Didn't in the beginning when the thief shop opened egg cave said you have a higher chance of getting a real one from a higher priced one than a lower priced one?

From what I could see from the discussions, someone got the first TS creature for ~200k, then someone got a dud for 100k so.. no clue

After discussing the Thief Shop and the relationship between successful eggs and "duds," we were wondering if you might be so kind as to share with us the code used to generate the eggs or the chance vs price for a successful egg.
Is a <100kec egg just as likely to be successful as a >450kec egg?
Are there more >450kec eggs in the shop than <100kec eggs?
What is the chance behind receiving a refund and its percentage of the price?
