The beast circled her. Then it growled. Melodi shuddered. She pointed the knife at it. It lunged and she screamed as loud as she could.

Dust heard the scream, and brust the gate open. He started to run to where we heard the scream. "Oh, please let her be okay." he silently pleaded.

Melodi ducked and the beast leaped over her. She swung the knife and it made a gash in it's side. The leopard hissed and swiped at her. She stabbed the leopard's heart and it collapsed. Melodi breathed hard and then she blacked out.

Dust finally got to the scene. He saw a dead leopard, and Melodie passed out.
He slapped Melodie's face to see if that would wake her up.

Melodi groaned and rolled over, revealing a gash on her shoulder. Blood stained her white shirt and pooled on the ground. She blinked. "Get..Zen..." she croaked.

@taffy789 sort of, they can heal small wounds with their hands and some few can read the minds of people they are healing.

Dust was trying to close the wound. "There's too much blood."he thought.
He looked at Melodi worriedly.

Melodi cringed. "I'm okay....if I can get back to camp we can bandage it." she said. Melodi tried to sit up.

Zen led melodi back to the tent "lay on the mat wound up, this might sting the slightest bit" she swallowed hard, she was a strong healer, but not as strong as most

Zen nodded quickly and flashed a thankyou glance at him, she moved her hand over the wound, not touching it, but it removed any infection, she used a soft cloth to clear the dried blood and bit her lower lip, hoping she was strong enough to heal the wound

Melodi nodded and lie on the mat on her back. She looked at Zen. "Please hurry." she said, the pain was getting overwhelming.

Zen placed her hand on he wound as slowly the gash started gleaming gold, she could see it shrinking and smiled as it vanished "ok, eat this to dull the pain" Zen handed Melodi a black leafe

Melodi nodded and ate the leaf. The taste was dry and bitter. She almost spit it out, but she managed to gulp it down. The pain stopped throbbing. "Thanks. May I sleep now?" she asked.

Lee saw Melodi come back to camp with a huge gash, and gulped. Lee wasn't a healer, and could only watch helplessly as Melodi struggled.

Dust left the tent too, and wiped blood off his hands. Then, quickly ran into the forest to retrieve the leopard's body.
He was half way there when he heard the coyotes howl.....

Oralee was back at camp, bored to death. she suddenly heard a long howl, several, at a time, which definitely was not an appealing sound. she grabbed one of her arrows, not bothering the bow, and slowly stepped out. we had food. we had water. no doubt animals will try to take it. she sat back down, but kept a cautious eye out.

Zen coughed hard, the shreded part of her throght made it hard to breathe, but it was still impossable to heal she looked up at a long howl and her eyes widened, the same creatures that tore her face off were back.

Dust slowly backed away from the coyotes dduring their "Lunch time " on the dead leopard, but they advanced with their gleaming eyes.
Dust couldn't scream. But he DID have a panick attack.
