Yoshi looked up as Clythia asked her if she would sit at the table she was at. Yoshi shrugged, "be my guest," she said simply. She had grabbed two more chicken legs after finish her first. She has never had so much food in the last 11 years. She ate the chicken to the bone and even chomped on it for the bone marrow.

Yoshi looked at her confused, "a what?" she asked. It was brown but what kind of name was brownie? "It's edible right?" Yoshi asked, cautiously taking the brown cube.

"Yep, it's edible." I giggle at her confusion. "Brownies are actually just chocolate cake cut in smaller pieces. I'm not sure if these ones have nuts, you're not allergic to any kind of nuts are you?"

Together, they finish cutting the paper into rectangles. Mircea puts them in a bowl. He gets up and walks over to the kids eating at the table. “Pick three colors,” he says. “There is blue, green, yellow, red, and orange.” Maliha stands up. She notices that some of the kids have left. She wasn’t going to let that stand. “Everyone! Please come into the main room! When everyone is finished eating, we will be doing a quick activity so we can get to know each other’s names and a little about you. We will go to bed afterwards, I promise. You have a busy day tomorrow,” she calls.





I push away the rest of my food. I wasn’t hungry anymore. I place the place in the sink to be washed later. I grab 3 pieces of paper, red, green, and blue. I really didn’t want to do their activity, but I saw no way out of it. I walk over to the couches were Maliha was and almost sit down, but decide I didn’t want to be crowded on a couch with other people. I stand in the corner instead. I look at the paper and wonder what activity we were going to do. They were just plain pieces of paper, no writing on them or nothing. I’d never done an activity like this before. I’d never really done any get-to-know-you activities. I’d only had one friend. We’d played game, but none like this. I grit my teeth and try not to look up at my friend. None of the games we’d played mattered obviously. He didn’t seem to care about those moment, so I didn’t care either.





“Yeah, I finished packing,” I reply. I reach over and grab 3 random pieces of paper. I pull them out. I had grabbed a yellow, red, and blue. I stare at the paper for a moment, thinking about what activity the half-elf and elf could have planned. It didn’t take me that long to figure it out. I’d done this activity before when I’d first enrolled into my knight training. “I wasn’t able to talk with my roommates much either, but I guess this activity will help us get to know them.” At least, that was obviously the hope. I’d noticed some people had already ducked out. Maliha seemed pretty persistent in everyone joining in, though. She was calling out for them. I wondered if anyone would listen to her.

I finish eating my food and place it in the sink, like I’d seen another girl do. I stand by Luna and wait patiently for her. I noticed a few people were near the couches, as well as Maliha, so I was guessing that was where we are expected to go for the activity.

Yoshi carefully wrapped the brown cube, brownie, in some napkins, "guess, I get to eat some unknown food later," she said to Clythia. Standing she walked over to Maliha and Mircea, and picked up 3 pieces of paper. Yellow, Orange, and Blue. She stared curiously at the half-elf and elf, trying to analyze what the two had planned for the students.

Clythia-
I finish my salad. "Oh!" I stand. "We're gonna do a 'get-to-know-each-other' activity! I'll save a spot for you!" I rush over to the sink, place my dish in it and head over to the couches. The couch was going to be pretty crowded, but there was another couch across the first one, so I sit down there, making sure to keep a space for Yoshi. I take 3 pieces of paper, blue, green and orange.

Patience-
I finish my salad and I carry my dish over to the sink. I didn't want to do the activity but at least I can learn about people this way. I'll store the information in my head and try not to forget. I grab three pieces of paper, yellow, green and orange. I sit down on the first couch.

Mikel fills his plate up with food snd tries to sneak out until Maliha calls. Shoot, they noticed. He finishes eating and heads into the main room. He takes a blue, green, and red piece of paper.

I wince and shuffle back into the common room. I take a red, a blue and a green. I found a bookcase and then quickly immersed myself in a book about troublesome beast who had caused injuries and deaths while in training. I felt myself stiffening and getting even more nervous, so I switched books. I had picked several books out to read later and started on one.

After grabbing her 3 pieces of colored paper, Yoshi went and threw out her trash. Three chicken legs, the best she had eaten in ages. Yoshi heads towards Clythia, who had saved a spot for her. "Thanks," Yoshi mumbles as she sat down, for she was still not used to having a friend.

"You're welcome!" Yoshi seemed a little...well, she seemed like she doesn't have much friends, so she toned down the cheerfulness down.

Ali snapped out of the dream, walked over tucked away the hair that had fallen in her face behind her ear and grabbed three colors, blue, green, and yellow. Then she walked over to the end and sat down tucking herself into the corner of the chair so others had room.

~ I walk towards the cafeteria and barely get there in time for announcements. I sit at a table after getting three colors, blue, green and yellow. I move them around in my palm, curious about what they were for.

Everyone was in the room now. Maliha smiles widely at all of them, pleased. She hadn’t expected all of them to come. I hadn’t expected anyone to come. Honestly, I wasn’t sure why I was still here. She proceeds to explain the directions of the activity to everyone. “Okay, so the reason I gave you the blank pieces of paper is because they represent a question about yourself that you’ll have to tell the group. For example, if you have a blue piece of paper you will have to tell everyone your favorite color. I have the chart right here.” She pulls out a piece of paper and places it in a place where everyone could read it.

Blue = Favorite Color
Green = Favorite Animal
Yellow = Fears
Red = Hobbies/Interest
Orange = Favorite Food

I scan it and then look down at my papers. Please tell me I didn’t grab… I practically slouch with relief. I hadn’t grabbed a yellow piece of paper. I wouldn’t have felt comfortable telling people I didn’t know my fear. What if they used it against me? I look up at Maliha when she begins to speak again. “We’ll take turns telling everyone our name and then the answers to our paper. Let’s start with one of our elves.” She smiles and gestures to me.

Shoot! I hated going first. I could feel everyone’s eyes on me. I hated that. I was glad I’d put my hoodie up again. It didn’t completely shadow my face like it had before, but it still gave me comfort. “My name is Agnimitra Morrigan.” The name felt weird on my tongue. This was the first time I’d told people my fake name. I glance down at my papers, blue, green, and red. It was harmless information to tell them. “My favorite colors are blue and orange. My favorite animals are Komodo dragons and tigers. One of my interests is reading.” There, I was already done. Not so bad.





The elf who almost choked went first. It was strange how alike we were. I watch her well after she was done speaking. It took me a moment to realize it was my turn. “Oh! My name is Lalitya Parvath. You can call me Lal, though. Another thing about my name is in a year, my last name will be Trelis instead.” I didn’t care what Gareth said. As soon as I turned 18, I was changing my last name. I didn’t know who my parents were, but Gareth had become my family now. That wasn’t going to change even if I got my memory back.

I shuffle the pieces of paper in my hand. “My favorite color is blue… and orange.” I give the girl a strange look. I wasn’t going to tell anyone this, but my favorite animals were wolves… and Komodo dragons. She was looking down at her feet. “I’m a knight, as you can tell, so I like to train and practice battling. I use a sword mostly. I have a fear of-“ ”Falling,” I hear someone hiss. At least, I thought I heard someone say that. When I looked up, everyone appeared to be listening. No one here knew about my fear of falling, aside from Luna, but I didn’t think she’d interrupt me. I shrug it off as just hearing things. “I have a fear of falling,” I continue. “And that’s it.” I look over at the next person to go.

Yoshi frowned, there was no way she was ever going to tell these people her fears. That would indicate weakness, and Yoshi wasn't like that. She was to be strong at all times; no matter the issue. This "game" they called it was nothing more than a waste of her time. Yoshi resisted the urge of getting up and just leave, she knew that it would land her in much trouble.

Mikel felt everyone's gaze shift toward him. Let's get this over with quickly. "I'm Mikel Diarmada. My favorite color is red. My favorite animal is an owl and my hobby is..." He pauses, not wanting to tell them that it was studying magic. "Uh, sleeping."

I piped in as quickly as I could when a moment of silence appeared. I didn't want to be last. I would rather be in the middle and forgettable.
"I-I'm Asteria Pearlsmouth, my favorite colors are purple and turquoise, my favorite animals are the chinchilla and otter. My hobbies are swimming and reading."
I turn back to my book as soon as I'm done, but listen to everyone else's answers. Thank goodness I didn't have to say my fears.

Yoshi sat up, she just wanted to get this over with. "They call me Yoshino. Yoshino Fidochi," she said, her voice filled with confidence. "Since I grew up eating mainly bread," she said, "and digging through trashcans" she growled to herself. Then turning to the group again, she finished her sentence, "I don't have a favorite food. My favorite color is... black, like soul," she joked with a chuckle. Hopefully they took that as a joke. Yoshi forced herself to relax. "I fear, nothing" she said with confidence, not a waver of doubt in her voice.

I beam. Yoshi seemed cool before, but now....She was even cooler! "My name is Clythia Valley Urcyrm, but you can call me Cly." I glance at the papers in my hand. "My favorite color is yellow, like a pastel yellow, my favorite animal is foxes and my favorite foods is chocolate and cake."

Patience-
Oh god! What colors did I pick?! Green, orange....yellow. Oh nonononononono. I can't tell them what I'm scared of! I have too many fears! Oh god, they'll think I'm a coward! Instead of waiting anxiously waiting for my turn, I start to store information. First person: Agnimitra Morrigan. Elf. Her favorite colors are blue and orange. She likes Komodo dragons and tigers. She likes reading. She seems like an intimidating person, so better not anger her. Agnimitra also seems very antisocial. She seems very upset right now. Maybe someone provoked her?
Second: Lalitya Parvath/Trelis. Human. His favorite colors are blue and orange. He likes wolves and Komodo dragons. He has a fear of falling. His nickname is Lal. His and Agnimitra's interests are very similar. They could be related somehow(not family related), though it could just be a coincidence. Expand this theory later.
Third: Mikel Diarmada. Human. His favorite color is red. He likes owls and one of his hobbies is sleeping. Seems friendly enough. Was very hesitant when saying his interest. Could be lying.
Fourth: Asteria Pearlsmouth. Half-Elf. Her favorite colors are purple and turquoise. She likes chinchillas and otters. She likes reading and swimming. Very antisocial. Seems harmless enough.
Fifth: Yoshino Fidochi. Half-Elf. She doesn't have a favorite food. Her favorite color is black. She doesn't have any fears. She seems to be friends with another half-elf. Intimidating. Do not provoke her.
Sixth: Clythia Valley Urcyrm. Half-Elf. Her favorite color is pastel yellow. She likes foxes. Her favorite foods is chocolate and cake. Very friendly and cheerful. She seems to be friends with Yoshino. Harmless.

I stop as I feel eyes on me. I was muttering. "Gah! Sorry! I just mumble sometimes! When I'm anxious!" I bite my lip. "Uh, my name is Patience Sterling IIrune, pretty weird name isn't it? I, uh, my favorite animals are, um, b-birds and uh, I like tea, but uh, oh god that's not a food, um, I like pastries a-and, uh I'm s-scared of um, uh..." I start to mutter. "A lot of things like heights, drowning, monsters, the dark but not actually the dark just what's in darkness, did that sentence make sense, jumpscares, Halloween in general, fighting, scary people and uh..." I shut my mouth. "S-Sorry."

"Um... My name is Aria Shadow, I uh, like the color silver, my favorite animal is a cat, like a wildcat, and... um... I'm scared of... Um..." I hesitate for a moment. I regretted choosing yellow now. "I'm scared of using my powers wrong and hurting someone." I say finally, then sit hastily back down.

I wonder if I should excuse myself to get my notebook and write all this down before I forget. But I could lose valuable information.

"My name in Alina but normally people call me Ali... my favorite color is green my favorite animal is a wolf or a tiger and... um one of my fears is being in the spotlight...."
