creature suggestion- lunabel

lets see if I can actually put this together HAHAHA its been a good ol 10 years my account on existed on the site and I have felt fairly nostalgic and just baffled at how old my account is (and how old I am T_T)

so today I'd like to give back to this site for being here for so long- I present a creature I have dubbed: lunabel (name coming from its moon and bell design)

the egg: As mysterious as the egg is, it seems to just appear as quickly as it vanishes. These eggs are only visible under a perfectly clear night sky during the full moon. Many people believe in a legend that the eggs actually are created out of moonlight however despite all research efforts they still can't seem to figure out how these eggs truly come about. All that's known is they can only be hatched if incubated every single night under moonlight.

the creature: When first hatched Lunabel are bright and glowing just like the full moon. Their pelts as they age slowly turn dark over time similar to the phases of the moon. Full grown Lunabels have a beautiful night sky pattern with a bright moon like tail. Besides that every one of them have a single bright star marking somewhere on their body. No two Lunabel have the same star in the same place making all of them unique.

The bells that grow on the body of every Lunabel makes the most delightful twinkle sound you will ever hear. Many who struggle to sleep at night claim that hearing this chime puts them quickly to rest. Whether this ability is magical, or because the sound is just so soothing, is unknown.

While these creatures have never ever been spotted eating it's believed they get all their energy by absorbing light from the moon. Nowadays Lunabel have become more and more rarely seen. Some have theorized due to the increase in cities all the bright lights have started blocking out lunar rays making them weaker, causing Lunabels to starve. With these events the species is "drying up" as the term has been coined. All the colors on an adult Lunabel slowly fade until it is pure black with only its unique star marking being seen. Once that star goes out the creature itself fades away.

thank you for reading I know its a big word dump but I surprisingly had a good chunk of ideas for it! I have no idea what type of creature this would be (event, monthly, cash) but since I made it as sort of a special occasion maybe it can be used for something just as special :]
and maybe.. I will make a surprising return to being active again as well?

omg I'd def pay 500 CC to see this, I love moon-inspired things and all the stages are so cute! I can't even choose which stage I like the best, they're all so beautiful! I'd buy copies just to freeze them ❤️

I have such of soft spot for fox creatures (I also love the phases of the moon concept), and this creature is so pretty!!! I NEED this creature in eggcave! 💕💕
