Find The Gobblers is back with an all-new creature prize this year. Here's how it works: for the month of November, Gobblers will appear around the site. To collect one, click on it whenever you see one. The top 100 collectors will receive a 1000 CaveCash Voucher ($10) and a Leafcock at the end of the month.
NEW THIS YEAR! Gobblers are 100% opacity (i.e. not faded) but smaller in size. They appear less frequently but when they do, they will be more easy to spot and see! We hope that this improves the accessibility for our players.

@heatherm19 Unfortunately I don't have a ton of time to find them when I work so much now and since they're harder to find AND smaller this year, I definitely wont be able to make leaderboard this year ☹️ I love the new creature

@heatherm19 I fed a cove of 61 creatures and only found 3 Gobblers (with a trick that finds the Gobblers for ya.) Not worth looking while feeding imo. @elluwah As someone who has to squint at the screen inches away, i agree the larger but faded images were easier on the eyes.

I actually prefered when they were bigger and more frequent, now they are even harder to get... It's incredible how this website is either destroy your hands or destroy your eyes, if not both like this event... smh

Also, about this "We hope that this improves the accessibility for our players." Maybe if you want more accessibility, start to let us use the keyboard to feed and go to the next/previous adopt ??? This would help a lot of players not just for events but in general !

I have been in the top 50/100 about 4-5 times, and I gotta say, I, as a person who uses glasses daily, found this way a little less attractive, it's easier to spot if you keep refreshing the page and looking at the same place, but if I do that to many times I became dizzy☹️

@hinokazes I used the keyboard a lot to feed last night (well, there was a mouse involved too.) Ctrl + main click to open creatures, and Ctrl + Tab (+PgDn for left handers) then click to feed them. Though I suppose it would be a lot harder getting there by tabbing cursor.

(It was a new method for me. Definitely takes more processing power to do a whole bunch quickly. It would crash my daily computer. But I liked it enough that I may try it again in the future. Just NOT during the Gobbler Hunt.)

for the gobbler hunt if you’re on mobile put your phone sideways, instead of straight up, you will find more gobblers that way.

@Ian Chibi size. For some reason they keep reminding me of confection/cake decoration candies now. (If I were a fan of sweets I'd be tempted to try to pluck it off the screen to eat. lol.)

@Ian it's better now, thank you ! Considering I'm having both hands AND eyes issues, looking intensely at a screen searching for gobblers is horrible for my eyes. So they are welcoming this change, it'll be less painful to search for the gobblers !

Woo! I am loving the new wiggly gobblers! I can see them now, they jiggle like creatures that have just been fed, and I don't feel like I am straining my eyes! Thanks guys!

I can't remember, do re-releases not have the non-binary gender option? Or is that a bug? When I bought my Electrock earlier it only had male/female/surprise, and those are the only options for the other as well. @Ian

I love the change! I was never able to do past gobbler events because they were too difficult for me to see so I never bothered. But I've found more gobblers today than I have in the entirety of past gobbler events so I finally gonna make an effort this year! 😊

@heatherm19 Love it when that happens! (I forget how exactly they worked before but it was similar to Seeds and it would refresh the page for you; but we also referred to doubles, triples, etc, when a Gobbler would show up more than once on a page.)

I got scared when “i see one” suddenly popped out ;u; I thought I got cursed or something lol. Yeah I agree with @calenlass doesn’t make the hunt challenging anymore ☹️

I also agree with @calenlass and @twinkle. I do not think the 'I seen one' message is necessary since the Gobblers are large enough to find. I find the message a bit burdensome when I am feeding creatures and visiting the trade center. Is there a way to remove the notification?

@calenlass still plenty challenging enough for the visually impaired who still have to find it. (Unlike the big blue Feed bar that stays in one place.) I like to think of it like Where's Waldo. You know he's somewhere on the page.
