"I'm from a smaller village. We are hidden away from those monsters, but one day one suddenly appeared out of nowhere and attacked us. We need help to defeat it." She shakily hands Rayne a hand drawn map. "Please..." Her voice was barely a whisper.

"Please help my village." The woman says quietly. Her breathing becomes shallow and her eyes close. "Hey! Stay with us!" Rayne shakes her. She doesn't move. "No...she's..." Ranye's voice trails off. "We couldn't save her."

Jean looks down, his tail between his legs. "Well it's not like we can ignore it. This was a cry for help." He says softly.

"R-right." Rayne tries to keep his voice from shaking. He hadn't seen anyone die in front of him since his sister passed. He tries to hold back tears. He didn't even know this woman, and yet...

"I'm..fine." Rayne replies, trying to regain his composure. He looks at the map the woman gave him. "It looks like the village is deep in the mountains."

Niall looks down at the ground as the woman takes her last breath. This wasn't the first time he's seen death, and it wont be the last, but that didn't make the deaths any easier. "Yeah. We need to protect the village."

Rayne finally calms himself down. "We need to go in this direction." He points towards the trees.

Rayne pushes branches out of his way. This forest was a lot denser than it looked. His clothes were constantly getting pulled by twigs. The area up ahead was more rocky. "I think we're getting close." He tells the others.

I finish cutting the pawpaw and sit down on a cushion to eat it. “I know it’s not much, but make yourselves comfortable while you’re here,” I say. I look over at Serafina. I wanted to ask her more about what she had been doing and where she had been living, but I didn't want to accidently ask her a question that would turn out personal.

Rayne could feel himself getting tired. He sits on a rock to catch his breath. "I think I need a break." He says. He spots an ruined house in the distance. "Hey, why don't we stop down there and rest?" He suggests.

Jean nods. "Sounds fine to me." He sniffs around the house. It smelled abandoned.

Serafina nods and sits down on an old blanket in the corner. "Thank you." She says. She felt a little out of place.

Rayne walks up the house. It was in pretty bad shape. It looked like it was ready to collapse at any moment. Rayne didn't feel very safe around this house and it didn't look like there was anything useful here. He considers finding a different place to rest until a cellar door catches his eye. "Hey, I think there's something over here."

Jean follows and then walks around the perimeter. "Really?" He looks down at the door. "Should we open it?" He asks.
