well enough to get out.
She tossed and turned, trying to find a comfortable position on the lumpy bed. Maybe everything will look brighter in the morning, she thought sarcastically.

Description: Light blonde hair, almost white, with a light green stripe going down the left lock. Light pink eyes. Pale skin. Three black stripes on her cheeks that glow when she's using her powers. She's really really short.
Family: Half druid/Half witch
Talents: Transfiguration, Herbology, Potions
Other: Because she's half druid, she attached herself to a plant. Not like how her father lives inside a tree, as most druid's do, but just felt a connection with it and kept it. She doesn't treat it like a pet - but rather as a precious item. It's a Night Queen, and goes with here everywhere. Chryssie allows no one to touch the Night Queen without permission.
Also, she has an affinity for nature, and can control/heal nature to a degree.
Like nature, she has terrible mood swings when something bad [In her book] happens

I know, I like to have a basic thing down of her powers in general, be it now or in the "future" [RP future] so that people don't get confused xD

Tis a habit I learned when I was a new RPer.

I'm trying to mix her druid self in 😸 Most of the stuff I posted came from her father [Druid]'s blood. I tried to leave the Witch side over.

@taffy789 Muggle born means your parents weren't a witch and wizard, they were non-magic humans which witches and wizards refer to as "Muggles". This means she has no knowledge of the existence of magic, unless she is weird and believes in it xD

@smilies - I know what Muggles are, Shesh, I got to the part where all the Owls are attacking, and Hadgrid says, "You're a wizard, Harry." but that's about it. XD
