Hello again! Its ya girl, Dragrawr, back with yet another little guy!

This time we have a winter [December/January] creature suggestion that uses a bit of snow leopard, a bit of centaur, and a bit of fluff. (A lot, actually)

Please welcome the Boroonata, which means (roughly, obviously) "Blizzard Father" in Kyrgyz since some snow leopards can be found in Kyrgyzstan !

I put a lot of time and effort into this guy. Did you guys know its really hard to fit a giant fluffy centaur in a 90x90 box...

❆ December/January target month but any ol' frozen/cold theme works
❆ Tall boy, about 4.3 m tall
❆ Masculine gender ratio
❆ Coldworld habitat !

Speaking of ...NOTES!
- feel free to change up the pose/fit him in a box however needed. I had a ton of different poses in mind but the basic set up I had was "wobbly" baby form, chilling teenager form, and whimsical adult!
- fluffy!! BRAIDS!!
- eyes different each stage
- ice horns 😸

Now, the description... which I know all of mine tend to be super long I,, can't help it,,

Egg

Lost and cold, yet the blizzard will not consume you. As long as I’m here, you’ll be safe.

Creature

Your body is slowing down, your eyes are closing with every cautious step you take. The blizzard caught up with you on your travels, the snow slicing at your cheeks with a painful swiftness. At first you were panicked but your breathing is now a quiet murmur. You’re tired and your body is oh so heavy, and the snow is beginning to feel warm.

Perhaps you could rest there, just for a minute?

The blizzard is deafening with its incessant howling. Through the white noise- a crunch. A step. They’re getting closer to you, but you’re too tired to hope to defend yourself against something like a Xovo right now. You assume that is what had started this nightmare of a storm.

The steps are now loud, and a soft, large paw lightly touches your back, radiating a warmth far better than the snow you’ve hunkered down on. A small chirp breaks your train of thought and as you try to lift yourself up you notice you are being held high off the ground. Suddenly, an embrace of cuddly fur greets you. Just as fast as you had collapsed into the snow to accept your fate, you collapse into the arms of this beast.

You wake up, exhausted and weak in what seems to be a cottage, though spacious and filled with rows and rows of books. A library, perhaps. You rise up to look at the crackling fire and your eyes scan over to the grey mass next to it. The centaur beast that had rescued you smiles at you softly, his paws making no noise on the wooden floors as he makes his way to you, reaching out one of his fluffy paws to give you an additional blanket. That’s when you realize the myths were true.

It’s the Boroonata, the Blizzard Father.

It is said he rescues those who have lost their way in a blizzard and gives you wisdom beyond your years, and once the blizzard subsides, you return to your home- safe and sound.

His cloudy, blind eyes blink at you expectantly as he hands you a book. You look down at it, confused at the gesture. As you begin to inspect it he gives you a soft trill, tapping the book with his paw and with a low, kind voice, “Out loud, my dear friend.”

After you had read him a few books he began to tell you stories from the books he had memorized from before he was blind. Reciting them with a passionate air- excitedly bestowing his knowledge to his new visitor. He listens to your stories with ears perked, intently absorbing your characteristics and personality so he can always remember you.

He never forgets a face, given it’s the one he creates for you, the guest, but he tries his best to recreate your kindness into a tangible memory.

"Farewell, my friend."

And yeah that's it! I really hope you like him ^v^ He's a bit complicated but I think he is really friendly and adorable. I may chuck in some extras I did later on : P

@dragrawr Omg why does that description give me goosebumps? I love it so much! The 'wobbly' baby is definitely my favorite stage, but I also love how the adult's pose and face shows the wisdom the creature has.

I usually try to make the baby stages sleepy or as cute as possible and actually look like babies hehe and shrimp helped with that idea cus centaur = usually horse = baby horses have that STANCE as a baby 💙🩶🖤

@prairie me literally speed running trying to make him look big-cat like. I’m so used to dragon faces 😭 I think I stared at snow leopards for too long. Thank you as well 🥹💙🩶🖤 he is one majestic beast

My first thought: So many arms!!! lol but I love the leopard spots and the color scheme! It's very cool (pun), I got goosebumps just looking at it ❆

@dragrawr I got so lost reading the description, might I be in a blizzard too? Feels warm, though. ❤️

I always end up while reading making my own looks for the creature even though I read what it's supposed to look like. On the picture I keep looking at to horns and think the white spots are it's eyes. Aack! I need to remind to look little bit down to see its real eyes. Very well done creature! I'd love to see this come true ❤️

@minervaandmars I have never heard of that !! I looked it up and omg lol 😭 it reminds me of Sweet Tooth! I probably subconsciously did that. I usually name the suggestion before giving it a story, and I started with the word blizzard~ which led to me going “oh but what if he SAVED you from the blizzard” and bam. I’m so glad you like him 🖤🩶🩶💙💙💙
